I have no lip flapping to do other than to thank my staff for their efforts on doing passes for content, images, etc. on the Scenarios, as well as to outside sources such as Kordath for scenario spamming us and all those who submitted venues to the competition.
That said, no foolin' around here. The Scenario Hall is back open for business.
This is home to those that want to be told where to go and what to do! More or less, this option is populated with venues that include a prompt that the members must adhere to in their writing. It takes the burden off the member with the first post, so that they do not have to create the entire situation that their fight revolves around.
Here's the hall description for reference:
The Scenario Hall is the hall for members that want to be provided with a specific scenario related to their venue that both participants must adhere to. The terms of the encounter are dictated, as opposed to being established in the first post. Match types can range from 2vOther, 1v1, or even Objective based.
First off, do not use the Open Challenge if you're looking for the Scenario Hall. Open Challenge will always be pointed at the standard Duelist Hall. If a scenario is what you're looking for, the steps are rather simple.
Go to the ACC interface and select "Challenge". From there, it's as simple as selecting the Scenario Hall from the list and a venue (or random).
That's all there is to it! It's the normal process, just a different hall.
For launch we have a decent haul of about 17 scenario venues that will expand as we gauge interest and come up with ideas. These range in complexity from a prompt added to an existing venue to brand new locations introduced specifically for a prompt. The initial pool can be seen here:
There is only one caveat to these: not all of them are available as "random" selection. Specifically, Wild Space: Downfall of the Suffering has been removed from the rotation but is still available to be manually selected. The reasoning for this is that this scenario pertains to a very specific and major event that has already occurred in the past. Because it is less open-ended, it is something that can be specifically selected by members that want to create their own slice of canon during that event or just want to use it as a sandbox to play around in.
As I mentioned above, we'll need to see how the interest is for this and measure the reaction. While we have no issues putting forth scheduled updates for new venues, this isn't resources we want to spend unless they are being utilized by the membership.
The moral here is: you want new scenarios? Use the hall!
I hope you all have fun with it, cause it was fun to set up.

Excellent work, Combat Master. This looks like a lot of fun and I'm excited to try it out!
Yes yes yes yes yes yes yessss
Thanks to everyone who contributed scenarios! You can read the scenarios themselves in the Venue Database (the venues marked [Scenario]).
Awesome work. Also nice to see that my scenario hall made it, even though it didn't place in the comp :)
Woop-woop!
Go out there and kick names and take asses! Or whichever way you prefer!
So excited to fight at Vader's Legacy!
