“This is the Elayan News Bulletin. I’m your host Luke and my lovely co-host, as always, is Cathy.”

“Good evening, Luke.”

“Good evening, Cathy,” Luke responded, with a false beaming smile from years of reporting the news. “We open this evening with a special report from our on-the-scene reporter, Casmeria. We now go live with her on the scene of the special event at Adoniram Tower, Casmeria.”

The holofeed shifted to an exterior shot of Adoniram Tower. A massive red carpet had been laid out into the main entrance with heavy security funneling individuals from Scholae Palatinae and Taldryan.

“Good evening, Luke,” Casmeria said, beaming the same false smile. The Seraph native was dressed to impress in a dazzling ballgown of crystals over a cream floor length dress. “It’s a night to remember here in Caelestis City. Emperor Lap’lamiz is clearly making a statement with the opulence of this evening. Members of Clan Taldryan have been arriving all night and the atmosphere is one of massive celebration. We spoke earlier with the Emperor himself as he arrived,” she said, motioning for the clip to be played.

The screen flickered to an earlier recorded clip. Casmeria was shorter than Kamjin and she held up the recorder to him as he spoke. “...naturally we are eager to extend a hand of friendship to our brethren in Taldryan. It’s my desire that as Scholae Palatinae continues to build and invest here on Ragnath that we bring in like minded investors. Tonight is the first of many opportunities for us to show off the wonders of our systems.”

The screen flicked back to the live feed. “As you can see Luke, this looks to be the first of many such grand events to be hosted by Scholae Palatinae. Back to you and Cathy,” Casmeria said, beaming.

As the holofeed centered on Luke and Cathy, the next story popped up behind them. “Thank you, Casmeria. You’re looking amazing in that dress. Maybe next time I’ll go to the red carpet event and you can co-host with Luke,” Cathy said, flashing a smile and head nod towards Luke.

“Don’t leave me out of the fun,” Luke replied, catching her smile before turning to look directly out of the feed. “In other news, civil unrest continues throughout the system. Calls for President Jayden Winter’s resignation continue after an anonymous source leaked documents indicating Winters was involved in an illegal speculation racket and used state funds to finance his bad investment.”

“Only a matter of time before someone arrests him,” Cathy said, as the feed cut to her. “Soliders have been seen on the streets clearing protesters from in front of the capital on Seraph…”

“Sorry, Cathy, we interrupt this report to take you back live to Adoniram Tower where Casmeria reports there’s been some sort of explosion from within the building,” Luke said, as the feed went back to Casmeria.

She was holding her earpiece in with one hand to hear. “It’s just as you said Luke, there’s been some sort of explosion and we’re getting reports now that there may have been some sort of situation with one of the guests,” Casmeria said as medics rushed past her into the building. “Let me see if I can get a comment,” she said, racing after one of the medics.

“Sir, is there anything you can share about what’s going on inside?”

“Ma’am, all we know is that everyone has been knocked out,” the medic said, as a security guard came up and grabbed Casmeria.

“You need to leave now. This site is no longer secure and we need to clear everyone back for their safety,” the office said, reaching down to his belt and activating a device there, the holofeed went dark.

This month we saw two of our finest recognized, off-cycle, with promotions. While Scholae Palatinae has established a regular, quarterly, review of activity for awardment; I will always seek to reward people off-cycle when earned. The following two individuals definitely warranted such immediate action.

Thran Occasus-Palpatine has joined the ranks of the Elders. You can read the longer recommendation here. I will say a few things publicly in this forum as well.

Joining the ranks of the Elders is no small feat and does require a considerable investment by our members. While Thran has been an active gamer and a cult of personality within the clan; he’s been busy at work behind the scenes. Whether being an instrumental member of the Regent’s staff working on the possession system to the man with a knife in my back on various projects around the clan.

I honestly couldn’t imagine our clan without Thran’s personality.

Raleien Sonavarret has been elevated to Commander (EQ2). You can read the longer recommendation here.

Raleien been an amazing Proconsul and I enjoy working with him immensely. We compliment each other well between more of my visioning and planning and his ability to tactically execute activities.

