The paperwork never seemed to end. Reports were a constant in life, both in the military and as Quaestor. Those who had never served in a leadership role will never know just how much paperwork is involved in running a House or a ship, let alone a Clan or something bigger. Hopefully soon this paperwork load will be trimmed down ever so slightly. A chime at his door.
“Right on time.” he whispered to himself. “Enter!” he said, voice raised just enough to be heard. The door opened and in walked Warlord Robert Sadow, his black robe flowing behind him. The elder man stood behind the chair and bowed ever so slightly.
“Quaestor.” he said, his voice showing a hit of respect. Hades nodded and gestured towards the chair.
“Please sit, Robert.” he said as he devoted his attention to the man in front of him. As the Warlord sat, he pulled back his hood revealing his face.
“You wished to see me, Quaestor?” Robert asked, meeting Hades’ gaze.
“Yes, Warlord. You applied for Aedile of the House. After speaking with several ranking members of CNS, I’ve come to a decision.” said Hades.
“Uh oh. It’s probably lies, anyway.” Robert offered. Hades chuckled.
“I hope not. You’re hired. I hope you remember how to do paperwork.” Hades said as he dropped a few datapads into Robert’s lap.
“Do I have time to back out?” said the Warlord as he made a face at the new workload he’d just been given.
“You sure don’t.” Hades smiled. “First up, BTL of the Night Hawks.” added the QUA. The two sat and discussed applicants before landing on the finalist.
“Okay, works for me. Take the rest of the day to get your affairs in order and report back here to me tomorrow at 0800. Congratulations, Aedile.” Hades said as he stood and offered his hand to his new second in command. Robert Sadow chuckled before taking the hand and giving it a shake.
“Gee, thanks. I think…”
As per the fiction, please welcome our new Aedile, Warlord Robert Sadow. Of the applicants I had his application was quite unique and after quite a debate, he was selected to help move HMR forward. I look forward to his tenure.
The Night Hawks is the long-standing battle team of HMR. With that long legacy in mind, I wanted a BTL that will help nurture the younger members and guide them to a successful start to their DB career. Of the applications received, one stood out.
I would like to congratulate Colonel Kojiro Keibatsu as the new Battle Team Leader of the Night Hawks! I know we all have great faith in him as we shape HMR in the months to come.
I would like to thank all applicants to both positions, you know who you are. People like you are what make the DB possible.
Week 3 of the Pro-Bowl is still ongoing. There are a lot of fun and easy comps that do not take a lot of time! Everyone is assigned to a team, so please check which team you are in.
This is a fun comp. I have been competing every week and I encourage you all to do the same.
There are also a lot of DB-wide competitions available for you to engage in and have fun with. You are in charge of your own happiness here and outside the club. Grab a comp and enjoy yourself, why not?
