"From the Preminence to all those who stand alongside Karness Muur, achuta. For those who have not seen me lately, I am Eiko. I've lost my taste for long-winded messages, so without further fuss, let us begin the briefing..."
We are closing in on the end of the year -- the slowest time for business, and the busiest time for family. The end of the year is traditionally a time for reflection, leading into all the changes that will come with the new year.
V'yr's much-anticipated Holiday Special is upon us. The Episode VII celebration competitions are in full swing, closing at the end of the month. We've been keeping tight lips as a club about the contents of the now-released Star Wars: Episode VII: The Force Awakens film.
If you've missed the most recent reports from the Dark Council, please follow these links to catch up. I expect the new year, and my next report, to cover a whole slew of changes as we adjust the newest features of Star Wars.
Life in Plagueis is remarkably quiet for the most part, since a lot of the activities and events have been at the Brotherhood level. If you want to catch up on what's happening with your fellow members in the Clan, feel free to join us on Telegram either in the DB Chat or in Plagueis's Chat.
Selika has been taking names and booting people out of the Invitational ACC Tournament. If you're interested in watching a fellow Plagueian tackle some of the toughest opposition in the Brotherhood, look no further!
Some of our peers, as well as some recent Tarentum allies, have been forging through the month's RO -- keep tabs on their successes here.
House Karness Muur has seen a lot of transition in the past few months -- new leadership in every single position, the recent House Rebalance, and all the inherent chaos of the holidays.
As a Summit, Darkblade, Ra'gnar, and I are currently in planning mode. We want to start the next year off on the right foot -- and we have some projects that we're going to tackle. If you want to help, add things onto our list, or just chat with us, you're more than welcome to find us via email or Telegram.
I watched The Force Awakens last night, which means that spoilers have no more power over me. It was very good. I am listening to the soundtrack on Spotify as I type this, which is just about the best thing that can be happening to me right now.
But no, I won't spoil it for you. Even if you wanted me to.
Along with the other members of the Summit, I've pulled together a sequence of projects that we're going to be hammering out before the end of January. That seems like a long ways out, but sadly, it's right around the corner.
My informal email at the start of my time as Quaestor had a single question in it: "What kinds of events do you most enjoy participating in?" And while the poll wasn't to a very large sample size (statistics, yadda, yadda, yadda...), it did confirm what I already guessed was true about the House -- the dominant avenues for HKM activity are Individual Writing and Light Gaming events.
Led by myself, this project will focus on putting together meaningful, engaging individual writing competitions that have an impact on individual characters -- this could grow into a lot of diffent forms, but it's intended to keep a consistent flow of competitions even after the "busy" season of DB-wide competitions fades out.
Led by Darkblade, this project focuses on getting the Wiki up to date with better information, formating, and all the other pieces that matter. If you'd like to help out on this project, contact Darkblade. This project will be ongoing as the Brotherhood changes to accomodate The Force Awakens.
Led by Darkblade and myself, this would be an ongoing run-on that would offer the opportunity to get characters into contact with one another in a way that is usually only achievable in cooperative fiction and/or competitions such as the ACC or Voice-sponsored events. This is a nebulous concept still, and would require a lot of effort from the Summit to implement with high chances of "failure," but it is absolutely on the table all the same
Led by myself. This is my personal project, a secret among secrets -- but in the interest of being accountable and semi-transparent (translucent!), I do want to tell you that I am actually working on it. Right now, I'm mostly in planning and developing, with an eye towards this project being a long-term and/or repeatable process that might eventually be shared with others.

The first report usually is the wordiest, so if it feels like you've already slogged through too many words, then you can skip this bit. I'm just going to do the customary thing and tell you a little bit about myself, in case you aren't familiar with me.
It still feels like I've only recently come back to the club. I'm impressed to find this place remarkably better than when I left it; and maybe that's just the good feelings from seeing The Force Awakens last night, but I had the feeling beforehand too. This is a fantastic community, and getting back into the saddle of leadership is a privilege. I'm immensely appreciative of the opportunity to be behind-the-scenes, crafting the events and doing the work that lets you all have fun. My real life is full of the same shtick: I feel best when I'm supporting the work of others, whether in little ways (like proofing ACC posts, helping people brainstorm a plot, or tackling recommendations for medals) to big ways (like planning and running projects, doing "super secret" leader stuff, or creating opportunities for individuals to access the joy of the Brotherhood on their own terms).
You're going to see a whole lot of me in the next year, and I believe it will be one of the best, most eventful years in recent memory.
May the Force be with you, always.

Can't wait for the new year. :D
Kinda weird to read one of these not written by me.
None the less, seems like some things are happenin in HKM
Same here Callus, unusual to see your name not etched in the stone tablets. But you still got a mention for your Steel Cross, so you aren't completely wiped away.
