CNS Rollmaster report - April 2016 - Woopsie...
Greetings and salutations my fellow Sadowans,
I have kind of skipped a month, which was my bad, shouldn’t have happened. Unfortunately when one is planning a wedding, the senior guy at work leaves and you’re expected to take over, and your parents and grandparents get sick, time is in short supply. So I apologize for the fact that this report is so far overdue.
Moving on! What is new, what is new. Oh my, so much new, such wow, much text. So let's see, since my last report, Sang has become PCON! In case you missed this, which I sincerely doubt, be sure to congratulate him. He’s already been slaving away at various events and fictions which we’ve all enjoyed. I know this, because every time I ask him to do something for me he went “Nope, busy”.
Furthermore, the BT Shadow’s Bane in House Marka Ragnos is looking for a new BTL, so if you fancy trying your hand at leadership, this is the time. Send in your applications to Tasha, Ophie, Locke and Sang, and they’ll get back to you. Leadership is a radically different role and stance to be in than normal membership is. You go from being a content-consumer to a content-creator, you get introduced to reports written in markdown, and you hit the slight obstacle of having to motivate your members. It is this last bit that generally puts people off, but don’t fret. Even if you have a partially inactive team, as long as you don’t give up on them, you are succeeding. It is by far one of the largest challenges in leadership: Motivation. If you feel like taking on this challenge, apply now!
Finally we’ve seen many great Knightings these past two months. I couldn’t be prouder if you were my own kids. (See I can say that because I don’t have any kids yet :P ) Congratulations to all of you!
Special Announcement: JM Promotions - Masters Need To Read!
I ran a trial within CNS a while back for roughly 3 promotions, which went fairly well. There were a few hitches but these were mostly due to timezone issues. After having consulted with both Locke and Sang, we’ve decided to give this the go-ahead.
What does this mean? All journeymen promotion recommendations will be primarily written by the Rollmaster (me). The Master, and anyone else wishing to provide input, can then add supplemental recommendations.
Why do we do this? Pretty simple, it brings us more in line with what the other clans are doing with their promotions and it generally provides for a more meaningful application when the Master doesn’t have to focus on the technical details. Instead they can focus on the members themselves.
So once again, for all Masters: Coordinate with me when it is time to promote your students. If I’m doing my job right, the main rec will be up beforehand. If not, just email me your recommendation and I’ll throw it on there on your behalf.

Special Recognition
Every month I pick a Journeyman, or a Novitiate, and single them out because they’re exceptionally active, done something remarkable, or other interesting activities. These past two months there’s really only one Journeyman who can make the cut. Looking at the statistics, it’s pretty clear who this member is: Janos Breaker, congratulations mate. Your performance during Firestorm was stellar, and even though you’ve already been rewarded, I’d still like it to be mentioned here. Well done, and keep it up!

Tasha asks: What are some of the things you have enjoyed about your position?
Helping people, seeing them ascend. I can easily say that’s the biggest joy I get. Sadly for me, you’re all so frikkin’ competent that I’ve had very little questions. Seeing a member climb the ranks also makes me happy. Even though they all do it themselves, I take a small measure of pride at each one’s promotion.
Leeadra asks: Do you still love me?
Always and forever.
Tasha asks: Would you still keep your apprentice, around?
Hell no. Nothing but bad news that one. Keeps spilling the beans on my plans to everyone.
Leeadra asks: Who is your favorite Entar?
For this one time only, and only if he finishes his project, it will be Sang. Because he whispers sweet words in my ear every night.
Fritata asks: When making a peanut and jelly sandwich, grape or strawberry jelly or jam?
No peanut butter.
Leeadra asks: Creamy peanut butter or crunchy?
NO PEANUT BUTTER!

A combination of me making him do work, and him being Sang. Though I’m pretty sure “Sang” means “Grump”.
Leeadra asks: Do you enjoy musical theatre?
I honestly have no opinion on the subject. I prefer these kind of things from the comfort of my own couch. Noone shushing me when I crack a joke.
Ophie asks: Any new plans of ideas for the master student programs?
Not right now. I’ve been a bad boy and have a lot of work to catch up on. Maybe next month.
Sang asks: Why is Sarin a hater?
Doesn’t that come with the job of GM? But honestly, I like him. Bar the whole kill all the people thing.

Conclusion

Almost forgot. I’m looking to get some work done by the Herald. A new banner and such. However I completely suck bleep when it comes to visualizing and bringing my ideas forward. So here we go: I’m creating a competition in which the goal will be to provide me with sketches, ideas, etcetera, to create a some report deliciousness, and possibly even designs to be incorporated in a future lightsaber design. The best idea wins and gets incorporated. Everyone can join in, because I’m not looking for prettiness, that’s a thing I’ll leave to our amazing Herald and staff. I’m looking for stuff that’ll fit with Marcus. More details in an email yet to follow!
