Gathering Darkness: Anyone have a flashlight?

The next Chapter of Gathering Darkness is out! Have a look over the plot. All of the winning fictions have been featured as part of the plot, right alongside the regular plot updates.

This Chapter has also brought us a few more competitions. First up was the Co-Op Fiction, which has been closed for sign-ups. I was hoping for some more participants, but I’m pleased to see that Ektrosis has all the participation for this event. I’m looking forward to working with my team, whomever I get placed with.

Second is a fun little Flash Game that shouldn’t take too long, but may be slightly addicting. Always fun flinging around little people. Last there is a simple little Graphic competition, where you need to make a Wanted poster of the mole in Taldryan. I’ve already submitted to it. If you can’t beat my submission then there is something seriously wrong with you :P

Don’t forget that there is also an ACC and Gaming competition on-going throughout this event, meaning there is plenty for everyone to do!

Room for All!

We had a couple more people join us in ye ‘ol Ekky these past couple of weeks. First up is Selika Roh (or Slagar to most people). He comes to us from Plagueis and hopefully he enjoys himself here, while helping us stomp over everyone else :P

Next up is a semi-veteran of the Clan, Noobis (or, you know, Anubis if you want to be technical). He left us for a bit to deal with some RL-stuff and it’s good to have him back in the fold!

Shout-Out to mah peeps!

It’s been a nice few weeks in Ektrosis. Many of you have taken up my call and completed the Leadership Rewards course. Taking this course may earn Taldryan something shiny at the end of the month, so if you haven’t yet then I highly suggest you try it out! It was also edited by those who knows how to rec a medal or two, so you may actually learn something at the same time. So yes, everyone go and whore-out this exam!

Speaking of whores (who aren’t Shad), I’d like to say well done to both Howlader and Zoron for being active little buggers. Howie has decided that he wishes to finally learn something after being here forever and has been going through a number of SA courses. Zoron’s being doing a few courses, but he’s also managed to place first in Sarin’s DB-wide fiction competition, earning himself a nice shiny Ruby crescent in the process. Keep it up you two!

Wiki Wiki Wah

Just throwing this out there, but there are a number of Ektrosis-centric pages that need a good updating (or making) on the wiki. I have general ideas and concepts for most everything, but if anyone is looking to be the wiki-whore of Ekky and take on some work and perhaps earn themselves a shiny or two then hit me up!

Wide World of DB

In the recent Headmaster Report there were a lot of new courses announced, along with a number of degrees being updated or introduced. There’s a lot of work being done in the SA at the moment, so check it out (just like good ‘ol Howie is!)

There were updates about the DJB Guild/TOR CFs in the latest Fist Report, along with some news about the Weekly PoBs and other games that are out there.

There’s a DB-wide Pazaak tournament going on. Cheer on your fellow Taldryan’s as one of us attempts to bring home the prize.
