Emissary #7.1: Plans for 2025

Hi again, folks! In Part 1 of this report, I talked about what the Emissary Staff accomplished in 2024. This post will cover what's lined up so far in 2025.

Expanding our social media presence is one of our biggest priorities in 2025. Our goals will be to refine our content calendar (basically, how often we post), and to expand the kind of content we post.

I'd like to extend a big thank-you to Slagar for turning us on to the Bravo Fleet Twitter/X account. Their social media presence has been a great help for the Emissary Staff in planning how to expand our own.

One feature we're planning to bring in is regular "theme posts", like a weekly Star Wars trivia question and monthly features of major aspects of Brotherhood lore. If you have suggestions for a category of theme posts, don't hesitate to hit up myself or one of the Emissary Staff on Discord or by email.

We're also looking into ways that members can feature on our socials, to give you all more recognition for your work. Expect to hear more on that as we firm up our plans.

Website UX Improvements

This is the Emissary Staff's other main project of 2025, in concert with the Herald and Seneschal.

As we all know, James and his various staffers over the years have done an amazing job building and updating the functions of our site. Unfortunately, the user experience (UX) aspects of the site haven't really kept up with the times, because James is one person and there are only so many hours in the day.

So, the Emissary Staff will be working with the Herald and Seneschal to make the site's UX better. The biggest step will involve transforming the home page for logged-in users from a news feed into an "activity dashboard", where you can access info about Brotherhood activities without having to spend so much time digging through the site.

We'll have more info for you about the UX improvements in future Emissary news posts.

30th Anniversary Events and Seasons

With major Brotherhood events happening through the year, espect to see Emissary-themed content. I'll leave it to Bubtra to talk about the details, but from what I've seen so far, I'm pretty excited!

This post isn't meant to be an exhaustive list of what the Emissary Staff is doing in 2025. We're open to suggestions for projects within our wheelhouse. If you have ideas, please reach out.
