Tisto stared at the hologram of Wulfram in disbelief. “You want me to do what?”
Wulfram’s hologram looked unamused by the boxer's skepticism. “You are going to lead this splinter faction in the Clan. I won’t have Hoth going around and causing problems.”
Tisto opened and closed his mouth a few times looking for the right words to say. “I only just got back to the Clan. It wasn’t a few months ago you called me a traitor. I just joined the Jedi temple as a padawan. There is no way Hoth is going to accept that I am in charge of anything.”
“And in those few months you were instrumental in the defeat of one of the Gods of Selen,” Wulfram rolled his eyes. “You have pestered me to give you command of the Sunrider, and done numerous odd jobs for the Envoy Corps. If you didn’t want some sort of role why did you not just keep your head down?”
Tisto did his best to give the hologram some sort of side eye. It was never an easy thing to do. “Fine. What tools do I have to work with? A ship? Trepus Mine? Any of the army?”
The Mandalorian chuckled in response. Tisto found it to be mildly unnerving. “You have Hoth. And the Empress has given the House a manor on Daleem she expects to be built into a proper city over time. You will have no assets to start off, you have to earn those. I’d give you the right to name them but several ornery members of the group have named it already and I doubt you would change their mind.”
Greetings to all who are reading this. It is my pleasure to be the first Quaestor of this House’s return. Hoth has had a long line of very impactful Quaestors and I do hope to not let that line down with this appointment. For those unaware, I am Tisto Kingang, and I have spent the majority of my time in the DB in this very House.
So what does the return of House Hoth mean for the Clan? Well, if your characters have a firm belief in the Light Side, this is the House for you. As you can see here in our wiki instead of focusing solely on the Jedi, Hoth is a political body with a castle on Daleem. I have been assured that the planet does in fact have some ice so it is not a total loss from the move from Trepus Mine on Solyait. But this does mean that Hoth is a home for all of those who fight for the Light.
As for our castle/base/thing on Daleem, there was no way Hoth could get a base without referring back to its origins. Pernicar Manor stands not only as a place for the future but a remembrance of Fort Pernicar and New Tython. With that in mind, the immediate future of Hoth involves following in the footsteps of our patron. So, look forward to that on the Horizon.
