Introduction

Starting off, though I said as much in our Discord, thank you to Socorra for your efforts as Consul and for putting up with my constant pushing and prodding from behind the scenes. We have built a solid Summit from which we will continue to see the Clan grow and develop. Secondly, I wanted to thank Bubba and Atra for their choice to elect me for my first term as Consul.

That being said, I hope to hit the ground running. We've been talking behind the scenes for some time on a few fictional updates (with Sarin keeping me in check along the way). Korvis, Kanal, and Hector have begun work on developing an old enemy of Vizsla to make a return in the near future, while Esca, Warp, and I have worked on expanding our interests out into the Unknown Regions/Wild Space.

What does this mean for the Clan?:

For those who are interested in the Zsoldos region and our home planets, we will continue to make use of those environments for fictions, roleplay sessions, etc. For those more interested in the expanded universe, we’re going to be running new events surrounding Vizsla taking on a contractual role by the Dark Council to be their eyes and ears in the southern range of the Unknown Regions.

Using the reference below (thank you, Thrane), we are set up perfectly to move “west” of our current location and use that as an opportunity to provide some unique and hopefully interesting locations for future events and even potential opportunities for future conflicts or alliances with CSP, who has expanded into the UR in the northern regions.

Plans for the next 90 days:

• A fiction release, setting the basis for where the Clan stands currently and what is on the horizon. I would love to see more people submitting to the fiction competitions being posted or participating in RP sessions to showcase more of your characters and how we can feature them in future updates.
• Esca has begun work on several graphics updates that we look forward to releasing to the Clan when they are ready. I look forward to the work he and Sarin have begun putting ideas into.
• Are any of you interested in Community Event nights in the Vizcord channels? Clan Trivia, Gaming Nights, Hangouts, etc., all come to mind.
• We are going to continue our clean-up and creation of new possessions, and there is a strong interest in finding something in the possessions store for us to work towards acquiring.
• We have already reviewed multiple pages on the Wikipedia, but we will be continuing efforts in that arena as well.

Hiring for Proconsul:

As seen within the Proconsul Guide, the following responsibilities fall within the role of Proconsul. I am seeking a Proconsul who desires to be in the role with the intention of one day being my successor—someone who can and will assist me with the day-to-day operations of the Clan and bring their ideas to the table on how we can continue our current momentum and success.

• To assist the Consul with anything he/she requires
• To monitor the activity of Magistrates to make sure the Clan runs smoothly
• To assist in expanding the fictional role of the Clan within the Brotherhood
• To make note of leaders and members within the clan worthy of promotions or medals
• To promote activity within the Clan, Houses and Brotherhood as a whole
• To uphold any values or beliefs your clan stands for
• To assist in the creation of competitions, vendettas and feuds between your Clan and others
• To assist new members in becoming oriented with the Brotherhood and Clan, to further the development of new members through instruction and guidance, to provide a timely answer to any questions a new member may hold
• To keep track of what you have learned during your tenure to pass onto your successor and help train them for the job

In Closing:

Every time I pull our statistics for reports, quarterly check-ins with the DC, or for my own amusement, it amazes me how much we manage to accomplish month by month for a relatively “small” unit. I am also proud to have the chance to serve as the Clan's Consul, which I believe is an important opportunity and one I intend to make the most of.
