I'd personally like to congratulate Kyo Akumu, a Neophyte from Scholae who won this year's Halloween Special Trick or Treat comp with his very cool and very surprising rendition of a Storm Trooper Captain America. Bravo sir, very original and very very cool indeed.

For his efforts, Kyo receives his own Accessory. Captain America's Stormshield (Get it? Captain America? Strom(trooper)shield? :P)

Your Herald listens to the people. I may not always give you everything you want, but when I do give you something, it's usually something sought for. So please enjoy your new Westar 35 single and dual Selector blasters, available at Journeyman 4 and Equite 2 respectively.

Lex asks: #AsktheHerald Have you found any good graphics software/hardware lately?

Yes. i've recently gotten a hold of a tablet and, apparently, my Photoshop CC 2015 won't register the pressure strokes. long story short I got my hands on Pain Tool SAI. It works brilliantly. I'm still getting sued to it, so it's a process, but i can really recommend it. it's not as flexible as Photoshop, so I move back and forth from time to time to get all the options down, but for what it's worth it's a very good piece of tech.

I painted the header image in SAI, so you can see the results.

At home. Most of the folks I wanted to go out with got sick. it's flu season here, so it's not very fun. Anywho, most of my plans got cancelled. So here i am, posting a report :P Beer is indeed on my table, for all those interested.

I don't carve pumpkin. like I said, our Halloween traditions are a bit...different. We usually just head out and burn a witch or two.

K'tana asks: #AskTheHerald For someone who is approaching a rank where they are able to request custom items and if that person has no artistic skill, how would you suggest they come up with a design idea? Do you require them to figure it out for themselves or will you find someone who can help them?

Best thing you can do is search lightsaber retailers like Saber Forge. they usually have designs that work well. Or you can simply send me a mail and inquire about any ideas i may have. I'm almost always available to answer any questions.

Members usually base their saber on some popular saber design or another. If not that, then they use a general concept (like steampunk, cyberpunk, dieselpunk, etc.) or even designs from popular TV series/films (we had a "Firefly" saber, which was mostly brass and dirtied metal.

It can be as elaborate as you want it. We can mostly make it work. We can't promise 100% accuracy, of course, but in most cases we manage to make whatever you want.

Not for now, no. All the Fiction Society accessories and weapons have been completed, however that isn't to say that there won't be a saber inspired by the Inquisition.

Ood asks: #AsktheHerald seriously though, your impressions on the state of the club graphics-wise. Also what are - in your opinion the weak spots in this regard and are you planning to fix them and how?

Graphics wise we are still in our infancy, I should say. Yes there are many artists in the Club, but most of them are unknown unless they post something in a comp or as an avatar request (how I found Seyda). What it boils down to is open communication to discover these individuals. That's why I started the DB Art Club. It is my "School for Gifted Youngsters" and I am its Professor Xavier. I gotta find them and bring them into the fold. So far we have 35, but we need more.

Realistically I dunno how many more we'll get, so as soon as I'm able I will communicate with unit Summits to spread the word even more. The more people know about the Art Club, the more we develop in thsi regard.

I'm guessing you mean iconography? :P I don't know at this time. Honestly? I seriously doubt it because that would mean a lot of unnecessary changes to the site when we just got it rendered :P
