The Ides of March

If you haven't heard by now that our beloved Baxir/Orv has stepped down, go read the GM report and Orv's news report. This is my first DC gig and I'm sure there will be some growing pains, but I'm very excited and humbled by the trust placed in me by Muz and Raken, and of course Orv, whom served as my mentor and partner in crime since we took over the office. There are still a number of items that we both want to see accomplished, and in the coming months I will be making some of them a priority. He'll be staying on as a Magistrate to help make it happen. And no, sadly, Socks didn't get to assassinate Baximus Brutus-style as the title might imply. He is very much alive and well, though I can't say the same for Orv. ;)

Rally the Bannermen!

We have made a couple more Warbanner rules changes that I think some will be very happy about. Dark Jedi Knights now have access to Order supports - these are the rails that hold tassets and DJK can request the Obelisk/Krath/Sith color versions if they wish. Jedi Knights will also have their Order supports, it is definitely on the list. In the meantime, it was brought to our attention that the Light Side Path did not have the same warbanner Order color progression as Dark Jedi, so that has been corrected.

The new progression:

• Defender - Padawan: Green, teal, yellow
• Jedi Knight - Savant, Duelist, Scout: Green, teal, yellow, red, orange, blue
• Seer, Warden, Ranger - Chronicler, Peacekeeper, Shadow: Green, teal, yellow, red, orange, blue, purple, tan, brown

• Watchman, Guardian Blade Master, Cleric: red, blue, purple, yellow, orange, green, teal, tan, brown, white, gray, or black

• Guardian - Jedi Hunter: red, blue, or purple

• Dark Jedi Knight - Priest, Warrior, Templar: red, blue, purple, yellow, orange, or green

• Archpriest, Battlemaster, Prelate - Epis, Battlelord, Exarch: red, blue, purple, yellow, orange, green, teal, tan, or brown

• Pontifex, Warlord, and Primarch: red, blue, purple, yellow, orange, green, teal, tan, brown, white, gray, or black

Herald Staff:

Verse and Mirus have been great additions to the Herald Staff and I am happy to announce they are now full Magistrates. Thank you, and keep up the good work!

Second Sons

As announced, I am currently looking for a Praetor. Even more than that though, I am looking for mercenary/freelance drawing/gfx talent in the club. Both because I need your help in fulfilling various tasks around the DB, but also because we want to build a stronger artist community. Getting the DB DeviantArt page cleaned up and updated was a good first step, but I'd like to see a lot more submissions coming through it as well as the various social media tools the club is using.

Edit: By graphics, it doesn't necessarily need to be expert knowledge of Photoshop and the like. We have need for multiple disciplines, even hand-drawn stuff. We can make some cool gfx out of simple pencils. So please do give a shout out, I know there's a lot of talent out there!

Avatars fall under DB graphics, so if you would like, please do upload yours to DeviantArt and submit it to the DB DA group so everyone can see it! That goes for the GFX forum too. If you get commissions in and outside of DB, we have DeviantArt sections for that as well!
