Notes from Blueberry

Happy June Galeres! As per usual, our monthly report is late. It’s starting to become a tradition here. Things have finally calmed down after the Interclan event finished last month. We finally stuck it to the ancient sith who called themselves gods and foiled their plans to take Selen back under their power. It was a pretty interesting event, one that saw us fighting along side our friends in our ally clans like Odan-Urr and Taldrya. Read more about the event results and closing fiction here.

To highlight some cool stuff from our house from the event– Bril and Luka both placed in the top 10, placing 8th and 9th respectively. Luka placed 3rd in the first phase of the event, and Bril came out at 8th for the second phase.

Some top placements for the house: Luka won 1st in the phase 1 fiction, Work’t won 2nd in the phase 2 cluster race, and even though he’s not a part of our house anymore Kord won 2nd for the word search for phase 2.

We also had the May 4th festivities some and go. A lot of us turned out for that event and I wanted to thank every one of you that participated. Our leaderboard this month is going to be interesting for sure– maybe someone’ll finally dethrone Bril.

Succor and Safety

We have an ongoing RP that started up on 08JUN that still has availability. Galeres is on the move to attempt to help provide support for those who are trapped in the aftermath of the battle with the gods. It’s part of Galeres’ duty to look after the home front, and that especially includes both our Arconan and Selenian members who can’t help themselves.

You can find the roleplay under the house and Arcona channels in the discord by entering the /rp list prompt into the chat. I have some plans for some easy upgoing fiction prompts/etc regarding the same kind of mission for those who are not yet comfortable with the roleplay system.

Recent Updates

• A new temp member of the Star Chamber was appointed to fill in for someone who was retiring early.
• Wally debuted DM Modules for those who want to DM but don’t know where to start with the intention of growing the pool of DMs available so there are enough RPs. Check it out.
• We got a bit of a peek behind the curtain when it comes to the Emissary crew and what they do.
• Our very own Marick Tyris Arconae (Wally) got his fancy Sith-Not-Sith Lord title after years and years of faithful service to the club.
• The FIST staff added some new goodies to the supported games, lobbing in both The Finals and The Pit Mode of Diablo 4 to the things you can submit for clusters.
• Arguably the most important change since the last report done by Ood, there have been several changes to how the XP system works especially including how Elder promotions are handled. Atra goes into detail in this post and Bubba in this post about the changes to XP thresholds and changes to the awards systems. I heavily recommend reading these news posts if you have not already.
• Holy Kriff there’s Combat Master news. Read all about the changes coming to an ACC hall near you!
• May the 4th results were outlined by Socs who run the event again this year.
• EMISSARY POSITIONS ARE OPEN, APPLY APPLY APPLY APPLY. You can find more details here. The Emissary staff might be new but their job is incredibly critical to the continuation of the Brotherhood.

Things to Do

• Feel like being a songwriter? Jade has put together an interesting series of comps around making Starwars themed parodies of popular songs.
• Teebu/Cassandra has a series of quick doodle comps for those looking for Graphite clusters
• Wanna write some fiction but don’t want it to be a huge thing? Tuq has granted us an amazing opportunity to fiction in 500 words or less– you heard that right, 500 words or LESS.
• Remember that time in the 2010’s where everyone was obsessed with pixel art? Yeah, well, we’re bringing it back with a graphics comp series based around pixel art.
• The Big Boss Tiger is calling for aid with his new series of comps for GMRG Lore Building, with the bribery of fancy shinies if you do the thing
• Ever wanted to illustrate what songs sound like? Our Herald is hosting a competition where you can do just that.
• The DIA is handing out contracts once again. Wanna complete some puzzles and get those sweet sweet creds? Here you go.
• Anders still has his Trifecta ongoing, literally giving people an option to do just about everything and anything for XP and clusters. Take a look and put in for something.

Promos and Misc

The changes in the XP system brought us… a whole lot of promotions across the club and a lot of people hit their DBVersaries last month. So let's get started.

Asani celebrated their first DBversary on the 11th of last month! Thank you for sticking with us Asani!
Tyga Orn Nilim hit their 5th anniversary here in the Brotherhood on the 19th of last month! Half of a decade is a commitment, for sure.
Kaled Atros celebrated their 6th DBversary on the 28th! We appreciate you.
Xenna Azara celebrated their 9th anniversary here in the club on the 1st. Thank you, Xenna, for continuing to be in the club. It was nice getting to catch up with you.
