Blessings and fair tidings everyone, christmas is around the corner and things are picking up. With the new Star War trailer recently released, the controversy has not been short of a civil war. With one side debating the actual functionality of the hilt, and the other side fangirlin’ it’s way into a coma. After watching the trailer for the bajillionth time, we can sort of agree that the ‘dude in the stormtrooper suit’ does not look like a bad guy. If you noticed several weeks ago, that very same actor came into our news because he was hired by the studio on the factor of being young and inexperienced. I’ll allow the media guru’s inform you more, but my newsletter must begin!

Welcome Arvalis

Some of you may have noticed that there’s been a slight whiff of Taldryan in the air. Others may have noticed a creepy guy stalking the offices of the ACB. I feel it is only customary that every new member should introduce themselves first before we, as leaders, do. Many of you are already familiar with Arvalis Raith. With a Sapphire blade on his belt and many Vendetta awards, this guy has had a pretty successful career with us. Give him a friendly welcome and such, if you can make sure to spend a few seconds talking with him, he really is a sociable person.

Leadership Management

You may have noticed a few reports back that the Headmaster has unleashed the grittiest of his exams yet, and placed it under the control of Xantros. Let me tell you, as a young, inexperienced and talentless person, I got 97% on my first try, my second try I completed it. It’s not the dull, boring exam you think it might be, this gives you skills you will probably look over in your lifetime here. Give the exam some thought and just try your best, that’s all they ask for.

In the Shadow Academy halls, Arvalis and I have been busy rebooting our knowledge with current affairs. We all have our own fields that we enjoy taking part of, and I hope that everyone can relax and have fun too.

This is where the few face death, and even fewer survive. But our Kordath has been outstanding in the gaming community by earning over 220 CF’s for himself. Well done, monkeyboy!

GC for Meleu

When it comes to excellence in work, Meleu does not let his pride get in the way of his duties like many others do. He simply and calmly progresses through what he was asked to do and gives it his best. Meleu works co-operatively with other staff members and gives the projects a certain shine you rarely see. He has priorities like we all do, but with the special amount of time he is given to relax, it is used to make the Shadow Academy, the Wiki, and the DJB as a whole a much better community. Congratulations Meleu, I am at a loss to see you go. In his stead, we have assigned High Queen Kat of Winsauce as the next Sergeant, everyone please welcome her into our fold!

Competitions

There has been nothing short of creativity within the Clan this winter, and i’m loving the entries that win. The competition I am keeping my eyes peeled on, is the Darth Name for your char by Andrelious. There’s some strong contenders for the second-level comp. If you think you’re talented enough, try for your piece of the meat.

Personal Note

I know that many of you might be asking, why the name/species change. I’ve been trying to develop my character throughout my entire time as a DF Leader and a Journeymen, to find the right balance of benefits and risks. But the Togruta/Torguta/Troguta species has a risk far greater than I wished for. Simply one swipe against the montral and he’s eternally deafened throughout his life. I have always been curious about the plant sentience in the club and only two worthy types sprung to mind; the Neti & Zelosian. With the Neti, you can camouflage with ease and your age with both species is almost neverending, if you play it right. But there’s many Neti already in existence, and they are incredibly susceptible to fire. This helps us assume that the Neti are better fighters, than scholars. Whereas the Zelosians are genuine people of learning, with a +1 in Medicine, it’s a field I can test one day. However like our strong leader, Mr. Consul the Zelosians cannot see in the dark. This also gives me some room to play around with too, developing backstories of why he is possibly scared of the dark, or I could include a folktale about it.
