Evening/morning/middle of the night, everyone!
I apologize for the tardiness of this report, as it seems I completely missed one last month, but I would like to think there is justification surrounding such a matter. Namely, that you guys pulled out all the stops during the Winds of Change event representing Phase 1 of the ACC events for the upcoming Great Jedi War.
Collectively, you took one look at our expectations and smashed them into itty bitty teeny tiny pieces. That's great! Especially since fostering use of the Antei Combat Center is one of my job requirements. Now, there isn't a lot for me to say in intro because I have literally lived and breathed gradings for this event. There were 96 judgements rendered by a team involving myself, Marick, and a hand from Mav and Farrin. This event would not have completed by now without their support.
A brief mini-stat before we hit the pretty ones:
Judge | Matches |
---|---|
Atra Ventus | 35 |
Marick Tyris | 30 |
Farrin Xies | 20 |
Telaris "Mav" Cantor | 9 |
That's a lot of judgements. I sincerely apologize if some matches may feel like the feedback was less than some have grown accustomed to while participating in the ACC. However, it was necessary just to try to keep pace with the wall that kept mounting. If any member wants more detailed feedback for a specific match feel free to follow up with us now that the event is over. We're good like that, but won't know you want that info unless you get in touch.
Now I'll stop with the boring and get to the fun stuff.
With the matches come and gone, I'd like to thank each and every one of you that participated. I hope there was fun to be had and maybe some connections formed that wouldn't have been there before. That's a neat thing that can happen when you are paired up with someone you normally wouldn't interact with.
Let's look at the top ten participants:
The race for the top three was an exciting one to watch. There was a good chance that newcomer Lucine Vasano would have taken the cake right from under everyone's noses, never having seen her coming. All-in-all, aside from the top placers, the score spread was rather evenly distributed over the members who participated.
Before we hop over to the infographic, we've prepared a survey to garner some feedback for this event and to provide us an avenue to move forward armed with more knowledge. If you want your voice to be heard, just use this form and fill it in. We're listening!
Now, the shiny and pretty thing that stat folks have a craving for!
There is no rest for the wicked, least of all myself. This many matches in a short window is a rare thing and we intend to take advantage of it. As a group, we noticed there were a myriad of Feats, Skills, and Force Powers that weren't operating as expected. That meant that there was either an issue on our end of things conveying intent, or just unexpected use.
What that means is, I get to run back to my staff and discuss this all with them and see how we can change it. Some things that may change include something as simple as the "Elder Storm" Feat or something as complex as Telepathy and its tier rankings. How far this will go, we cannot know... but we will do our best to have it running smoothly for the members.
I really hope there was fun had during this event, and some of the matches felt that way as a reader. That is always the end goal of this platform. It's a constant work in progress with small and big tweaks alike. It never remains static for long, so there's always something to learn no matter how comfortable you get with it.
Remember, any questions on ACC mechanics, the CSs, or features, email [Log in to view e-mail addresses]. We do check this email, and often. Best way to get a proper response with all the staff on the same page.
