Welcome to September, fellow Plagueians! I hope you all are enjoying the rest after an incredibly busy and productive summer. It’s been a little longer than I like between reports, but the real world and new job have challenged me in my ability to balance my real life with my DB life. That said, things are balanced now, and I’m excited about everything we have coming in the near future.
As mentioned in Teylas’ recent report, we have executed a massive reorganization inside Clan Plagueis. We have closed the Disciples of Dreypa and Apostles of Syn Battleteams, and created a new training ground/Battleteam called The Circle. The Circle’s goal is to guide all of our new members toward becoming the future knights and leaders of Clan Plagueis! This is a monumental undertaking, and I am extremely grateful to Taranae and Kul’tak Drol for stepping up to be the very first leaders of this new element. I look forward to seeing all of our members “graduate” from the ranks of The Circle and move into one of the main Houses!
I’m sure you are all biting at the bit for what is coming next for the Clan. You’ve read the most recent DB fiction: Chapter 2: Treason and seen that one of our own has betrayed the clan! Our fleet is destroyed, and we are continuing our efforts to bring our base on Aliso to a fully operational capacity. In the very near future, we will re-visit our alliance with Clan Tarentum in another cooperative event! I have seen the planning document for this, and I won’t lie, it’s going to be an event that you won’t soon forget. In the meantime, there are plenty of things to do in the club, so get out there, sign up for things and earn some rewards!
I have something special planned for all of you as well! Starting in November, I will be running a year-long event called “Plagueis Proving Grounds.” This is a gaming focused event that will have something for everyone. Console PvE and PvP, PC Gaming, Pazaak, Mobile Games, Single-Player events, and maybe even some flash gaming (Pod Racing anyone?) thrown into the mix. At the end of the year, the individuals with the highest overall score (scoring system still in the works) will be afforded the opportunity to compete in the culminating event: A bracket-style competition with various surprise events. At the end of the year, the top three individuals in the bracket will win Crescents! All events will offer some form of crescent as well, so there’s a LOT of rewards for those willing to test themselves!
Let’s get to it!
Regent Report :1 There’s a new DC Position! Evant is the first ever Regent of the Dark Jedi Brotherhood. Possessions is coming, everyone! Evant is looking for Magistrates, so go apply!
Herald Report #17 New stuff, some Herald Fiction, and a survey on the future of graphics in the club. Go help our most excellent Herald out and take the survey. You know you want to!
As always, I want to take this time to welcome some of our new members to the Clan. One of the best parts about being Rollmaster is I’m one of the first people to welcome our new members, but it’s imperative that you all do your part in bringing them into the fold.
Che Marcho - Assigned to The Circle
Armageddon - Assigned to The Circle
Welcome back Knight James Roberts-Branigan !! JRB is a former Aedile of House Revan, and was a former Quaestor’s Apprentice! Welcome to Clan Plagueis, we’re glad to have you back among us!
A BIG welcome back to Battlemaster Furios Morega!! Furios is returning after a short break in the Rogues, and we are absolutely thrilled to have him back in the Clan!
As always, there is a lot to do within Clan Plagueis. For you newer members, and for those of you still climbing the promotion ladder to knighthood, these are some of the best ways to earn promotion credit!
On the main competition page you’ll find a ton of events ranging from gaming to graphics to fiction, with some other more unique events sprinkled in there.
Some of our members have set up competitions for the Clan and DB at large, and I want to highlight them specifically!
Taranae is running her Annual Pazaak Playoff!. Sign ups are closed, but for those that missed it, make sure you cheer on your fellow Plagueians! For those who are on the bracket, best of luck, and may the RNG be ever in your favor!
Our own [Tharess Crestar(https://www.darkjedibrotherhood.com/members/13726 ) is running a Fiction Competition called They Whom From The Darkness Came. This competition focuses on your own character’s reaction to the arrival of the First Order in the SW Universe! Go sign up and support Tharess as he knocks down one of his key promotion requirements!
I am going to re-post something from my first report.
It goes without saying that many members of the club stagnate at JM4. I can’t stress this enough: once you reach Knighthood (or the associated version of JM4 for you non-force user types), you need to stay active! Doing “stuff” and “things” is not going to be enough anymore. Equites are expected to become producers for the club instead of consumers of activity. Get involved with your House or with the Clan Summit. Organize some competitions. Work on a project that benefits the Clan or the DJB at large.
I’ll put this bluntly: We had more Journeymen than Equites take part in the summer events. We had Equites sign up for events (individual and team) and then simply not do them. I get more messages than I care to mention asking “why haven’t I been promoted yet,” and when I look at the activity log, there’s barely enough activity to justify a pat on the back, let alone a promotion to the next grade.
Time in grade is important (and generally a hard timeline), but you have GOT to do more than a couple of events here and there if you want to get promoted.
At the end of the day, what you do (or don’t do) matters.
Additionally, I want you all to seriously consider taking on a student if you don’t already have one. If you have a student who has gone rogue, shoot me a message on telegram and I’ll look at a possible candidate for you. Taranae and Kul’tak can only do so much. One on one interaction with our new members can have a much larger effect on their activity and club enjoyment.
I am absolutely thrilled at where Plagueis is going both fictionally and in terms of activity. I’ve said it in almost every report, but you all are what makes this club special. Without active members, we would not be the Clan we are today. Thanks for all you do to make leading in this Club such an incredibly rewarding experience.
I hope you’re all looking forward to the next big Plagueis thing. We’ve got some great stuff in the works, and I can’t wait to see you all go out and crush it! You guys and gals are what make this club great, so keep doing all the things, stay involved, and don’t be afraid to reach out if you have any questions, concerns, or general comments on how we can continue to get better!
1) I was busy, but now I’m not.
2) Gonna do some more stuff with Tarentum! Yes!!!
3) Drac’s got some goodies planned for all of you!
4) Welcome to newbies and a not so newbie!
5) Go do things! And Stuff! And also things!
Until next time!

So excited for the changes and looking forward to working with our journeymen! Everyone go cheer on our pazaak players!
Excellent report, Drac.
And I totally echo your sentiment about activity, as well. The "things" can be done, and most of them take little time. Most importantly, being active and participating in events is also gratifying to the producer of said content.
In essence, it's a circle of creation and participation. Content is made for us, the Clan members, with the hope we'll have a good time. Enjoy what we make here in this awesome club. :)
I'm excited to see how the year long event plays out! Gaming for everyone, sounds like a seriously awesome idea.
Great report!
I can't highlight my agreement with Drac's assessments in the Equite section enough. The summit has and will go to bat HARD for anyone that's earned their promotion, as long as you guys give us the ammunition with which to fight. :)
As Drac highlights: many changes in Plagueis now. I'm so excited for what's to come!
Nice report, Drac
