Laren turned his left palm face-up and the communicator burst to life. The cerulean figure of Teylas Ramar in miniature greeted Laren. Composed as ever, his robes perfectly set and his lightsaber resting completely straight on his utility belt. The Sith's powerful arms were folded in front of him and his expression was blank and cold.
The Quaestor bowed his head slightly in reverence to the Dread Lord - having learned how far pleasantries could go among the Sith - greeting him, “My Lord.”
“Your wait is almost over, Laren,” he began, his voice solid. It was a mark of the Dread Lord when he was deep in thought, to take on a more somber tone. “The Jedi will contact you, of that I am sure. Where the path will lead you, however, is unclear.”
“I have a tracking system on my person. My tracking data will piggyback through multiple communications networks to get to you on Aliso. You’ll know my every move as I do,” Laren replied.
“Excellent. I won’t ask how you accomplished that task - the anonymity of your former contacts in the underworld have proven useful in these unique situations.” The Dread Lord let his expression soften into his signature grin as he continued, “Don’t fail me, bounty hunter. The rest of the plan is in place.”
“I suspect even if I did fail, a man of your power has a contingency plan.”
The Dread Lord laughed for a brief moment, though it did nothing to break the tension Laren felt speaking to the Warlord. “You’re more right than you know.” The sapphire reflection of Teylas winked abruptly out of existence, leaving Laren alone in the dimly lit alley.
And another one! Yes, that’s right folks, I’m back with another report on behalf of House Ajunta Pall. Besides the fiction I included at the beginning of the report, I have a lot in store for you folks today. The Plagueis Winter Trials are in full swing, with Week 1 nearly complete. I’ll also have the usual goodies listed in this report, including a shinies update, other Club happenings, and #AsktheMerc.
Suffice it to say, I have lots in store for you, so let’s get to it!
Fictionally speaking, the Ascendant Clan is looking to step out of the shadows they have been hidden in for the last few years. Rather than operate from the darkness, the Dread Lord and his Wrath want to expand Plagueian holdings and form a dominion over various star systems and other, influential galactic actors. In order for this to become a reality, we need the Clan’s help by completing a number of essential tasks that furthers our objectives.
Thus we have our competitions for this fantastic event. There are three weeks worth of awesome content that the entire Plagueis Summit came up with for your enjoyment! Below, there is a list of Week One and Two events, so go do the things!
Running from 2016-12-11 to 2016-12-18
Get out there and do the things, folks. Not only have we planned some super fun events for you, but every submission counts in multiple ways: for your own development in the Brotherhood, for the benefit of the Clan, and it makes us (the organizers) happy to see that the Clan participating and staying engaged. Spread the Dominion, folks!
Keep up the amazing work, Ajunta Pall. I love seeing the shinies that you folks rack up. Leading by participation is setting the example for younger and older members alike. The way to have fun in this Brotherhood is to participate. So participate goodly, folks! (Yes, goodly is there on purpose.)
While we’re focused on the Plagueis Winter Trials, our very own Dark Council is also running their own event in celebration of the release of Star Wars: Rogue One. Check it out here. A Chiss. Duh. It’s all about that blue, baby.
One day, a few moons ago, Laren was almost married. Though that reminds me that I have to complete overhaul and update his fictional history. runs away
