Four fiscal quarters past to this very day, I released my last report - or what I thought was my last report - for House Karness Muur. However, surprise! I'm back. I took on the position of Aedile on top of my other duties, and I couldn't be happier to be a part of the team once again. I can't actually remember if I started in House Karness Muur, and I'm too lazy right now to go back and check. So let's just say I'm happy to be home.
This report is going to be short and sweet, with the main focus on the upcoming Plagueis-Taldryan event. There's only four days until it begins, after all! As well, I'll throw in a couple news highlights, and begin the report below by highlighting some of the recent shinies earned by our fellow Muurians (TM...?)
Let's get 'er done!
Congratulations and well done to these members. And to all of you folks out there who are participating and enjoying competitions day in and day out, keep on giving it your one hundred percent. With time, patience, and a majority dosage of fun, the shinies will come. There are a number of competitions happening throughout the Brotherhood at any given time, and they all have the potential for reward, both personal and tangible. All you have to do is put in the effort of trying, of doing, and eventually succeeding. It's a simple, tried and true formula, and if there is a way that the leadership can help facilitate your experience, never hesitate to let us know.
This is actually a perfect segue for...
That's damn right, folks. The Pro Bowl is back! The gods above are planning a massive event, and this time our brothers and sisters from Clan Taldryan will be joining us.
If you click the massive link above, it'll direct you to the Consul report - which if you haven't read that yet, I highly recommend you do. But for this part of the report, the goodies of importance are as follows.
So for those of you who had the honour of participating in the last Pro Bowl, pay attention. For those of you new to this amazing extravaganza, pay attention. For all the ghosts and spirits and other folks hanging about, pay attention. This is about to get real. However, I'll say again that I highly recommend you read Slagar's report and his own, super detailed event breakdown.
Now for starters, two teams. Team Abalance, jointly led by Rhylance and Abadeer, and Team Selaris, jointly led by Selika and Alaris. Now at this point you may be wondering, "Wait a minute, are we having mixed teams?" Oh you bet your snazzy pants we are! Like any good 'Bowl' style event, there will be a draft. And this is where we come to the next part.
Draft order will be determined by the co-Captain's placing and participation in the Week Zero event. Speaking of, let's get to the dates (listed below)
Now, for scoring. And honestly folks, I'm going to take it directly from the words and report.
"Scoring will be as follows: Each individual will earn five points per event they participate in. Participation is defined a valid submission for an event. Simply signing up for an event or uploading an unqualified submission will not count. You have to put in the effort in order to receive the reward. Participation will earn 5 points.
Additionally, the top three individuals in each event will earn placement modifier points. First place will earn 4 points, second place will earn 3 points, and third place will earn 2 points, and all other entries will earn 1 point. Events themselves will have modifiers based off their perceived difficulty/level of effort required. For example: the modifier for fiction will be 3, modifier for gaming/graphics/poetry will be 2, and no modifier will be added to puzzle/trivia/flash events.
Grading formula: (Placement Score * Event Modifier) + Participation = Event Score."
Well, following that super necessary word poaching, I'll drop this as well. If you have any questions about the event, feel free to use Telegram or e-mail to get a hold of your Clan summit leaders. However, we as the membership have the easy part. We get drafted by the Captains, learn who our teammates are, and then go out there and give it our all. I won't deny it'll be a lot back-to-back, but we can do it. Like I said above, don't feel pressure. Just remember that every competition is ultimately designed to be fun for those who participate, and all will be well. Though the more you do, the better it is for yourself, and your team.
You know, I can almost imagine Laren sitting at some desk in The Pinnacle, reading "the news" off a random pad to the wall. And then I can imagine Kul'tak or Ronovi walking in, and an awkward exchange happening. Karness Muur, Plagueians, anyone reading this, make this head canon a reality. Because I have another list to make.
There is, of course, more news. It's out there. Please go read and stay informed. We write these reports for you folks, and to stay accountable.
It's Pro Bowl time, folks. Get ready. Get hyped. And then keep that hype going for the impending Great Jedi War. And as always: Adapt. Ascend. Avail.
