They say that the moment that you walk through a doorway you forget what was on your mind, called the "doorway effect". I have been thinking about that recently, I think it's because once you walk through that door you are overwhelmed by all the new possibilities. Well I walked through the door and I can say I feel that way entirely, overwhelmed. However I cheated and wrote down what I wanted to do first. What I want to do is make Ektrosis as active as possible during this summer lull.

I'm not the only one who recently walked through the door, Djasei Brevis has just walked through the doors of Ektrosis. He's only been here for a few days and has already amazed me with his accomplishments, keep up the good work!

My Ektrosis Goals:

With the recent decision to make Ektrosis a fiction centered house and Dinaari a gaming based one leaves us with a better opportunity than ever to work together. Making us a clan that works as well as a sword and shield. Achilles was only as strong as his heel, we need to make sure that we are both growing and not letting one stagnate. While I’m aware that my chief concern would be the immediate success and wellbeing of Ektrosis, I think that helping Dinaari on the way furthers Ektrosis interests. For surely if we don’t grow together we will fall together, we can’t win the GJW just as Ektrosis, we need them active too. To do this I plan working in close liaison with the summit of Dinaari.

The Ektrosis that I have in mind relies chiefly on participation. Participation egged on by the rolling out of more fiction competitions. I have been working quietly for a while now on a project that I found while looking over Ektrosis’ wiki page: the Taldyran Intelligence Directorate. The Taldyran Intelligence Directorate will be rolled out by making “Sword and Shield” competitions. Working in conjuncture with Raistline Taldrya Majere, we are going to create competitions and will be releasing weekly competitions in hopes to get everyone involved. Part one is the “shield competition” based in fiction, focused on creating a strategy for part two. This first part will be something along the lines of intercepting transmission and having members create fake dossiers and intelligence.

Excelling Dinaari into the power house that it can be relies on participation as well. We will be making competitions focused for them, the “sword competition”, and part two. It will be a gaming competition with fiction setup by the first part. These competitions will be along the lines of a flash game, or anything else that Dinaari summit can think up.

Lots has happened in Ektrosis recently: I have left my position as Battleteam Leader of the Wardens to be Aedile of this house. Seyda Norith has taken my place as Battleteam Leader. New competitions rolling out this week hosted by your own Ektrosis Summit. Our newest member Djasei Brevis has been hard at work.
