Happy May to all you wonderful folks of the even more spectacular Clan Naga Sadow. Now, normally this spot right here is where you would find our esteemed Consul’s report, but this time I have been placed into the hot seat to deliver the news that is new, not-so-new and relevant, as well as bringing to your attentions some of the awesome opportunities to be seized.

Now, I have to admit that I had imagined this first report with a bit more fan fare, but let’s all face it, that just isn’t quite my style. It matters not, for though real life has called away Jax Bendal, our beloved dude formerly known as Marcus Kiriyu, from our midst I was chosen to be Sang’s left hand man- or maybe I am his whipping boy. Jury is still out on that. In either case, I am here to help our Clan even more awesome- as hard as that may be to believe. Now, don’t think I am saying that I am the catalyst making this Clan awesome of course- that is you lot!

The last few weeks have seen the closing of New Ties, the start of the Pirates of Aeotheran in House Shar Dakhan, and even now the mammoth that is this summer’s Great Jedi War draws nearer. Plenty going on to get your teeth into and we hope to have even more for you very soon. So let’s see if we can kick off this report so that you all can get back to the various facets of awesome that makes CNS the best Clan in this Brotherhood.

####Oh, yeah, and ignore the fact that this report didn’t come on the first like Sang stated in April’s report. Nope, totally not late from when we expected. Not at all.

The Pirates of Aeotheran

“Sir, Jester One is overdue.” The Flight Controller said to his superior. “He doesn’t appear on our scopes and the last time we heard from him was just over two hours ago. He reported being six hundred miles away from the city doing a long range sweep of the western regions. He signaled his intent to return to base after completion of the patrol but that was the last transmission we received.” “Very well notify House leadership. We need to see what they want to do.” The Command Officer said.

While this event started as a House event for Shar Dakhan, it has been decided to open the event to the Clan as a whole. The first couple of events to end will be closing in a week, but there is still plenty of time to take part. For those who play Heroes of the Storm, the gaming sub-competitions provide extra points for HoTS play, so I highly suggest you jump on top of that. So whether you are a member of the House or not, you can help to drive the Flaming Gizkas from Dakhani territory. All for the glory of Sadow!

Noteworthy Accomplishments

I want to highlight a few members of note. Joining our ranks we have had Erik Cato, Osran Bidding, Tythesius Patheon, Tolendos Orventus and Plor-Chak. I have watched with interest as Erik has worked his way through the Shadow Academy and look forward to seeing what else is brought to the table.

Of course, another bit worth noting is the number of Seal of Loyalty winners in Clan Naga Sadow in commemoration of Star Wars Day. From Sang and myself, we awarded Firith'rar, Marka Ragnos’ Aedile Raikou Kebatsu and the BTL of Devil’s Shroud Lilith Alema'rha Versea-Stormwind seals for their continued service and the fun they bring to the Clan and Brotherhood. Very well done. Also recognized were our Consul, one of our Quaestors and our Proconsul: Sang, Muz and Bentre.

Speaking for myself, I hope to make this section a regular feature as a bit of a carry over from my time as Rollmaster as well as a great point to show our appreciation for the excellence of our members.

Upcoming Events

• Clan Naga Sadow will soon be running an ACC tournament. Sanguinius will be providing details soon!
• There is a Great Jedi War on the horizon, coming around in July of this year. Both Sang and I hope to see a great performance from Clan Naga Sadow. I really would love to see 100% participation from Clan Naga Sadow, or at least as close as we can get to it!
• Not exactly news, but we will see some great things from CNS. I have forseen it!

• with the difficulties we faced in New Ties, ranging from delays in fictions and results and gaming comps only a select handful of people could do what steps will you take going forward to ensure similar issues are not common place?*

Bentre answers your questions:

Okay, for Reikou’s question first. Planning out things, having outlines for potential storyline updates, having deadlines set in stone and a backup writer/plan if things do not go to plan are some simple things that can make all the difference. Gaming competitions are something we are likely to plan among popular platforms and I hope to have some competitions set up for platforms that afford our members the better opportunities to take part if they so choose. Do I have a fool-proof plan to help us prevent this? Well, no but Sang and I will work to minimize risk.

To address Evelynn’s question, my answer is probably simpler than many people would like it to be. Put yourself out there. Don’t go around breaking any forum or group rules, but talk to people. If you can place a banner in a forum, provide a link or create a banner. I know that I have given a wee card to some friends and acquaintances with a link, and have only gotten a small number of bites. I have seen Shimura more recently having some success with that method. Besides that, just get the word out to people you know will enjoy the sense of community that we have. People might come for shinies and glory, but they will stay for the people. My two credits anyhow.

So that wraps up this months’ Proconsul report for Clan Naga Sadow. The exact date for my next report is up in the air a bit, as Sang wanted me to take his usual spot on the schedule for my first and it obviously ended up later than either of us had wanted. I wholeheartedly await the awesomeness that will come out of this Clan and hope that we will see Clan Naga Sadow roll strong in and strong out of the upcoming Great Jedi War and everything before it.
