Greetings and good day, Devil's Shroud. We are all on the cool down from the chaos of Awakenings, and I hope everybody is settling back into their normal routines. Don't get too comfortable of course. It seems that just as soon as we have a decent moment to catch our breaths, there are already hints of fun and chaos just around the corner, with Atra dropping the first fiction pertaining to our next Clan event, Ashes Fall. Now I could always go into some details about the fiction, but why would I rob you of the suspense? You can read the introduction fiction right here.

Of course, it isn't just within the Clan that big things are happening! As the next Jedi War approaches shenanigans are afoot! There is also the approaching release date and Beta for Battlefront, but of course you can always read more about that in the Praetor's Mid-September Update.

Now that Awakenings is over, I have to say that I am pleased with the activity I saw in the event. Two members of our Battleteam placed in the top five on the final leaderboard, and there was lots of awesomeness found in the RO thread. Give yourselves a pat on the back. My hope is that we will be able to represent even more strongly in Ashes Fall.

In the meantime, I wanted to touch base on a subject from my last report. As I promised in my last report, I have moved forward with the semi-regular Battleteam competitions. So I am proud to tell you all that the first two of the "Tales of the Shroud" competitions are up. The first gives each of you a chance to help mold our mythology, giving an origin myth for the Devil's Shroud. The second has the members of our team design a Battle flag to represent our team as a whole. There is also the short inter-BT event, Incursion that Scarlet and I are running. I hope you will all take part and enjoy the event. We both hope that you will take part as this is the beginning of an ongoing effort to create a Battleteam level storyline for Shar Dakhan.

Also, at the risk of sounding like a broken record I want to remind everybody that I am here to serve you. I am and always shall be at your disposal, should you need someone to talk to, a second eye over a piece of fiction, someone to bounce ideas off it, or what be. It doesn't matter how small it is, if I can be of service, all you need to do is contact me via email or on Telegram. I sometimes have some odd work hours, but all emails and Telegram chats go to my phone, so I will be with you as a free time presents iteself.

Nothing more would delight me than to enhance your enjoyment as a member of Devil's Shroud and as an individual. If you have any ideas you think would be enjoyable or new things you want to get involved in, hit me up. Together, we can move forward, making the Battleteam, both in parts and as a whole greater than what it was yesterday, and greater than what it is today.

Final Thoughts

I like what I have seen from team of late, and our newcomers Maru and Vicious in particular. Hopefully, we can maintain and build on our momentum in the coming weeks, team. I believe with everything in me that we can make Devil's Shroud an even greater place to be. I am sure I sound like a broken record, but I believe it to be true.
