Buckle up because there’s a lot to talk about in this report. New platforms, new staff and some sneak peeks at the future.
I am proud to announce that the technical test for Pazaak has been a success and Discord-based Pazaak has been approved as an official platform which can be found in the PVP section. The Supported Games Wiki and other official documentation will be updated to reflect this addition.
This wouldn’t have been possible without our resident hat Tuq taking the time to research pazaak alternatives and develop a proposal. Be sure to look at the Steel Cross he got for the proposal and join me in thanking him for his efforts.
In case you missed it during the test here are the instructions for the Discord Pazaak bot:
—-
The bot has been enabled in #gaming-matchmaking and in gaming party threads. To hold down on clutter in #gaming-matchmaking please create parties for playing Pazaak (remember parties need at least 3 slots). Making larger Pazaak rooms is both allowed and encouraged.
To use the bot type /pazaak
And then the member you want to challenge. Bear in mind that the bot will tag the person you challenge in the room where you type the command so make sure the person you challenge is actually in the party thread before you type the command.
The challenge will look something like this and you will both need to click yes
Once a match starts you will play your hand in a PM from the bot. So pay attention to your PMs. You can submit screenshots of the match results to the site for clusters. A valid screenshot must show "person defeated person" in order to get clusters. Forfeits are not valid for submission.
The last round of hiring created some tough decisions for me, which is a good problem to have. If you applied or thought about applying stay tuned because there will be opportunities in the future.
With the duck feathers recently cleared from the Praetor’s office we have Rai-Ho Daigua better known to most of us as Justinios returning to the office. As a former Fist himself, Justinios brings a wealth of experience and knowledge of the office but also an application full of creative ideas and deep strategic thinking on what the gaming community is currently facing and the possibilities for the future. He’s already jumped into action getting the office re-organized and moving on projects.
Work't is no slouch himself joining Eleceos Araave as a Magistrate. Work’t brings a fresh perspective, boundless energy and some promising ideas of his own that I hope to feature in the near future.
Please join me in welcoming the newest members of #TeamFist.

War results are out and I will do a more detailed breakdown of the data in the November report (this report is jam-packed enough as it is) but I just wanted to say that I hope you all enjoyed the gaming bins in the war. I know some things worked and some didn’t and I look forward to reading yalls feedback in the post-war survey.
While Justinios is hard at work getting the office re-organized and dividing up tasks (and overall helping me take advantage of #newGMenergy) I wanted to give a quick update on a project that I’ve been talking about / working on since I took office.
I’ve long wanted to do a top to bottom revamp of the GMRG to include a new fictional theme, goodies and changes to the society’s advancement. I’m happy to report that thanks to a lot of help from Noobi in coming up with new society items the proposal has gained GM approval and is now in working out the logistics of the implementation phase. As Bubba said in his initial report I think the changes will make a lot of people happy.
The “goodies” include new items, CS feats and some really cool honorifics for your dossier. The point changes are in line with my philosophy of trying to provide a path for advancement in the society for those who prefer solo gaming or can’t be on to get clusters as much for whatever reason. That’s right single-player gamers, I see you. Basically, I buffed the point gains from running, participating and placing in gaming competitions. I’m working with Arch on a similar shift in the Warfare sage. The commitment of the Fist staff with these changes to make sure there are always adequate opportunities to participate in gaming competitions. Clusters will always be important to the society/sage but I wanted to shift things a little to be more inclusive. Hopefully you all enjoy the changes when they go live.
We have several other projects on the office whiteboard that I’ll be in a better place to discuss once we’ve settled a bit. But I have one word for the future of the society after the revamp, seasons.
Be sure to thank Tuq for saving Pazaak next time you see him and welcome our new #TeamFist. I’ll have a more detailed breakdown of the war data and our ongoing projects in November’s report.
Until next time,
Rajhin Cindertail aka Turel

The NEKO headset is the sole reason I selected Arch :)
Woo congrats to Work't and Justinos!
