Consul of Clan Taldryan Report 3

Hello Taldryan,

OK guys, it’s time for my third report. I’d like to start by thanking Rian and Thorn once again for joining the Summit as the new Quaestor and Aedile of House Ektrosis. I know they have some big plans for Ekky moving forward. I can’t wait to get things going with the two of you.

Now, onto some important stuff I want to talk about. We are nearing the end of Breaking Point, by end I mean that tomorrow is the last day for submitting, and overall participation has gone down. There is currently only 1 submission for both the Fiction and the Battle Plan events, so get those in you guys! I really want to end this Clan Event on a strong note.

The next thing I want to discuss, I had a goal when I stepped in as Consul. I wanted to make the Clan more member driven. This means that I want the membership to feel more ownership over what is happening with the Fiction, and direction of the Clan. To this end I want to raise three topics up to all of you.

• #1: Taldryan’s new home.

We just lost our Homeworld, and all our other planetary holdings. So, where should we go from here. There are many directions that we could choose to look into. I want to hear all of your opinions on this. So, I ask that you shoot me a message on Telegram, over email, anyway to get in touch with me. Now, the summit has already come up with a couple options, and I have set up a poll for all of you to add in your two cents. the link to the poll can be found in the GDOC email!

• #2: Taldryan’s Fleet!

Alaris and I have spent quite a bit of time trying to build a fleet for our Clan that made sense fictionally for where we are at. I want to hear all of your thoughts on the matter, so here is a LINK for the view-able only copy of our fleet spreadsheet. I understand that some may have reservations with the fleet decision. If you have legitimate concerns feel free to approach me about this, but know that I am not planning on changing this fleet. If your concerns prove to be warranted and valid, I’ll make the decision on changing.

We have put a lot of thought into this, and we don’t want this to just be an unimportant aspect of Taldryan, so this Fleet will be involved with future TAL fiction.

Now it would make no sense for a Clan who just got as pulverized as ours to instantly have a brand shiny new fleet, so we will buy the ships in installments/pieces, which will interact with Clan Fiction, and I invite you to submit ideas/fictions that you may choose to create that would explain how we got the money for the ships, or even the ships themselves. These ideas could become canon Clan fiction!

• #3: Clan Fiction.

As stated above, I want the members to feel like they have some level of ownership to the clan they are in. This is why fictions written for the Breaking Point event will be integrated into the Full Fiction Update that will be released following the conclusion of the Clan Event. Those who submitted will find that their fictions, while adapted to fit the story, will be made canon for our clan!.

I want all of you to know that you have a voice. If you have ideas for this clan, speak up, let them be heard, or even write them yourself. Taldryan’s fictional identity has the potential to grow and develop into interesting and great ways. I want you all to be a part of that.
