In the sections below you will find an address to visitors from Celebration viewing the club for the first time, furthermore I’ve summarized news from across the club, marked several key dates related to our Clan fiction, and release some announcements regarding new developments in our Clan.
Before I begin, I’d like to both address the delay in this report as well as thank some people for their concern. Historically, April is a tough month for the club - its a transition month from winter to spring, school to summer break, and most importantly a shift in schedules. Across the club we have parents working out what their kids will be doing with the extra hours of light, we have university and college students cramming for exams, and we have a variety of personal interests that start up now. For me personally, April is planting season and its been a bit rough this year. As several of you know, this past weekend I was hospitalized for a seizure and while I know this has caused some concern I want to assure people that I’m fine, but I thank you for your concern.
It’s a mark of how great this club is, we create real friendships here and when I wasn’t available for a few days in a row unlike my routine I know a couple of you poked me to see what’s up. We care for each other. We are more than just a group of random SW nerds. We are a group of friends connected by this club.
We are Tarentum.
In Darkness We Trust
SBL Raiju Kang Consul of Tarentum
To those viewing the website for the first time, or anyone in general interested in knowing more about Tarentum, I want to say; Welcome! Likely you have seen or heard much about the Dark Jedi Brotherhood already, but I’d like to share with you the history of Tarentum as written by Dark Jedi Master Sith Bloodfyre-Tarentae :
Tarentum: The Tau House.
Our history starts with that notorious squadron. It was Kaerner and his comrades who breathed life into us. It was Tau who had denied the Grand Master's orders to join a House, even though they were bound in his service as his honor guard; to protect their liege, they needed to remain unbound by oaths of loyalty to others. And yet, the Sith King is relentless, he is commanding, and Kaerner, Tau's commanding officer, was honor bound to obey. Justinisn Khyron, Dark Lord of the Sith and Grand Master of the Brotherhood, the Sith King, had initiated the birth of Tarentum, as brought by his servants. Tau created us. They are our forefathers, and we are their legacy, their heirs. We must not disappoint.
Tarentum was known to be a proud and honorable House, and entirely skilled. It was Tarentum and its Tau fathers who won the first House Wars, claiming the Victory-class Star Destroyer Corsair as prize. It was the skill and experience of notorious Sith such as Master Zero who eradicated their enemies. It was powerful Krath such as the Mad One, Sirrus, who claimed supremacy. The founding days of Tarentum and its youth were filled with glory, honor and prestige. We claimed a legacy of creating a line of Dark Council members, not only Kaerner, and Master Zero, and Sirrus, and Faethor, but many others. That legacy is ours, and while others may try to forget, we remember. We do not forget. We eradicate our detractors, we eliminate our offenders, and we deny the dishonorable a place among us. Tarentum is, if nothing else, a Clan of honor.
As a mark of pride, a badge of our honor, it was Tarentum who stood as Guardians of the Shroud at the call of our Lord Cotelin, the Grand Master of past times. It was he who had led the great Houses to become Clans, and when he ascended the Iron Throne once more, after Firefox, it was he who anointed us to that honored station. It was I as Praetor and Sith High Warrior, Master Bloodfyre, who sealed that bond. The Shroud, the obscure gateway from the rest of the galaxy that sealed off Antei, the home of the Brotherhood, was a barrier, with few pathways through, and those were known to us, and guarded by us. We were the first line of defense to the Dark Council, to the Grand Master, a legacy of Tau and her service to the Dark Lord. We had a place of honor, we took the defense of our Lord Cotelin seriously, but others were jealous. When the Brotherhood fled Antei, other voices ensured that the Grand Master would turn away from us, other voices that whispered we weren't to be trusted.
We were feared; we had bonded with the Keepers, those beings obsessed with darkness and death, and became the Clan of Death. Others denied our loyalty, and we were pushed away. Our loyalty remains to the Sith King, but we wait for the day when the Grand Master will see us as faithful sons and daughters. We never forget; our legacy is to serve our Clan, our liege, and his chosen heir who holds the Iron Throne. We are needed; we must be ready.
Tarentum remains the Clan of Death. We study death, we revel in battle, we find honor in service. We are the legacy of Tau, and the faithful of our liege, Justinian Khyron. The Sith King's heirs hold the Iron Throne, and our Lord Pravus demands fealty, but he rewards us with his grace, and uplifts us with his power. He is a bastion of our support, and we will not dishonor him. The Sith King is our father, our master, our creator. His heir, Darth Pravus, is our benefactor. We are his warriors, his defenders, his Clan of Death.
We are Tarentum.
As was mentioned regarding the Fist’s report, the rules for The Old Republic and Cluster of Fires have changed. Now, you no longer need to be in the DJB guild to earn CFs. This is huge for Tarentum ! A number of our members haven’t been in the DJB guild for awhile, yet have been making themselves available to help rookie members through the content or collect CFs. Their selflessness has been rewarded, and now they too can earn CFs as well as recognition for Tarentum by being active in a platform they were already rocking.
There is a catch though
Members need to have their character names registered with the website or else they will not be counted. In the last week or so since the Fist’s report, we already have had a couple of members nailed for this. It’s unfortunate but these things happen.
