A New Face and Some Updates

Through a combination of vacation, work travel, and plain-old forgetfulness, I neglected to publicly announce my second magistrate. Alishu has been hard at work over the past month reorganizing the outlines for the revamped Department of History (now run by I'm-not-Aabs) courses. Meanwhile, Rhace has been working on the revised Lightsaber Studies course, which may or may not become a single-course replacement for both the old LS Studies course and Advanced Lightsaber Studies. Oodles continues a very productive administrative streak, both creating the new SA Troubleshooting Form and approaching completion of the major SA archive reorganization projection. He tells me it isn't finished yet because he was too busy writing a 250 page thesis. Excuses (like this one are good :p).

Farrin, Master of Darkness and Haiku, has been an immense help keeping the team on track while I was traveling for work and pleasure.

The long-simmering Department of Writing Studies rewrite has taken a backseat to work on the History department, but I hope to get it moving again soon.

Less progress was made in March than I'd hoped due to my own real life obligations and staff illnesses and vacations. But work continues!

*Note that in the past, M:HMs were not permitted to take courses like regular members because they had access to answer keys. Under the new term-limited system, the M:HMs do not have that same access, so they are allowed to take courses.

Conclusion

As always, I'd like to close this report by asking for your help. The SA is a massive wall of text that covers ever-shifting topics and is prone to typos and run-on sentences. If you spot substantive or grammatical problems, please let me, Farrin, and the course PROF know so that we can fix them ASAP. We always appreciate help reading and editing -- if you have any particular expertise or spot problems, please reach out. There are shiny things available. :P
