Greetings and good day, Sadowans. I hope this report finds you well. It has been a short time since we last did one of these. Well, we are in exciting times. I am going to have a Black Guard very soon, for one. Another is that Clan Naga Sadow now officially has a Proconsul. Oh yeah, and fleets are getting an overhaul. Such hype, much excite. Yay.

Before that all can come together fictionally, we still have some business to finish.

For one, Naga Sadow is coming back home...

Something felt off about this situation. Bentre watched as the brown eyes of his Consul flitted back and forth over the holographic display which was again replaying the record of the battle. There was pain behind those eyes. Stahoes felt an urge to comfort his mentor and friend.

“We did everything that we could. You lead us well.”

The Entar looked up slowly, locking eyes with the Corellian Sith. “That is not in question. I just keep thinking about the forces we fought. We tore the enemy apart.”

“Sounds like victory to me.” Bentre shrugged his shoulders as he spoke the final word.

“It makes me uneasy.” There was a notable tremor in the man’s words. “What would have happened if we had not? What if we have to retreat in the next battle? We have no idea when the next encounter will occur.”

“So,” Bentre paused in thought, “we just reinforce the Orian system. Maybe we can call in some favors with some old allies or something?”

“Or something?” Sanguinius repeated the words back, his voice thick with emotion. “Our last engagement went well for us. It will need more than token assistance from other Clans. Naga Sadow will need to reinforce everything. It will be more involved than just contacting another Clan.”

“So, I will set up orders for repairs as soon as we make planetfall. As soon as we come out of hyperspace, I will-”

A shudder ran through the ship. The sounds and sensations were familiar, drawing the gaze of both men from their conversation to the display on the wall. Where the blue-white swirl of hyperspace had been, they could see the colors of space streaking back into the black and white of normal space.

Sanguinius felt his heart jump into his throat as his eyes focused on the now-clear vision of the familiar Orian system. Hanging around the globe of the Sadowan capital world, several Collective capital ships turned almost as one to regard the approaching Sadowan fleet.

“Kriffing hell.” Bentre’s words were hushed and low.

Clan News

In an effort to bring CNS up to date fictionally and to make it more clear to all of you what is going on, the House Summits and the Clan Summit are going to work toward putting out more regular fictional updates. Some of them will be large, some will be small, and some may be considered more 'flavor' than anything, but these pieces will help to chronicle our path as a Clan going forward.

Now, you might be wondering what this fictional update means. The TL;DR version is as follows:

• The Collective were waiting for CNS in our home system

• many ships were damaged, the Shattered Legacy going to pieces, with Koji Keibatsu still on board

• our Clan has retreated from the Orian system

• Kojiro is recovered from the wreck of the HMR flagship by Collective forces

• CNS IN SPACE!

• we will be receiving support from the DC in the form of a new fleet- sort of

To this end, both the Clan and House fleets will be experiencing an overhaul shortly. There is some paperwork to be done to make the new fleets a reality. It should not be long though! It has been a while in the making so I do not want to leave you waiting longer than necessary.

Appointment of the Blackguard For This Quarter

Calenhad and Syntari have been selected by the trial of fiction competition to serve as Blackguards. Syntari will be guarding me, and Calenhad will be guarding my PC#ON, to be announced very shortly below. I congratulate you both in your success, and hope to write some neat fiction with either or both of you in the future. I enjoyed my time as Blackguard and hope you will too!

The Selection of Proconsul

After much consideration of the applications and applicants themselves, Ashia Kagan Keibatsu has been chosen to serve as the new Proconsul. Ashia brings a lot of experience to the table and an attitude that gels very well with what I seek in a Pronconsul. Take a moment to congratulate her today.

In Closing

Well, I wish that I could tell you all the things that I have planned for the Clan. This new fictional direction will allow us to travel the galaxy in our new mobile homes on the CNS fleet. We now have a chance to brush shoulders with a wider swathe of the galaxy. While some might see our exodus from the Orian system as a shame, there is still a chance to strike back. In time, we may even be able to return to the Orian system with the tools and allies necessary to reclaim our home from the Collective occupiers.

In the mean time, we will have an opportunity to play out lots of adventures, excitement and drama in the wider galaxy beyond just the Orian and/or Arx system. Together, we can all make this bump in the Naga Sadow narrative memorable and awesome. We will honor our past, but it will not strictly define us. We look forward with the hope of a brighter future as a Clan.

As Houses, as Clans and as individuals we all have a part in that future.
