Community

The Dark Jedi Brotherhood is a community of friends, writers, and gamers who have contributed to our club's success over the past twenty years. The great thing about our community is that we often have members who help each other out for no reason beyond being a good person. I'd like to lead my report with a quick shout out to two such people.

Former DGM Morgan B. Sorenn recently contributed to Clan Vizsla by providing our shiny new DB Image. Vyr did not have to do this and we are extremely grateful for his contribution to our Clan. Thanks Vyr!

Current SCL Prophet James Lucius Entar fielded two requests from Clan Vizsla and completed them in the amazing manner that we have come to know from him. The projects included a "Credits Contributed" tab and a "Recognition Tracker" on the administration panel for DJB leaders. While the Credits Contributed request was to help Vizsla with our Clan naming convention (#creditsnotpolitics), the Recognition Tracker is a useful tool for all Club Leaders. The recognition tool allows Consuls the ability to rapidly review their roster and see when the last time members were awarded a merit award, sacrament award , or promotion. This tool will save a lot of time for a lot of folks in the future.

Vyr and James are great teammates and we are extremely appreciative of their efforts. Thanks Guys!

Gorefest(Vizfest?): 1st place Warlord Rulvak Qurroc (Crescent with Diamond Star), 1st place Augur C'ree (Crescent with Diamond Star), 3rd place Warlord Rajhin (Crescent with Amethyst Star), 4th place (Tybalt/Kris), Sixth Place Farrin, 9th place Zoron, and 9th place Aiden. Sweeping the top four and having six in the top ten is an amazing achievement. Great work gang!
2. Diablo Speed Run (Vizablo, I'm reaching): 1st place Augur C'ree (Crescent with Diamond Star), 2nd place Warlord Rulvak Qurroc (Crescent with Ruby Star), 3rd place Eminent Val Cole (Crescent with Amethyst Star). Sweeping the top three is bad ass. Great work team!

We also have those educated types:

1. Turel became an Lawyerception and obtained his DB Dark Sage Law Degree (Also on Advancing to Doctor in the Society. Pretty soon you will have more titles than you can handle).
   
2. Appius Wight decided to knock out 23 SA courses in the last week (16-23 June)
3. Ku'lok Vao also decided to crush 8 SA courses in the last couple of weeks.
4. And even Old Timers can learn, Ernordeth decided to come out of the Rogues and knock out Consular legends. I see you buddy!

This is an awesome way for the Clan to begin putting our mark on the map and great individual/team efforts by all of you. This past week has been a good one and I'm proud of our efforts (420 Clusters of Earth, 221 Clusters of Fire, 3 Clusters of Graphite). Super stoked to see the future!

Trying Something New

Well, this report was a little delayed because Val and I have been working on a Video Report. We have the tools, we have the graphics, all we need now is the ability to consume less alcohol while filming. It's a tough task. Unfortunately, our first effort turned out with video quality that is something akin to what it would look like if I videoed in from Afghanistan. We did get some great stills though:

It was a fun night working through the process and we appreciate Ronovi hopping on later that night and tolerating our jibberish. Also, a quick shoutout to the Clan Plagueis podcast that inspired our idea for creating a video report. We hope to have an actual video report out later this week and will knock out a ton of ASKTHEVIZCON questions that we took in a few weeks ago.

Finally, its been a great couple of weeks. The DB family has been super cool about Clan Vizsla and our old and new members are gelling well. It's great to see the old folks active and knocking out gaming and writing while also seeing our Neophytes crush Prometheus requirements (Ku'lok and Appius - killing it). I look forward to seeing everyone in action next month.
