Thank you, once again, for your incredible efforts in the Twelfth Great Jedi War. As Eli announced, our efforts pushed us past all but two clans for the honor of Third Clan of the Brotherhood. We achieved this not through an onslaught of participation, but through extraordinary individual & group efforts that placed time after time. We are few, but we are highly skilled in our crafts. Each of you deserve a heartfelt thanks and Eli & I are indebted to you for making time over that five week period.
Or more commonly known as back-of-the-envelope calculation, is a quick deduction that is more intuitive than a guess, but less accurate than a mathematical calculation. It can help shape perspective and breakdown complex numbers into simple behaviors that will have an improvement on financial or statistical outcomes.
Basically, this is a 'how we could have done better' speech wrapped up in numbers for camouflage.
Our Clan accrued a total of 2277.32 points for a rank of Third Overall.
We had a grand total of 217 submissions as a Clan.
If you divide 2277.32 by 217, you get 10.5 points per submission on average by our members.
We trailed the Second Clan, Clan Arcona, by 1599 points. If we divide that by our average points per submission, that comes out to be 152 submissions (more that we needed).
Our Clan has ~35 members ranked Dark Jedi Knight (JM4) or higher. If we divide the 152 extra submissions we needed by our best Journeymen and Equites (35), we have a result of ~4. That means, if we had averaged one additional submission per week, per member we could have taken home the title of Second Clan of the Brotherhood.
Not bad, eh? A little bit more encouragement to ourselves, our friends, and those we chat with on a daily basis could be the difference in the next major event! Its truly amazing how incredible each and everyone of you are. And I am blessed to be working with you all as we continue to aspire towards the top of the fray!
I want to publicly thank Kylex for assisting me with this report. We were provided participation results by Event. It required a lot of finagling, but we were able to manually move that data to excel, so we could sort it by Member and then copy it back to word. Kylex took it a step further and sorted individual results by placement, then participation. He worked really hard to help mine this data and I am eternally thankful.
