(Sorry, TuQ. I still still haven't gotten around to getting custom graphics yet. 😱)
Hello there, everyone! I hope you are all well and that the Christmas season is treating you all well. I have some new venues to show you from our recent winners of my Venue Creation Competition, all of which are now up on the site!
Without any further ado, let's get right into it!
Made by the wonderful Vincent Brujah of Clan Scholae Palatinae who came 3rd with a new Scenario Venue based on an episode from the Mandalorian!
Located within the Arkanis Sector of the Outer Rim Territories, Maldo Kreis is a frozen wasteland of a planet. The outer areas of the planet are covered in deep sheets of ice with giant cracks that formed canyons. Within these canyons were ice caves formed of jagged frozen rock and sheets of ice.
The caves contained tunnel systems that could be traversed, if careful. Deep inside of these tunnels hot springs could be found, and due to the rigid temperatures, one could hardly be blamed for seeking one out for comfort. Careful though, these hot springs served as breeding ground for knobby white ice spiders.
These spiders ranged in size from handheld to as large as a starship. They are extremely territorial and fiercely protective of their eggs. These creatures are just as much of a threat as the temperatures within the cave systems, which is a major problem since you have unfortunately crash landed in this isolated, inhospitable landscape. The spiders are alerted to your presence, and they are hungry, the cold surrounding them bitter and unforgiving. Shuffling can be heard among the many caverns, the sound of an impending stampede.
Will you attempt to fix your ship, or seek refuge in one of the hot springs? Will you survive, or succumb to the ravenous arachnid horde?
Made by the amazing Veil Arcana of Clan Naga Sadow, he created a new club venue on Corellia and came 2nd!
The air is crisp on this cool Corellian night outside Club Fallen. A wave of sound washes over everything, pounding into the heads of everyone even from outside the venue. Members of a dozen different species loiter around outside enjoying themselves as they wait—many in vain—to gain entry into the club. From high above, floodlights aim down illuminating the darkness in large patches, though there are still plenty of shadows where people hide more... illicit types of fun. Bouncers stand on either side of the main entrance and security walks around at scheduled intervals. Behind the club, there's a back entrance used for loading and offloading equipment.
The first floor is dominated by a large, rectangular dance hall. The sound inside is overwhelming, as are the myriad lights of vibrant hues that flash quickly and sporadically with the beat. An undulating mass of lifeforms crash and gyrate against one another, screaming on the floor in some semblance of the word "dance". On either side of the mashing bodies are raised platforms, with a slightly calmer atmosphere. The people there are a little more subdued, but not by much. At the far end of the hall is a massive, raised stage with room for a full band, though currently occupied by a lone DJ and his gear. More bouncers line the hall—hired local muscle—ready to deal with any troublemakers.
Stairs in the back lead to the second floor. Above the dancing masses are a series of crisscrossing walkways stretching from one end of the venue to the other: maintenance access for the various lights and speakers that dangle haphazardly above the crowd. Directly above the stage is a mezzanine with a large, soundproof booth, inside of which is the beating heart of the club. All the electronics flow through this booth, controlling every aspect of the sound, lights, and security equipment...
Between the crush of bodies and all the noise, you may find yourself almost overwhelmed. All you know is that your enemy is here, somewhere, in Fallen mixed into the crowd. Are they alone? Are they lying in wait? It's unclear. What is, though, is that the club is full of sentients. Potential enemies? Possibly. Potential witnesses? Definitely. What are you prepared to do to eliminate your target? Can you slay them without raising the alarm? Or will you instigate a massacre to ensure no one is left standing?
The decision is yours... if your enemy doesn't make that choice for you.
Made by the enigmatic Jorm Na’trej of Clan Taldryan, he created a venue on Cato Neimoidia and came 1st!
Utterly unsuited for those suffering from incurable vertigo or debilitating envy, the richly decorated mansion spans between two rock needles low enough to almost swim in Cato Neimoidia's ground-hugging clouds in viewing distance of Tarko-se. Long and slim, the open top held in burgundy and plated with electrum is dotted with gazebos, treasuries, a menagerie, and garages for pleasure craft centered around the main residence.
Protected from winds and weather by a subtle atmospheric shield, the underside is mirrored to camouflage itself in the colors of the clouds. Antennas, vanes and ducts could provide audacious climbers with handholds and platforms should they desire to challenge their luck and Lady Gravity, while the clouds reaching upwards could provide concealment for those who bring their own means of flight. Access to the Bridge Mansion can only be obtained either by flying transportation, or by climbing through the mysterious mountain ranges of Cato Neimoidia's cloud-covered surface. Whoever makes their way here however will enjoy the luxury of total isolation to go about their business.
The mansion lies deserted except for droids keeping the grounds and tending the animals while the owner is distracted on business, but a bit of breaking and entering has never bothered an upstanding crook, did it?
Congratulations to our tip three and thank you to everyone who took part. I am always willing to hear new ideas for venues, so feel free to DM me on Discord if you have any or shoot me an email.
Also a reminder that my Let's Get Down To Business is running until the end of the month! Don't miss out on your chance to earn First Level Crescents!
That's all from me for now.
Until next time;
Combat Master Anderson.
