Members of the Dark Brotherhood-
This will not be a very long report. I’m mid-move and preparing for a new job in a different state. Other than the below topics, I did some minor cleanup on the wiki to account for the path of (necessary) destruction I’ve left in the past few months.
This month’s topics:
Pendants of Blood - Gone Gaming with the Fist - April M:Fist Open for Applications
In my own version of Sherman’s March to the Sea, I’m burning down old architecture and leaving only the necessities in my wake. A few weeks ago, I turned off all Pendant of Blood options. Why would I do this?
Short answer: Pendants of Blood are my Legion of the Scholar. They serve no purpose in a world of crescents and clusters.
Long Answer: Pendants of Blood (originally the Elite Cluster of Fire for you very old timers) have changed in their use over the past few years, but were at their core a multipurpose award for some kind of excellence in gaming. They were issued for club-first raid clears, highest PvP score in a week/weekend, and even for single player gaming milestones in supported games.
With the death of Legacy PvP (good riddance), the weekly/weekend PoBs stopped being a thing.
With the end of requiring clan/guild membership in games with things like raids, the PoBs for Club Firsts stopped being a thing.
When I changed the GMRG points model, PoBs stopped being a gatekeeper award for ranks.
That left the limited number of single player milestones as the only remaining way for a PoB to be awarded. With the club’s stance on group play for rewards (see clusters), I found it silly to retain an award for single player gaming that was limited in the number of times it was available for members to earn.
So with that, I decided to turn off all Pendant of Blood activities. In effect, PoBs are retired.
I informed Consuls and the overall member base on Discord a few weeks ago, but let this report make it 100% official.
The MAA will make the change to the promotion guidelines to remove the PoB language when he can. But after all, they are just guidelines.
I lose internet on the 11th of April. Yay moving. Next Gaming with the Fist will be Saturday the 9th. It’s going to be a morning event this time (9AM-12PM Central) because i have a lot to do that weekend.
I wasn’t able to run one this month. Just way too much going on. To make up for it, Gorefest for March and April will be double clusters for everyone.
I’m not sure when the next GWTF will be. The next few months will be very busy for me.
Watch for the event on Discord, and click the “interested” button so I know how many of you are coming.
I have three Magistrate positions on my staff. I treat M:Fist positions as six-month gigs, so that means every two months, a position will open up.
This month, Alaris’ position is the one up for grabs. This term will run from 1 April to 31 August 2022.
Now then, here’s what you need to know about the position:
Position Requirements
If you are interested in applying for the position, please fill out this google form .
M:Fist Term Requirements
Once you are on staff, Magistrates have a few minimum requirements they must fulfill. Turel and Ric are both running through this, and it’s going very well. You are welcome to go above and beyond, but the bare minimum that you will be expected to do during your term are as follows:
Applications are due no later than 30 March, 2022. On that day i will lock out the google form and start working on selection.
If you haven’t joined the ranks of the GMRG, head on over to the GMRG-History course and pass the exam within the Shadow Academy. Get an opportunity to gain exclusive items, compete on the leaderboard to choose a Dark Council member to protect! (Get their accessory!)
All current Gaming and Fist Policies can be found on the Gaming Information page. I suggest that all members read this page as it has some great info. I will make sure this page stays updated to reflect all current office policies.
If you have any questions, please comment below or ask on Discord. Use the @Fist, @P:Fist, and @M:Fist tags to reach the staff. Don't use @everyone, though. That’s just poor form and is a quick way to earn a mute from chat admins ;).
Until next time,
Keep on gaming!

Excellent report. Glad to see a note simplified approach to gaming.
With PvP gone, the original purpose of PoBs has disappeared. Goodbye Pendants of Blood and good riddance!
