Crannix System
Caperion Sector
Unknown Regions
The void was full of flickers of light, so distant in origin, that they were naught but a single pin-prick point against the vast canvas of blackness. Crannix Station sat silent guard over the lush jungle world of the same name. The station rotated slowly, shining like a beacon in the light of the local star. Save for the uncompleted sections, the station had been painted a crisp white-gray, with markings and indicators in a rich golden yellow adorning areas near the docking bays.
The silent emptiness of space was broken suddenly. The Imperial Navy, in all her might, instantaneously appeared from hyperspace. Each vessel slowed rapidly, coming to a stop. The area was quickly swarmed with hundreds of starfighters.
The disc-like Crannix station had grown tremendously in the past two years and the Pendeks were beginning to grow fat off the credit surplus the station afforded them. They had welcomed the Empire to Crannix years before. Imperial credits had now become the standard currency of the local commodities markets. Relations were good between the factions. The Pendeks looked to the Empire with respect and admiration. At this exact moment, they viewed the Empire with a healthy fear.
The Pendek Delegation had welcomed Imperial Trade and allowed Imperial warships to pass through, but they had never seen so many warships at once, nor ones as large as the Empire had brought to bear. This show of force was worrying. What was normally a bustling market port would serve a different purpose for the day. It would serve as the grounds for a “peace” summit.
Peaceful by nature, the Pendeks were a simple species and open to the concepts of diplomacy, but they had a peculiar moral code. The red furred Simians also had a penchant for repairing damaged technology, but lacked the innovative mind to create their own proprietary tools. So, when they were approached by diplomats from the Chiss Hegemonia and the Empire to serve as the hosts for these important talks, they agreed for the meager price of an exchange of basic machinery and other manufacturing apparatuses.
Bijak Sana, the Pendeks’ elected leader, was beginning to regret such a low offering price. With the Empire’s aggression this task might not be so simple. His large paw flipped a switch, opening a communication channel.
“Greetings, Exalted guests. Crannix welcomes the Empire...This is Optium Bijak Sana, Voice and Mind of the Pendek. We are eager to meet with the Emperor again. It would please us to have him join us, enjoy some Najan wine and begin these meaningful talks.” Bijak stammered.
“Crannix Station, have you completed your preparations?” returned a faceless Imperial voice.
“Yes, everything is set as you have requested. We still await the appearance of the representatives of the Hegemonia. We might suggest...” Bijak paused “that your vessels maintain a safe distance from the station until they have arrived.” “Your suggestion is noted, Crannix Station. Standby for further transmissions, we will notify you when our delegation has departed.” the voice returned.
As if on queue, the Chiss Force appeared. The fleet was far smaller in size. Only twenty or so vessels made up their task force. The hulls were unconventional, they had a confused blend of organic shapes and angular bulkheads. Something about the foreignness of the designs made them hauntingly beautiful. Six shuttles, accompanied by a small detachment of fighter craft left the Chiss fleet, destined for the saucer-like station.
Once the vessels had landed, the Imperial Navy maintained radio silence for nearly twenty minutes. A swarm of TIE Defenders arranged themselves in a tight formation. Creeping from under the massive hull of the ISN Palpatine, a polished Chrome Lambda-class shuttle appeared and moved to the heart of the formation. They moved as one toward Crannix Station.
“Crannix Station…Prepare for the arrival of His Imperial Majesty, the Emperor.” the voice said firmly.
The Peace Summit had begun.
A Map:
I thought for this installment of my report I would introduce the general surroundings of the Empire.
Unless you’re a moisture farmer on Tattooine, many people in the galaxy get the chance to venture away from their homeworlds. As we are a group of jet-setting Sith, Loyalists, Mercenaries and More, each of our characters would likely have some insight about where the Caperion System is.
So, Where is the Caperion System? The Caperion System is located in Galactic Grid I-3 (You sank my scrabbleship!).
I-3 is located right at the end of the Braxant Run and the Entralla Route hyperspace lanes. In Legends, this general area of space was full of Imperial Remnant warlords and is along the path that Grand Admiral Thrawn took in his attempt to retake the galaxy. In canon, this area of space is the area where the First Order sprung up. So, being close to this area makes perfect sense for the Imperial Clan!