He is constantly in communication with our Quaestors and could run a three-ring circus with his ability to advertise competitions. Most recently, he’s been the driving force between our Great Ewok Hunt competition. Taking what started as a silly banter between Zappy and myself and turning it into the competition you’re all participating in today.

I’m certain that he’ll continue do amazing things for our clan in the coming months!

It’s been a quieter month from the Dark Council but still some valuable releases. To help you digest it I’ve outlined the significant items below, my summary of the report, and addressed questions where applicable from within and without the clan.

Regent Report #11: A Suit Of Armor Around The World

I am never going to tire of the Regent updates. This time it’s armor upgrades!

I won’t exhaust this section repeating the report but I love the attention to the Brotherhood Robes that are issued as you rank up. This really makes them more customizable to how each member may seek to utilize them.

What you should review in terms of impact for ACC matches and other, more strictly graded fictions, is the change to attires (e.g., clothing). These items no longer have armor resistance modifications available to them.

Seneschal Report - Removal of Paths

While a fairly simple report, in terms of the removal of Paths from the site. While, normally, such a straight forward report wouldn’t require commentary there are a few actions that needed as a result of the change.

Due to this change all Character Sheets are now invalid, pending a refresh. It’s simple, and automatic, to have your sheet valid again.

• Navigate to your Character Sheet (or Alternate Character Sheets)
  
• Click ‘Create a copy’
  
• Click ‘Edit’
  
• Click ‘Save and close’
  
• Click ‘Activate’
  

I recommend everyone reactivate your sheets so you’re not impacted when you go to select a loadout for future competitions.

While not listed in his report, James also implemented several site updates.

• Activity Assessment now includes how many credits you have earned.
  
• There are new filters for the Competition section which allows you to filter out competitions you’ve already submitted for and subscribed but not submitted for.
  

These are really great, low hanging fruit updates that make a significant impact on our ease of use with the site.

If CSP were a band, who would play each instrument? - Thran

A silly but hard to answer question. What type of band are we? I’d like to say that we’re all brass in an orchestra but I think you’re really seeking to know who’s headbanging with a guitar.

Hint, it’s not me. I couldn’t learn how to play the bass despite my best efforts to self-teach myself. So, in order to distract you…here’s a picture of Star Wars characters rocking out.

What you may find interesting, or not interesting, is that Raleien has a lot to say. I’ll prime the report and provide the link for you to read it in full.

Welcome to the first edition of Proconsul's Pretentious Ponderings, otherwise known as Blueberry's Bogus Banter or Thoughts from the PCON. Unless otherwise dictated by the boss himself, this space will likely cover three things - sometimes all at once, and sometimes by themselves. First, I may retread some of Kamjin's ground recognising activity and achievements. In my opinion, when folks are putting in time to have fun and be active in our community, the more folks who can be encouraging and supportive, the stronger our community will remain. Second, I may from time to time contribute some additional discussion around Clan projects, events, and other goodies. And third, this contribution may be oriented to real rambles or reflections about something that really excites me which is happening in the club (i.e.: a good example may be some reflections on the awesome award system, Possessions, etc.).

For this first report, you get a short ramble. Specifically, I want to reflect on my time with this amazing Clan thus far, and on the individuals - all of you - who make it such a fun place to be day after day. I would argue this is because you folks rock at community building by utilizing what I am going to call an "It's all in good fun" approach.

What do I mean by the "It's all in good fun" approach? I would define this as the ability to focus on the end goal of activity in this Clan and club we all enjoy: to have fun, hang out, and nerd out about all things Star Wars in our small neck of the internet…

As you can tell from the update above, while we’re continuing our dreamscape battle with Tally (which will have some lasting impact on our relationship when we all wake up) things are still brewing on the home front.

I’ve set a goal to have Dark Times Saga ready in May for us and I’ve asked Thran to be my account-abil-a-buddy (yes, I made it weird just for Thran).

Utilizing what Dek has prepared I’ve begun expanding upon the fictions to highlight some of our key members and will begin outlining the actual competitions themselves soon. This may be a mistake, me taking on more of it myself, but I want to give all the Scholae Palatinae members, including the Summit, an opportunity to participate in what will have some very serious implications to the Caperion System.
