Greetings, Imperials.

Welcome to my very first report as your new Rollmaster. First off, I want to thank Shadow for giving me the opportunity to help the clan in this capacity. I’m excited to see what we can all do together. And a big thank you to Sykes for doing a great job as Rollmaster and Mauro as our Proconsul. It’s sad to see you stepping down, but I totally understand needing to focus your attention elsewhere. Now, I’m going to be doing things a little differently this time. Instead of a typical report that you might see from others, this will serve more as an introduction and hopefully shed some insight on what I plan to do.

My name is Reiden and I've been a member of the DJB and Scholae Palatinae for almost 13 years now. I won't lie to you, I've had some dips in activity over the years, but I always came back because of the friends I've made and the sense of community this clan, and the club as a whole, provided. I've met some truly great friends and had a lot of fun in my time here. It's a fun place to be. This club has given a lot to me over the years, so when the Rollmaster position opened up, I thought now was the perfect time to try to give a little something back.

To that end, I want to organize some regular competitions for you all to enjoy, and not just for the newer members either. That said, they will be a little more on the easier side because I feel like that would be best for new members dipping their metaphorical toes into the waters of the DJB and what it has to offer. I also hope to run some fictions that will help members (new and old alike) to flesh out their characters a bit more.

Another important thing to mention is that, above all else, I’m here for you guys. Need some help figuring something out? Let me know and I’ll do what I can to help, even if it means pointing you in the direction of someone else that might know more. Brainstorming something? I can be a good sounding board. Want someone to proof something that you’ve written? I’d be happy to take a look at it. For that one specifically, I want to note that I’m not as well-versed with the ACC or how skills and powers interact with each other, so it’s mainly spelling and grammar type things. But if you want my input on anything that gets a little more in-depth with it (the skills and powers), I’ll do my best to sort it out and see what makes sense. These are just two examples off the top of my head, but really, it can be about anything. The people of this clan should be there to help each other, and people shouldn’t be afraid to reach out and ask for help. My door, as it were, is always open. You can email me or send me a PM on Telegram. I may not be able to answer right away, but I’ll get to it as soon as I can.

Finally, I need your help to do my job properly. That’s right, you heard me. One key part of this is pairing new members with a master to help them, should they choose to have one. For this to work, I need to know who’s willing to take on a student and what your interests are. Feel free to reach out to me about this in some form, but I’ll also be sending out an email on the clan mailer about it within the next day or so. Now, although I’m still getting my bearings with all this, I’m happy to be a part of the team with the rest of the summit and look forward to getting the chance to help this clan in a way that I haven’t done before.
