Consul of Clan Taldryan Report 8: October is a time of WAR!

Hey guys, It's October of 2017, which means I have officially been Consul of Taldryan for 1 year...man the time has flown. In this time I have learned so much, and I am happy to have had this opportunity. A big thanks to all of you who have stuck with me and our Clan through some rocky months. I appreciate all of you. That being said...

Winter is comin….oh wait...wrong fan base.

War is upon us Taldryan. Friday October 13th, it begins! The summit has been extremely busy getting things ready on our end, and hopefully, setting things up for our Clan’s success. You guys have been a big help to that end, and I am personally very happy with the support you all have been showing us.

I’ll post this poll for a final time here, in case any last minute folks want to jump on the train. We have put together rosters for the team events, trying to build strong and effective teams of members who can help each other succeed. I will be sending out an email TOMORROW showcasing who we’ve placed in what team, so be prepared.

CLAN FICTION

Covenant Spire, Kasiya-Prime, Kasiya, Caelus System 35 ABY

The Covenant Spire loomed imposingly over the other buildings of Kasiya-Prime, the highest points of the spiked building nearly touching the dome that kept the frigid atmosphere at bay. The immense height of the Spire marked it as the home and seat of power for the Ky'Lian family.

Astor Ky'Lian, the ruler of Kasiya and the head of the Hollow Void Syndicate, was man who was not known to tolerate failure or mistakes. So on this day, the court wisely kept silent as he sat stiffly upon his throne with a dark expression upon his face.

“Pilot JT-4207 please step forward.”

A man stepped in front of a gathered assembly wearing a green and silver flight suit with a hardened plastic helmet. As he removed his helmet a look of uncertainty was sprawled across his face. He got down on his knee and bowed before his superior.

“Pilot, it is my understanding that near our facility in the atmosphere of Perune, you and pilot FR-1123 came across an outsider’s ship entering our domain. Is that correct?”

“Yes sir,” he answered quickly, hoping to spare himself Astor’s wrath as much as possible.

“And after discovering this intruder, the two of you, attacked this ship without provocation.”

Astor’s expression was dark as he observed the pilot in front of him. The assembly that had gathered were silent. They knew better than to interrupt their leader, especially when he placed his men on trial.

“Yes, my lord, that is correct.”

“And furthermore, after your foolish decision to attack these outsiders, you let them escape with their lives.”

The pilot stared at Astor, his mouth agape and eyes wide.

Finally I want to say to everyone, in regards to this war, I don’t much care where we place. A high placing would be amazing and I would be ecstatic, but really I only care to know and see that we are all contributing to the Clan, and having fun while doing it. We are a Clan, and to me that means we don’t let each other go at it alone.

Based on the response i've been getting from most of you, I know that we will do great in this War. I have full confidence that we will show up and represent Taldryan to the best of our abilities, and show the rest of the DJB that we can go the distance. I have faith in all of you, and you can put your faith in me to lead from the front as an example of what Taldryan can do.

I’ve recieved several interesting questions, and I feel it’s time to actually answer them, so here we go.

ATTY ASKS: would Rhylance like to try allying with Arcona's new Consul? Satsi is interested in other NFUs and will only try to murder him if he screws with her or hers

(which...includes Lucine so yeah he might want to make sure that doesn't get out)

• Rhylance will always approve of new allies if he feels they are useful to him, so yes Satsi would be a prime candidate. It helps that she is as crazy, if not crazier than he is :P. As for Lucine, well, we’re the best of friends now!

TALI ASKS SEVERAL QUESTIONS: Are you looking forward more to the possibility of field testing new inventions during the war or the influx of cadavers and POWs to experiment on in the aftermath?

• Oh, I have ideas, hehehe. If they are ok’d by the Regent Staff, I’m gonna have lots of fun.

What has been your biggest regret to date? How did you handle it?

• If you mean in the DJB, it would probably be the way I handled some of the early issues in my Clan when I became Consul. I should have been more direct with some of my members and made sure that their feelings were fully known, instead of assumed that “Silence meant Consent”

What subject did you flunk in space college and how did young Rhylance take it?

• As an intellectual, Rhylance probably didn’t fail his knowledge based courses. Some of his more physical courses maybe. He’s not very strong, so he’s had to work towards him physical conditioning.

What redeeming quality does Rhylance have that could make him approachable?

• Let’s face it, to most he probably doesn’t have many. To the ones who have snuck their way past his walls, the redeeming traits will begin to emerge.

Which would be easier to clone/splice? A bantha-sized mynoc or twelve mynoc sized banthas?

• As there is more tissue and DNA to work with, the bantha-sized mynoc would be the prime target.

LUCINE ALSO ASKS SEVERAL QUESTIONS: Have you considered expanding your wardrobe? Really, darling, I am beginning to think you wear that uniform every day!

• Hey, being a Consul comes with some perks. One of them being I have many copies of this outfit, and a really good dry-cleaner. I kind of need it when you keep spilling drinks on me.

So, when I am tearing a person's mind apart from the inside, they sometimes start to convulse and foam at the mouth. It is rather messy. What do you recommend to prevent this?

• Hmm...well you could try not doing it. But, as I don’t see that from happening, put them to sleep first, then they can’t fight against it which will keep the damage to a minimum.

Also, completely unrelated to my previous question, what is the most effective method of body disposal?

• Feed them to the dogs? That’s what Ramsay Bolton would do.

LEEADRA ASKS: How many licks does it take to get to the Tootsie Roll center of a Tootsie Pop?

• It took years of scientific research and countless studies, but I finally have the answer! It takes exactly %$#^&$%#%&% licks to get to the Tootsie Roll center of a Tootsie Pop!.*