Now that we know generally where the Caperion System is located, let’s talk about the local space!
Some Art from Kah’ri:
This is a little map of the local star systems that I had Kah’ri draft up for us. This is the Caperion Sector. It’s pretty neat.
System? Sector? This is confusing! What’s the difference between a sector and a system you ask? Good question!
The Wookieepedia entry on Sector defines it as “an area of space or land framed by an artificial, conventional boundary.” I like to think of the Caperion System as the area in which Scholae Palatinae has a Social, Economic, or Military influence.
A system on the other hand is just the celestial bodies that orbit a single star. Usually these are planets and asteroids. So, when I refer to the Caperion System it’s just the planets around our star Caperion. These are the planets which we own which appear on the Clan Possession tab.
Now that we have that defined: Back to the Caperion Sector!
These 25 or so individual star systems make up the Caperion Sector. You’ll notice that the Caperion System is at the core of the sector. Some of these star systems have been explored in previous fictional events. For those that participated in our first Adventure RP, you will likely recognize some of these systems, such as Crannix, Garo, and Afash Systems.
Crannix, of course, was featured in the fiction at the beginning of this report and is the home of the Pendeks…and, unfortunately, Crinkly Calvin Crannix. I have built a kind of rough framework for this system and its inhabitants. Someday we'll get to putting this on the wiki, so that it can be easily referenced.
The other notable system in the Caperion Sector is the Koudooine system. This is the base that the Hutts were operating from as they tried to infiltrate the Caperion System. It features a frigid ice world with a fancy ice palace like in that one James Bond movie with Halle Berry.
A(n) Pendek:
Crinkly Calvin Crannix and his stupid punchable face:
Most of the other systems have very little written about them. Feel free to explore some of the other local systems in future competitions! As we move forward with our Narrative event, we will be exploring more of the local space and learning more about the Caperion System itself.
Since my last report we’ve had some movers and shakers earning lots of big shinies and new ranks. We have a couple of new members, Huntsman and Kagon have both been killing it. We also have some returning members, like Brujah! Here’s some of your accomplishments, in no particular order:
Elaine Conrat: Promoted to EQ2, Sapphire Blade
Ellac Conrat: Promoted to EQ 2, Sapphire Blade
Huntsman: Promoted up to JM3! Steel Cross, Anteian Cross, Dark Cross
Kagon Agra: Promoted up to JM3! Steel Cross, Anteian Cross, Dark Cross
Vincent Brujah: Promoted to EQ3! Sapphire Blade
Eliana Kilaeon: Promoted to JM3!

That’s alot of awards! Keep up the great work CSP! You guys are crushing it and I’m so proud of you!
I wanted to also extend a thank you to Titius as well. Although he’s gone over to Clan Plagueis now, Titius was a huge contributor to CSP’s early success this year. His donation of time and monetary resources to open the Official Unofficial CSP Minecraft Realm was great fun for many of us that dabbled there. Thanks Titius! We’ll miss you!
One last group of shout outs. I wanted to thank my fellow Summit members. Rayne, Ellac, and Kah’ri have been great. In the last couple of weeks as I geared up to launch Chapter 2 of our narrative campaign, they all really stepped up in major ways. Their help is so valuable and it allows us to bring more to you! Thanks team!
My main goal as Consul has been to create an attractive and deep fictional environment for us all to play in. For many of us the DJB is an escape. We get to write about having lightsabers and blasters and not worry about Taxes or Paying Bills.
One of the most fun parts of being Consul is being able to take the wheel and steer the narrative ship in a certain direction. It’s kind of like DMing a Dungeons and Dragons Campaign. While that’s super exciting (and alot of work), I’ve always found that there is a very basic problem with just taking the wheel and going wherever you want. The problem is pretty simple: Player Characters care about what their Characters are doing more than anything else. Where I steer doesn’t matter if the Players aren’t invested in it. This isn’t MY story, it’s ours.
