Good evening, Gamers!
This will just be a quick update with a few minor things before I go headlong into War Prep. We’re gonna be talking game support expansion, a little administration change, and a new support poll!
Some of you have probably run one or two of these already, but a few weeks ago, Destiny 2 launched their new quasi-raid, Menagerie. You’ll have to do the quest line The Invitation before you unlock The Menagerie, but that will give you the opportunity to pick up some new gear as the Power Level is 690. You’ll acquire the Chalice of Opulence, which allows you to focus the kind of gear you’ll get from the new 6-Guardian event.
Reporting for Menagerie can be done like any other Destiny 2 Raid, but it will only award for a full clear with a modifier of 15.0. Assemble your Fireteam, get in there, and light some lamps.
One of the cooler things that was coded for PvP was the Leaderboard, which shows you everyone’s current PvP score. At first glance, this is a really great mechanic of the site, but in practice it has the potential to serve as a bit of a deterrent. Seeing someone with a PvP Score of 25 can be discouraging.
James has added a toggle on the PvP competition creation form that can hide or show the PvP Leaderboard for an event. Currently, its default is to show. All PvP Competitions during the Great Jedi War will have hidden Leaderboards, and during the War the default mode will switch to hide, which means that if you run a PvP event and want to show the Leaderboard, you’ll have to opt into it.
And now, my favourite part about being Fist so far: NEW GAME SUPPORT (potentially). I’ll be running a poll in the DB Gaming Telegram Channel for the next week, testing support for a new game to add to our repertoire, Dauntless. It is a free-to-play, cross-platform game, and it has a very straight forward system that seems to be perfect for our system. You go on short hunts with up to three other players to bring down powerful behemoths, and it has a score screen for reporting purposes. It’s what I like to call a unicorn.
If it passes the poll (20+ members saying they’re interested), it will open up for the testing phase as soon as the Great Jedi War comes to a close. If it passes the test (15+ participants), Dauntless will become a supported game.
If you have any other questions about the Fist’s Office or Gaming in general, don’t hesitate to fire me an e-mail: [Log in to view e-mail addresses].
Oh, and Q2 for the GMRG Leaderboard are coming to a close. There are two new Dark Councillors who need have accessories made for them, so as soon as those are completed, look out for that e-mail!
Good hunting,

WAR! WHAT IS IT GOOD FOR?
Alaris's prep, I guess?
too bad Star Wars commander or Galaxy of Heroes isn't a supported platform
Great report! Go dauntless (ftp and cross platform)!
@brim they are single player games, so they wouldn't be something the DB would support.
Excited for possible Dauntless support. I'll be contributing clusters to a test if it occurs.
@kalen apparently you haven't played them much. GoH has territory wars were guilds have to face off against multiple enemies and requires 25+ guild members to compete in, this includes Heroic missions that take entire guilds to beat them in a 48 window. same with Commander, we can do war and its guild vs guild 15 v 15 to win.
there's all sorts of levels in both games that could get people clusters for gaming. GoH has lvl 85 people, over 100 characters we could get for high levels or gear (like diablo and Hearthstone does), also with Arena in it now, we have to face against other people to get most wins in 5-6 days. Commander has levels up to Prestige, which isn't easy to do and hard to achieve (PoB opportunities there.) and to get troops or ships to lvl 10 or prestige too.
there's multiple ways to make it PvE or PvO comps in it. Diablo is mainly PvE and we can do that there too.
Diablo, Hearthstone, HotS and others are also single player games too to get PoBs.
@brim you do realize that I'm Drac, right? After 3 years as Fist I think I know what does and does not work with the gaming system. The games are inherently single player and have way too much of a pay to win focus to ever be viable games for clusters or pendants. And i am certain that my replacement will agree.
Also, it doesnt mean we cant host comps around it. With the new GAC having feats and divisions and stuff, im certain we could host comps for crescents.
However, for clusters and stuff or POB it does indeed not fit into our club system, with how heavily SWGOH is a pay to win game. Kyrotech anyone?
I'm glad that the menagerie got added, and with the heroic mode just being released do you plan on adding a 'Heroic' modifier to it? Also, what is your take on Club Firsts for Destiny 2 raids? Will they be coming back? I know the Last Wish one is still not complete, but it will be more easily achievable with the Destiny 2 cross save coming in September. Will our last one be Last Wish? Or will we get more going forward to include Crown of Sorrow? Is there any chance of getting one for Eater of Worlds, Spire of Stars, and Scourge of the Past? Thanks.
Also, Dauntless is free, fun, and cross-platform. I hope to see it added!
