Intro

Hello CSP! I hope you all had a great holiday season. As we’re wrapping up this very long year, I figured I’d write up a report for you guys. With the busy holidays and real life hectic for most of us, I wanted to fill you in on the happenings of the Clan.

This is my second report as Consul and I’m still working out the format so bear with me. I’m including some things my predecessors did and some things I’ll be leaving out. For this report, look for the Pulse Feed for fictional updates which should be coming in the new year.

System Highlight SARLaC

As the heirs of the Empire, we get access to some of the coolest superweapons toys. One such toy in our arsenal is the SARLaC. Resting in orbit over Seraph, this station provides the ultimate defense for our homeworld. Here are some details about the Clan’s mightiest structure.

The Imperial Strategic Armed Laser Array Citadel (or SARLaC) is a 3,000-meter diameter space station designed with superior defensive capabilities, making use of purified ascendant crystal based technology for its primary armament.

Basically, the SARLaC is a gigantic laser powered Ninja blender but instead of turning berries into a smoothie, it turns enemy ships into scrap metal which we then reuse. We’re all about recycling.

It was our reward we chose from the GJW XV event. The SARLaC was dreamed up by Kam and Thran and they made it a reality.

As this station is a key strategic asset for CSP, feel free to use it in your own fictions. I just wanted to highlight this unique possession we have.

Seasons

In Atra’s latest report about Seasons, he included some important updates about the direction of the club. I’m going to do my best to recap what was said in layman’s terms.

• Seasons is a year-long fiction focused competitions series comprised of several Cycles.

• Each Cycle is 2 months long followed by 1 month rest time.

• Seasons is NOT a replacement for Vendettas. These competitions will be happening in the background, meaning we can continue to run our own competitions.

• Seasons IS a way to get members more involved in the bigger DB story and also for fun.

• Seasons has unique rewards that are earned at certain participation thresholds; credits/possessions/honorifics/etc..

• Seasons allows Clan stories to integrate with DB stories.

Caliburnus

Recently, we recovered the legendary blade for the Clan. It’s one of our artifacts special to CSP. I just wanted to make sure you all knew that this infamous blade had returned home. House Caliburnus is named for the ancient and mythical blade. The powerful and strange weapon that inspired fear and awe in those who spoke of it. That same theme fitted a team well who was known for acts that could be considered both lethal and incredible. We may be doing something more with this in the future, but for now just that little notification for you all.

Future Plans for CSP

Chapter 3. Still on track. Look for this early in the new year. It will be a similar format as before. We’ll continue to explore our relationship with our Chiss neighbors. Come see what happens!

Seasons. It’s looking to go live in February so be on the lookout around then.

Wiki updates. Our wiki is out of date and needs updating pronto. I want to fix that. I’m going to talk with my Summit about where to start and we can use all the help we can get. If you’re interested in helping out, reach out to me or any of the Summit. This is a great opportunity to get some sweet non site XP. Projects like these are the best way to help supplement everyday XP grind and it’s an extension of leadership since we have limited roles in CSP at present.

J’kast asks the following questions.

1) What are your goals, hopes, and dreams for CSP in 2025?

For starters, I’d like to see the Clan grow in its membership. People come and go as the real life claims them and I’d like to see some fresh faces. You can help us by recruiting your friends if you think anybody would be interested. Go to your admin to get a recruitment link so they can join the Empire directly.

I’d also like to continue the fictional development that we’ve had going with the Chapter series. Thran and I created these together. It was alot of fun to be involved in the process. Also, we’ve seen alot of positive feedback and I’d like to continue this.

2) The new Seasons concept that club leadership have been teasing seems really interesting. Do you have a sense of how CSP's fiction and/or activity are going to plug into that in the future?

In Atra’s report, he’s laid out that the first cycle or two will not be integrated with Clan stories so much. We will build towards that and we’ll work with the Voice directly to get our stories told.

The best way you can plug in to that is to participate in the events as they come and encourage your clanmates to participate. Plus, you can get that sweet, sweet loot for you and for the Clan.

3) CSP already has incredible Clan and House summit leadership. As you've noted, our size makes it impractical to reintroduce Aedile positions to the Houses right now. With that in mind, what are the best ways you'd suggest for members to get experience and opportunities for leadership while staying in the Clan we love since the slots are limited, and tremendous people currently fill them?

I kinda touched on this above. The best way to get leadership experience within CSP right now is through projects. Reach out to your Summit and see if they have anything available to get your hands on.