What you need to do:
As many know, the fiction from my last report ,Half Past Midnight, was turned into a Run-On competition that concluded at the end of March. Unfortunately other matters have been a priority which delayed its conclusion for being posted but I have some exciting news and deadlines below:
Both the conclusion for the Run-on and the Winners of the event will be announced
Will begin a mini-series competition of 3 competitions following up the conclusion of Half Past Midnight that will carry us to the first chapter of the new storyline. Important notice: Should a member place 1st in all three competitions, they will be additionally awarded command of an upcoming new Tarentum addition to the Tarentum military structure
An update will be released detailing some special information on the Clan Summit, specifically the nature of the relationship between Raiju and Darth Aeternus and how this will influence Tarentum.
Another short, quick update will be released from the perspective of the winner of Half Past Midnight
Launch Day of the new Clan storyline
In total we will have 3 new plot updates from different perspectives over the course of the next week, then will have the launch of the new storyline with its first Chapter and its own full length update.
Recruitment/Social Media Team
If you will recall my Clan Address you will remember that recruitment is a priority for the clan. In fact, with a solid foundation being rolled out in the next week (see below) that means our focus needs to be on bringing in more people. Already we have been doing well with Caesar’s management of the social media accounts - but we can’t stop here. We need a team of people looking after these accounts to insure timely and lively discussion, offer more than one personality in the clan, and to get some more ideas on the table. Furthermore, we need to look other areas for recruitment than the social media accounts.
Recruitment should be a responsibility of every member. However, this team will be responsible for setting up a clan-wide recruitment strategy for everyone to follow. Therefore as our highest priority and the level of responsibility required, this is a huge opportunity to earn merit for awards/promos for those getting involved.

New Storyline:
Want to be a group member? Contact one of the listed Project Managers above.
Want to be a Project Member? Keep an eye out for upcoming projects, or if you have an idea or concept of your own submit a proposal to the Clan Summit.
When I launched this tool it received a fair bit of use. I have dealt with the BT questions during their launch. A couple our submissions were private requests for contact. Since then, we have unfortunately had some spam submissions to the form from a disgruntled member who had left the unit. I want to remind everyone that this is a resource for productive member feedback and criticism, not a space for naming-calling, belittling, or simply trying to goad the summit.
My next report will be out on May 1st, this report will be a collection of announcements on the mailing list over the next week and a half about new documents, policies, and structure changes about to hit the clan (plus will also include the launch of the new clan storyline). What to watch for over the next week:
Each of these will be released over the next week, and once they are announced and later included in my next report they will be uploaded to the wiki.

Always informative, always leaving us wanting more. Particularly intriguing, the tantalizing bit about Raiju, Aeternus, how the apprenticeship will affect Tarentum... I can't wait to see how this unfolds.
Glad you're doing well after everything last week Raiju!
Cool History Summary for Tarentum.
Moar people at Celebration London!
You know, in some ways, Tau has a legacy in at least two of the units, technically three that I can think of. Taldryan has a bunch of old school and new school Tau members, like Yacks, Rax, I think Howie is, as well. And they were "flying protection" similar in honor status to what the GMRG was eventually born to. There's ties among a lot of the Clans, when we look for them.
Even cooler, with new games coming, the work you guys did at Celebration, and the new movies coming out, new history is in the making. I think we all realize, this is a cool time to be in the Club.
I'm glad you're doing well Raiju! It's nice to see the progress and awesome to see Lev back around. Tarentum Momentum!
Indeed DJM Bloodfyre, there is lots of history in the DB that involves Clan Tarentum, and not all of it as negative as is currently portrayed. While many have heard of Zoraan as an absentee and ineffective ruler, few remember how interesting he could be as a Dark Jedi, and how much information and lore he had. Many speak of the great piloting skills of Tau members, and rightly so, but how many speak of Proton, and his capable skills as pilot and leader, not just here in the Brotherhood, but in all areas of his existence. Alas, also forgotten (or at least not often mentioned) is Kumba, who established many ideas and institutions, not just for Tarentum, but for the entire Brotherhood. There is much that Tarentum offered to the Brotherhood in the past, and there is much more that it shall provide in the future. Our future is like our past, Dark, but with a touch of lightness that while unexpected is quite refreshing. It is often said that without dark, there can be no light, and that is true, it is also true that too much darkness makes everything the same. While "In Darkness we Trust" is our motto, or as I used to hold "In Obscuritas Credemus" we should welcome a few small sparks of light (or at least some less Dark) into the Clan in order to strengthen our future.
<kicks away soapbox>
In other news, it is great to be back home - now will someone PLEASE tell me where the Ex-Consul lounge has gone to, I need to relax a little and share more stories of the times long-ago to those that care to listen.
I admit, I wanted to throw my arms in the air, and shout, "Yes!" when you emailed back, Pel. I remember you; I remember Proton, and nightly chats with Kumba in #tarentum (when he held it with X for us), and Harconan, and Kodiak, and Nazke|du, and others. I remember when I first met Kaerner, when I called Shadow back from the life of retirement (easy to find, because of the Diamond Sword for service to Tarentum), and more. And it's good to have you back aming us, back home, Pel, because you're another link to our great past. And another great Consul back among us.
It's good to have you back. I'm still trying to track down Ciara, and Proton and others. But little by little, the work progresses. :)
I am happy to be back among the Clan. It has been far to long since I walked these dark halls and battled against the self-righteous Jedi. I have great memories of being active and working often with Sithie.
