Alarms were blaring everywhere on Sanctuary. Most of the staff and personnel rushed towards the safe-rooms. A brave few went for the armoury, planning on being part of the defence. Soldiers rushed for the airlocks, and barricades and defences were being constructed. The fleet had been launched, awaiting a proper plan. The Bridge took up an entire floor of the space station. In the west wing, a huge round table was filled with officers and Network leaders. Everyone was stressed, but one thing was clear: they needed a plan. Next to the table, a lone figure stared out of the huge window at the ships getting farther and farther away. In the distance, the enemy flotilla approached somewhat sluggishly.
Seridan watched as their two corvettes and three fighter squadrons went off to do battle. Behind him, there was talk about how this happened, and what to do next, but Seridan just felt helpless. He should be with the Paladin Squadron, piloting alongside his X-wings. But they needed proper direction. There were high-ranking admirals and captains in the room, but the plans being proposed were complex. What they needed now was a simple, yet effective plan. Seridan tried to focus on coming up with such a plan, but he was distracted. Just before the attack, he’d seen a name in a Network report. A name that took him back to his childhood; something he hadn’t though of in a very, very long time.
It seemed an old friend of his had come to New Tython. Seridan hadn’t left his home planet on the best of terms, and now this arrival could only mean one thing: he had been found. An old friend who’d been wronged could be as dangerous as a cunning enemy. Seridan worried about what it may mean.
He’d left Alpheridies, promising to do good in order to repay his planet’s apathy. He’d promised to do good, but now he was waging war and potentially sending men to their deaths. Was he any better than his people? Seridan turned away from the stars, head bowed, eyebrows creased and mind in turmoil.
“My god…” he muttered, “my conscience has the best timing ever.”
Seridan’s mind turned to the Disciples of Baas. In a spark of inspiration, he caught hold of an idea and went with it.
After a few moments, Seridan raised his head and surveyed the star-field once more, this time with a grim determination. He had a plan of sorts, both for the present battle and the things to come.
And the Disciples were the key to his future.
He spun around swiftly to face the officers, his robes swirling elegantly. It was time to join the discussion.
First of all, I feel like I must thank the Summit for appointing me as BTL. Welcome to my first report, well, ever. I’ve had discussions with the team, and we’re getting some super-awesome ideas. The future of the Disciples is bright! Which leads me on to my next point…
For too long the Disciples of Baas has been seen as the pacifist, apathetic Battle-team. But no longer. It is time for the Disciples to come into their own. We will not be underestimated. We are the healers, the diplomats, and the lore-keepers. We are the law-keepers, the bodyguards and the Force-wielders. We are the teachers, the mentors, and the guiders. The Disciples have massive scope and potential. We will grow as a team. In the coming months, the directions and paths we go down will define the Disciples. Ultimately, it is our members who define us. If they want to explore the legal system, for example, then we will go there and do some court cases. If they want to do something, we’ll do it. In the coming months, we will expand in many different ways, though still keeping in touch with our origins. The Disciples will be great. To put it simply, it’s our new dawn…

I’m a 17 year-old student from London. At the moment, I’m studying the IB, which is the qualification that will get me into uni next year. I’m studying 6 subjects (Physics, Maths, Psychology, Computing, English and Russian), and also do quite a few things out of school. I play the trumpet and the keyboard, and have learnt quite a few languages, like Russian, Ancient Greek and British Sign Language. I also help out for my school’s musical productions as a technician. We’ve put on quite a few performances like Fame, Hairspray, among others. This year the school is putting on Beauty and the Beast (an interesting choice, but we’ll see how it goes…)
When I joined the DB just under one and a half years ago, I didn’t like writing. My English teacher at school was strict and waaay too pushy. But my master, Adeodatus, and I worked on it, and soon I found that I enjoyed it. So much so that now it’s pretty much the only thing I do. I’ve done ACC matches, run-ons, ACB contracts, wiki pages, character fictions - I’ve done quite a bit.
Don’t get me wrong - I do game as well. I play quite a few hours a week of various games. Most of my games, though, are single-player or retro, and aren’t supported by the GMRG. There’s a distinct lack of CFs or PoB’s on my dossier, compared to the hundreds that some of you have :P
I’ve also dabbled in graphics a bit (as you can see in the picture above), but it certainly isn’t my forte. It’s good fun, though, and I would love to be able to spend more time drawing.
If you've got any questions, or need any help with anything, don't hesitate to contact me - I generally respond fairly quickly (unless I'm asleep or at school :P )
As I’m sure you’re all aware, Ji stepped down as Quaestor, which lead to Mar stepping up as Aedile, which led to me being appointed as the new Battle-team leader. Me and our Sergeant, Lu’aisha Gresee, have a great line-up of stuff on the horizon. The Disciples is a great team, and in the near future, we’re going to be expanding in lots of different ways. More on that soon. After the Sentinel Network finishes, there’ll be some comps set up for you guys to get stuck into. It’s definitely an exciting time to be a Disciple!
The Sentinel Network is the massive network of spies and informants operated by the KUDF’s covert intelligence team, the Shadow Company. It covers a large proportion of the galaxy, however sometimes things fight back. Recently the Network’s prying sparked an attack by the O’reenians on New Tython.
Sanctuary, the orbiting space station, is under attack. The Network, our first line of defence, may well be our last…
The Sentinel Network: Chapter 1: Sanctuary is underway right now. There’s a load of awesome competitions to do, including quick, simple games and puzzles, or the more witty and developed fiction or battle-plan. Let’s show the Clan what the Disciples can do!
You can read more in Alora’s report
The Disciples is an exciting place to be right now. We’ve got the Sentinel Network running right now, so focus on that. After that finishes up, we’ll get some stuff going :)

Nice report. The fictional direction you guys are taking sounds really interesting. London huh? I heard there was a big Star Wars convention coming there next July...
Really? I didn't know :P I'm definitely going, but getting my friends to go is like moving a stubborn bantha...
Nice first report dude: Can't wait to see your plans come into fruition.
Excellent report, Seridan!
