Hello Ladies and Gentlemen,
We're going to keep this one brief this time. There's a few things to cover in quick succession, but mostly this is just a general update of ongoing events and changes within the House, as per usual. So, consider this both a recap and some brief coverage of everything else going on at the moment worth talking about.
First of all - The fiction is coming. You can blame both turmoil within the Brotherhood and in life outside of it for getting in the way of this yet again; with the former requiring a substantial re-write due to character elements, while the latter has robbed me of any substantial amount of time. So, hopefully, we can expect that to be finished the moment that life calms down and starts to actually behave itself.
Also, I spun the wheel of themes, so we're on Babylon 5 gifs for this month. Enjoy.
Due to Edgar's life demanding more and more time from him, we're without a Questor again. We'll be opening ourselves up to new applications again soon and, once we have considered a few basic options, you can expect to have a new person heading this house once again in a relatively short amount of time. Until then, you're going to have to do with me. So, please enjoy the chaos while it lasts.
As for other matters, those in the House chats will have noticed a document given out to our membership listing possible changes in the coming months. If you're in there, you'll be able to read it and make up your mind for yourself on what it might mean for the future. Feel free to comment on it in response as well, really, it's why we created a full feedback form for you to comment on this sort of thing. Apologies, but I will be leaving much of what that covers to those much higher up the food chain than me to explain. This is both because there are a few responses still being considered, and quite frankly it's a rare chance for me to palm work off on someone else.
At the moment a few segments of the Wiki is undergoing a general overhaul at our end. Apologies, this is nothing major, really, and largely amounts to basic timeline updates, fiction corrections and the like. Largely this has covered the Dominion's actions thus far and the Vatali Empire's response to the war, along with whatever else needs additional detail. However, that's just the boring parts. The fun bit comes from a fair few of the additional pages we might be able to add. Much of Solyiat is still unexplored, and we only have a basic outline of many cities. We know what they are, we know what they do, and we know where they are. The same goes for certain islands, major satellites, what happened to our local Wookiee population and even our base.
As such, I'm opening the doors now to anyone who wishes to get involved at this end. Your offers can be as long or short as you want, either focusing on general bits of our locations or even full-fledged reworks of broader regions. Just feel free to message me with what you want to work on and we can go from there. After all, we've only explored a small portion of the House's homeworld, so it might be a good time to start fleshing it out.
I only ask for one thing, please: If you're going to write for the local fauna, please limit yourself to six more kaiju-sized species at the most. That's all I ask, thank you.
Given the situation with the Quorahi, how does Tarvitz respond?
Tries to keep the peace, avoids fights (for once in his life) and generally tries to give them a reason to start fighting him if at all possible.
Or for the funnier version:
What makes Hoth the strongest house in the Club?
Apologies, I would normally ask "In terms of fiction or in real life terms" but the answer is the same. We are basically playing the Dark Jedi Brotherhood on Hard Mode. I can't think of a single time when the odds have been seriously in our favour, when we have had a notable advantage over our rivals, or even when serious disruptions have not relentlessly undermined our own stories. We even had our own planet blown up and lost everything. Yet despite that we have managed to repeatedly rebuild, renew ourselves and come back stronger. Even if we do not win, we can at least have fun taking on a challenge.
Honestly though, by this point, I think that the Tardigrade could be made Hoth's mascot animal.
If you're active, please leave a comment or at least consider a few bits of what is listed here. If not, well, you're not reading this anyway, so it's nothing you need be concerned about. There's always the threat of an attack by, say, a giant space dragon, the kind that eats the sun once a month. It's a nuisance, but what can you expect from reptiles? Did I mention my nose is on fire, and that I have 15 wild badgers living in my trousers?

Until next month, I hope you have a great June.
