It’s been a nice little week for us here in Ektrosis in terms of promotions. Lots of things going in and around the club and the House, so let’s get going

Do the Promo

We’ve had a few promotions in Ekky this week. First up is Zoron who has been elevated to the rank of Dark Jedi Knight! Zoron has been fantastic since rejoining the club after many years, not seeming to miss a beat as he dives right into everything we have to offer.

Next up is Dru who has hit the rank of Jedi Hunter and is well on his way to DJK. Aiden has done everything asked of him, and has been a great new member of the Clan. Can’t wait to see him become a DJK!

Last, but certainly not least, is Rossi, who just joined us this week and became a Novice on the same day! Hoping to see him become and even more active part of the House.

You Game, Bro?

There has been a number of news items revolving around some of the games that we use in the club, so thought I would point some of them out. There has been an update on our Guild in The Old Republic. The Magistrates released a mini-report updating everyone on what has been happening in the Guild. The Guild Website is also closing, as the fees associated with it do not make sense when compared to the amount of people utilizing it. I expect the main site to be the focal point for all things TOR from now on.

In keeping with the TOR theme, another new mount was released. I use the word “mount” loosely in this case :P There is also news regarding Player Housing in TOR, which seems a bit odd, but I’m sure there will be more info coming.

Last, there was an update on how Diablo 3 CFs are awarded. Essentially, things were nerfed to bring it in line with the other games we award CFs for. With the new Expansion on the horizon expect things to be tweaked a bit more.

Have you ROed today?

The big thing that’s still going on is the Crusade Run-On. We have two teams that are filled with Ektrosis members, along with another team that has a couple of Ekky members as well. The entire competition ends Sunday, but everyone should be trying for Satruday to get all of their posts in. Everyone on a team are required to post a minimum of 3 times, with each post being at least 250 words.

I know we have a lot of great writers here, so I expect all of our teams to do very well. If anyone needs any help in terms of proofing or just to bounce ideas off of, feel free to ask around or come to us and we’ll do whatever we can to help out. At the very least, I expect everyone who signed up to fully participate. By not getting your posts in you are bringing down the entire team. You also need to work with your team to ensure all of your posts mesh together. Remember, this is not about you, but about your team. It should be one cohesive story, rather than 5 or 6 individual stories that are just mashed together.

So, I’m hoping to have a Taldryan-sweep on this thing. Let’s make that happen!

All the Competitions!

Even with the Crusade RO going on, there are still a number of competitions out there for you to participate in, with many of them quick and simple things. That’s easy participation, with the chance to earn more medals!

Taldryan Expansion Force Commissioning Ceremony (Ends Mar. 11th) - I sent an e-mail out about this series of competitions, and it ends really soon. Just go in and help us name all of the things we bought with our Crusades winnings!

RTFR2.0 Episode 12: The Story of the Sick Proconsul (Ends Mar. 12th) - Another quick little competition. Just write a really, really short story detailing why Yacks is sick! (hint: probably booze :P). This one ends tomorrow!

Wanna Pod Race? (Ends Mar. 17th) - A fast, but hard little racing game. Just hop in, finish a race and send Quejo your screenshot!

Create an NPC (Ends Mar. 19th) - Create a character that can be used in official DB fictions! Great way to see a creation used by the entire club!

From their point of view (Ends Mar. 20th) - A simple little fiction competition that asks you to describe your character from the point of view of a NPC.

Kaz and Mav's Crazy Graphics Extravaganza (Ends Mar. 31st)- Do you like making graphics? Well, then go and help create some graphics for the Summit of Dinaari!

Taldryan Gate Keeper Trials, March 2014 (Ends Mar. 31st) - Be the best PVPer in the Clan and earn this new title!

Monthly Mobile Gaming: Basketball Mania (Ends Mar. 31st) - Download this app for your phone and try to get a best score, then submit the screenshot

Madness?! Madness!! (Ends Apr. 8th) - Sign-up now and by Sunday you can pick the teams for March Madness, a college basketball tournament.

Ektrosis Report: Hunt the Jedi #2 (Ends Mar. 17th) - Sign-up, read the clues and find the person! Fastest people with the correct answer will get the nice little medals

And that’s it for the report this week! Not too much to report Clan-wide, as we’re all busy trying our best on this Run-On. However, look for more new things to come out of the Clan once this round of the Crusades is over and we can focus on the Clan itself.
