A few things to highlight in this Herald report, from shiny awards for the staff to shiny goodies for the weapon and robe selectors. In addition, we're debuting a new section to focus on non-traditional art forms and how to vids. Would you like to know more?

I would like to use this opportunity to highlight the long serving members of my staff for some recognition that they have recently received.
I would encourage everyone to give the recommendations a looksee, as all three have done amazing work for the Herald's office and the Brotherhood as a whole. Bale has created some excellent robe designs and shouldered some unexpected burdens as Herald. Alaisy has done work that continues to blow me and the rest of the staff away. And Rian should probably just be named the Brotherhood arms master with all the weapons he has added to the selectors and member's dossiers. All three of them have my thanks.
Sadly, all good things must come to an end, and so does the tenure of one of my staffers. Alaisy let me know that after a solid year of service she is looking to stand down from the position of Magistrate to focus on her other duties, especially as Aedile in Clan Arcona. She leaves behind big shoes to be filled, but fill them I must. As a result, I am opening up applications for the position of Magistrate.
The application period will run from now until the end of site day on Saturday March 14th, 2020. Applicants should send their application via email with the subject "Magistrate Application", and send them to both myself and Bale.
Applicants should be able to meet the following qualifications::
I am looking to fill an all-around position, working on everything from warbanners, robes, weapons, and report graphic requests. The specifics of the duties, however, will likely be tailored to the skills and experience of the applicant.
As stated in my last report, the Herald's office was going to be focusing less on quarterly release content and more on member requests and other graphics updates while still providing limited releases of items when new Star Wars content arrived. And so Disney and Lucasfilm decided to drop three new pieces of Star Wars content on our heads in quick succession in the form of The Rise of Skywalker, Jedi: Fallen Order, and The Mandalorian. As a result the staff has put together a limited number of items from each property in the form of one regular sized release. These items are all live right now!

I'm going to start featuring a new ongoing section in my reports, one that will focus on how to guides and non-traditional art where possible. There are a lot of creative outlets that exist beyond graphics or drawing, and it's my hope to increase the visibility of those outlets for the Brotherhood.
This month's choice is something that grows out of the "maker" competitions that we've started running during the last few DB wide Vendettas. Arts and crafts in the DJB often focuses on the first part of that name and not the latter part, so I thought I'd open up the series with a video on how to make your very own darksaber. The design is fairly simple and doesn't require much in the way of specialized tools or materials. That, and the video is a good watch on its own.

I still find it weird that there are conversion hilt lightsabers available at any rank lower than EQ4 when they cannot be purchased until then..
Amazing report. Thank you for your service Alaisy. :)
Thanks for your feedback, Noobis, but this is not the first "folding" staff that has been made available for dossier use prior to EQ4 and it probably won't be the last. ;)
Oooh, loves me some shinies! Nicely done, Herald's Office!
Thank you for all the lovely things you've said, I had a good time being part of the Herald's office and learned plenty! If anything it is a very welcoming and warm team, so if you're looking to work on developing some skills its a great place to be.
@Slagar: I didn't say it was. I just said I found it weird. :P I have no doubt it won't be the last.
@Alaisy: Thanks for your year of service on the staff! You've been pumping out done amazing pieces and I'm sure you're looking forward to being able to spend a little more time on your own artwork.
Great work everyone! Looking forward to seeing what else you guys come up with in the future. Good luck to the future magistrate!
Best wishes Alaisy, and nice designs added!
Congrats guys, and thank you Alaisy for your great work on the staff.
nice
Think the selector is slightly out on the new shocktrooper M robe, the choices on the drop down for plain, helmet, poncho and full don't appear to correspond to the image . For example plain shows the helmet, helm shows the full outfit, full shows just the poncho and poncho shows just the armour with no accessories.
Amazing report! Awesome, suberb work Alaisy (I specifically loved your Lost Sister design)!
I cannot do computer graphics, Slags, but I wouldn't mind working up traditional designs of weapons/robes based on what members want. Sort of... help create blueprints for you and your team to work from. Here is... well, part of my online portfolio.
Thank you for the comments!
Malisane, concerning the Shocktrooper robes, we will investigate and fix!
Huge thanks to Alaisy for all her work in the Herald's office over the last year. She is an exceptional member and will be sorely missed.
Update: Shocktrooper robe order will be fixed by the weekend.
Thanks for all the warm words, very happy that the work is liked!
*Loved
Fixed that for you, 'laisy. :)
