“Are you sure this is wise, my lord,” Raleien asked Kamjin as they strolled through Adoniram Tower. He kept a respectful half-step behind the relatively new Emperor.

“With all the reports coming out of the Dark Council regarding the Children of Mortis and their crazed zealots of crystal wielding beats; this is not the time to be isolationists. The other clans may have valuable information we need. And, I might add, having more allies wouldn’t hurt either,” Kamjin replied as he continued his brisk pace through the corridor.

“I understand and, as always, your logic is sound. But,” Raleien hesitated a moment, choosing his words carefully. “Are you certain that Taldryan is the right clan to reach out to first? You know their Summit is...well, unique.”

Kamjin suppressed a chuckle. “Yes, I know all about Appius and his decision to elevate that...creature, to be his Proconsul. Are you feeling nervous that I could have used any of our numerous Ewok vassals in your place?” Kamjin teased the Pantoran Viceroy.

“Not at all,” Raleien said, though he knew his position of authority within a predominantly Sith clan was tenuous at best. As they approached the massive banquet doors, Kamjin came to a halt before his Praetorian guards, led by his Daughter in her polished custom armor. “Last chance to avoid this whole scene,” Raleien muttered to his lord.

Summary:

Kamjin and Raleien invite the Taldryanites to Adoniram Tower to share information on their artifacts and the Children of Mortis.
Teebu is accidentally served Ewok and flies into a rage.
The Rajik Opal and Blood Bond Cauldron collide, sending the members of both clans into a shared dream state.

Commentary:

It’s been teased for a while and it’s finally here, the Great Ewok Hunt. Through a misunderstanding, though I can’t imagine why, Teebu has thrust both us and Taldryan into a perilous situation where we’re sharing a linked dream state.

In order words…this is a What If…? adventure where we both clans battle for the fate of the Ewoks. We hope that you all find this as a fun, lighthearted, event with a premise that allows for some truly outrageous situations to occur with no fear of lasting damage to either clan - FOR NOW.

Appius and I both are interested in continuing the fictional development of our clans and see this as a lead-in event for a future Clan Feud level competition between our two clans. We’ve been in discussion with the Dark Council and have a clear understanding of the requirements that we’ll need to bring to the table in the later part of the year to host this event.

I’d like to take a moment and recognize Major Raleien Sonavarret, in addition to Seer Appius "The Mandaboo" Wight and Lieutenant Colonel Teebu Nyrrire for all their hard work in designing, planning, prepping, and soon to execute this competition.

Aligning on a shared plot and activities is challenging for any competition organizer and, made more so, when coordinating and aligning between two clans. These two gentlemen, and Ewok, were constantly open to new ideas and never once said “no” but rather “how can we?”

This is the type of collaboration we should all strive for.

There’s been a significant amount of activity in the last month from the Dark Council. To help you digest it I’ve outlined the significant items below, my summary of the report, and addressed questions where applicable from within and without the clan.

Voice Report - Shadows Unveiled Chapter 1

Idris Adenn continues to tease us with more information about the Children of Mortis. A huge thank you to all the members, across all the clans, who participated in the competition and unlocked this new treasure trove of information for us.

Unfortunately, at least for now (I’m sure there’s another reveal coming) it appears that I was wrong and there is not a Mother overseeing things. That being said, stay tuned for more information to come.

Regent Report #10

Zxyl Bes’uliik Taldrya (aka Anubis) has continued to work his staff to the bone and we recently saw the release of planetary assets. This has unlocked a new store Antares Construction Group for clans to purchase from.

Thran and I have been in discussion regarding how Scholae Palatinae will leverage the funds available to us and these new possessions.

Our approach will be one of infrastructure versus just bulk buying shield generators and planetary ion cannons (though we will be buying some). The rationale for this is the Empire brought stability to the galaxy through a unified fabrication and market system.

Before the Empire you had The Trade Federation, The Corporate Alliance, The InterGalactic Banking Clan, The Commerce Guild, the Techno Union, etc. to contend with. They controlled the research, design, manufacture, finance, and trade of all goods. This was a horribly corrupt, bloated, and ineffective system.

We are in a similar situation within the Caperion System of multiple factions still vying for power and we can win via winning the hearts (and stomachs) of the people….then we do our Sithy stuff. Whether you need food, medicine, your ship repaired, a new doo-dad, or whatsit; you’re going to come to Scholae Palatinae to get it.

From there we’ll fund our military complex as “protection” for our corporate infrastructure.

Justicar Supplemental Report

One of the great things I’ve found about the Brotherhood upon my return is the use of term limits. It ensures new ideas are given an opportunity to be explored while preventing stagnation. As such, the 2022 terms of the Chamber of Justice have begun.

I was honored to have been selected to serve the Chamber last year as the LHoJ and I look forward to the opportunity to serve as RHoJ. For me, in either position, it is critical that we remain focused on the member and member experience.

I have a few ideas that are better suited for the RHoJ that I’ll discuss in coming weeks with Atra for us to continue along this approach.

If Kamjin were an Olympian, what sport would he compete in? - Archangel

OOC and IC, it would definitely be the bobsled run. I’ve always loved that sport since I was a kid. Kamjin being an excellent pilot would appreciate the skill needed to navigate through the course at high speeds.

Yes, and I will compliment Archangel for acting upon that vision with or without necessarily knowing about it. I want the Houses to function with their own objectives that help play into the larger clan fiction.

Therefore, Archangel’s recent competition setting the stage for the invasion of Mygeeto, allows Caliburnus to have it’s own house story arc that ultimately plays into the future of the clan becoming more of a presence in the sector of space we’re not situated.

I’m looking forward to a fun competition with Tally. I hope you all fully immerse yourself in the “What If” spirit of it and go big. Afterall, it’s a giant dreamscape. Now, the outcome of this will still have implications to our relationship with Tally and, specifically, poor Teebu.

For those wondering, the Dark Times Saga is still coming. I must publicly apologize to Dek as I had long stretches where I wasn’t able to fully engage and respond and then gave feedback that I assume frustrated him. I would be frustrated if my partners behaved as I have and I am sorry. Between work, home, and other commitments I have neglected this.

Dek has prepared a treasure trove of information and while he’s, hopefully, gone rogue only temporarily I look forward to continuing this project to conclusion and engaging with him for feedback as he is willing and able to provide.
