Hey there, Plagueis. It is I, your beloved Rollmaster and handsome friend, Dralin. Welcome to my first report for this position, in which I lay out exactly what I intend to get to eventually when I feel like it and to introduce to you all my minions (whom you have already met; I enjoy my formalities)!
Right now, I've got one major project on my lap: overhauling the MSP.
The master-student program has existed for a long time, but with the official nationalization of the mechanical aspect of Journeymen progress, I would like to see some official changes made to the MSP to match. Rather than have this issue of possible stepping-on-toes, I'd like to see the MSP act as a sort of Big Brother Big Sister program where a master would help induct new members to the culture of our club. We can't deny that we have a pretty specific social circle here, and it helps to have someone around to show new members the ropes in terms of communication and culture rather than purely "hey, go do this thing and it will get you promoted." In my vision of the future of the MSP, I see BTLs acting as signposts and guides, while masters are mentors and "sponsors". I'd like to know what you guys think of that!
I am truly honored to call Dracaryis and Qormus my worthless underlings. They do great work with our Journeymen by keeping them active and engaged while helping them through their promotion requirements. Unlike most Clans, the battleteam leaders report to me rather than their House Summits, so all activity tracking and promotion umph-ing can be done hand-in-hand. It's a fantastic system and I think the results speak for themselves; both Dracaryis and Qormus are recent graduates of this very program.
Rather than simply gush about them and their work, I'll let them speak for themselves.
In the Clan reorganisation, we lost a couple members and gained a couple. This included Jai'de who has probably been the Clans most active journeyman. She has completed 7 Shadow Academy courses, earning the Dark Maven Galactic History degree and an elevation to level 3 of the Shadow Academy Society. She has also continued her impressive run of activity in The Old Republic having now earned over 270 CFs! She has also completed the requirements for Jedi Hunter. That promotion will go through in the next few days. And to top it all off, she was awarded the Anteian Cross for her work. Great month, Jai'de, keep up the good work.
Jai'de isn't the only active member we have. Calvo and Kul'tak Drol have both been busy earning those promotions. We have a solid crop of journeymen at the moment, I look forward to helping them all reach DJK!
Battleteam Apostles of Syn:
The past few weeks have served as a transitionary period for the Apostles of Syn. Since the last report, the Clan executed a major reshuffling of personnel, dramatically changing the organization and members of the two battle teams within the clan. As a result of the reshuffle, the Apostles of Syn battle team now boasts nine engaged members who are steadily knocking down targets and working towards their next promotions!
Recent Promotions:
To Guardian (GRD):
1) Vanessa Rhode: Notable achievements: Participated in five competitions, achieving a crescent for her third place finish in the Star Wars Caption Competition event. She further distinguished herself by co-organizing a fiction competition for the entire Dark Jedi Brotherhood, allowing members to describe how they built (or would build) their personal lightsaber. Also, she has published an excellent character sheet describing her characters likeness, traits and abilities!
2) Kryy Vitaan: Notable achievements: Cleared twelve courses in the Shadow Academy, maintaining a 96.85% average and earning two Dark Pundit degrees in Essentials and Vendetta, as well as a Dark Maven degree in Lore studies. His efforts also elevated him to Rank II in the Shadow Academy! Also participated in three competitions, participating in the Speed Sporcle #7 Challenge, the Revenge of the Meme event, and the It Was My First Day fiction competition, garnering a Cluster of Ice for his efforts. Not satisfied with only participating in competitions, Kryy co-organized a unique competition requiring members of the Brotherhood to craft an English Sonnet focused on how members were dealing with the outcome of the Eleventh Great Jedi War.
To Protector (PRT):
1) Svere 2) Lourana Seaborn
New Member Highlight
This month’s new member highlight is PRT Lourana Seaborn!
PRT Lourana Seaborn joined Clan Plagueis and the Apostles of Syn less than four days ago. In that time, Lourana has skyrocketed through the first few Journeyman ranks, attaining the rank of Protector in less than 48 hours. In that time, she has completed 21 Shadow Academy courses, including the exceptionally difficult Debate I: Argumentation, Cryptography I and II, and Poetry Studies courses. She has also received two Dark Pundit degrees in Essentials and Vendetta. Finally, she has participated in three competitions.
Lourana is already making a name for herself, and I am excited to see where she will go in the future.
All in all, a great month for the Apostles of Syn! Keep up the good work, and get ready for the super-awesome Clan Plagues event that’s just around the corner!

And there you have it, folks. It's the nature of the Rollmaster office and the battleteams to be quiet work, but I hope this little report might have shown some light on what we do. I'll catch you fine folks on IRC and email!