So, with that in mind I set out to find a way to include you all in the narrative direction of CSP. I referred to this as the IMPS systems in my last report. Well, after a test run with Chapter 1, so far getting your characters involved in the story and letting you all choose the direction we go with a few plot points has proved pretty successful. It is my intention to keep this going with the current fictional arc we are on.
Where do you come in? Simple. These narrative events are excellent opportunities to learn more about your characters, become embroiled in the story of CSP, and earn credits and tons of XP. The more you participate in these events, the bigger your part becomes in the story and the more rewards you earn!
Both Brujah and NeMo were featured in Chapter 2. Chapter 3 could be you! Get your character in the limelight for a bit!
Then there is the personal aspect to participating. If you just participate in all of the events, that is 550 XP and 4950 credits. If you do all the things, you’re likely to place in some of the events which only increases those numbers.
The point is: huge opportunities to advance your dossiers and huge opportunities for your characters.
Chapter 2 is live now. Dive in and participate. The more we can build together.

Also, if you have any feedback for the Summit, please feel free to Email me, or DM me on Discord. It doesn’t have to be specifically related to the narrative campaign. Let us know how we’re doing. Where can we improve? Are we missing something?
Stickers for Discord: The Herald is offering up 7 Stickers for use on our Discord channel. Rayne has a competition open for ideas. It ends next week. Get your submissions in. Free XP for your ideas! Check it out in the competition section below!
The Acolyte is coming out soon. I am so excited! What Star Wars Media are you excited for?
Duk asks: What are your goals for the Clan and its members?
Thran answers: Good question. To put it simply: To create an attractive, welcoming, growing, and fun community with a deep, rich and exciting fictional background, where members are engaged and involved in community and personal growth.
In other words. Have fun, make stories, hand out promotions and medals, and grow.
Titius asks: What are your outward interclan diplomacy tactics?
Thran answers: Sun Tzu said “If you know the enemy and know yourself, your victory will not stand in doubt.”
I think that CSP is starting to learn who we are again. We’re looking to find our strengths and our weaknesses before venturing too far from home. The time will come for us to know our foes, but right now we’re doing some self-care.
Kah’ri asks: Does Thran model as well as perform in holovids?
Thran answers: Technically speaking…No, Thran does not. But, here’s the longer, more accurate answer. The man you know as Thran was born Derc Kast. Derc Kast is a famous action Holofilm star. He’s featured in such films as The Rog Draft and the sequels, SpaceCop, SpaceCop 2: Back in Action, Into the Unknown, The Betrayal of Illsta Senn, Double Payback, Death Inferno and Terminal Velocity. He did get his start as a male model, but these days he doesn’t do much modeling beyond the occasional ad campaign for fragrances or haute couture runway shows as a featured model. Short answer: Yes, but films pay better.
Kamjin asks: Can you comment on the Great Hutt Expansion of DB:CCG that’s in production?
Thran answers: Yes. I can. Will I? Ugh, fine…I guess. Honestly, I think it's really cool to see, but the actual game mechanics are kinda clunky for my liking. I should really spend more time actually learning to play the game. Also, needs more Terrence.
The Empire needs more Troopers! Do you have friends, family, casual associates, who are interested in Star Wars related content? Think they might enjoy the DJB? Do they like Star Destroyers?

Can the usurper become the usurper?
I'm just here so I don't get fined.
Ugh, auto correct killed my post. Anyways, great post and amazing expansion of the lore with the Caperion Sector. I’m glad to see our last fictional work has been incorporated.
And Terrence is definitely in the next release.
Comment.
But seriously, good report. Thanks for working hard as our Consul to make CSP fun. For the Empire!
Wonderful report. Can't wait to see everyones' submissions for Chapter 2 and the resulting medals. I'm super excited we're headed in this narrative-inclusion direction! For the Empire!
p.s. I need a video of Derc Kast performing Frozen 2's Into the Unkown now.
What's this, a major politician with a theatre/film background? Okay, maybe I'm warming up to the Empire after all, as long as the run-up wasn't Zoolander in Space.
