Sector MS-5
Florrum
Amongst her many duties, Major Alethia Archenksova had been charged with ensuring that many aspects of House Satele Shan and indeed, Clan Odan-Urr as a whole ran smoothly during this extended operation. She sat at her desk in her makeshift headquarters, shuffling between reports and information feeds from around the Clan.
Her brilliant organizational skills were well suited to this task, and thanks to her, SeNet intelligence was quickly acquired and distributed, providing warnings and laying the ground work for much of the guerrilla-style tactics that were popular in this conflict.
Many of the Clan's resources, from foods to weapons to fuel, were flowing smoothly through the camps and headquarters of their operation, finding their way into the frontlines of battle, where numerous lives were being saved - or lost - in the conflict against Clan Plagueis and the ruthless Inquisitorius who sought to exterminate them all.
Nathan Deciarus, the Inquisitorius, watched as the tall blue light that represented Korroth felt a cordial warmth. He was greeting his Aedile, down in her root cellar, as he had done a few times in the past two weeks. He was anxious; this was unusual, given that the operation would be finishing soon. They were speaking, and continued to for some time. The Major was starting to feel worried. Korroth finally bowed and left, his blue light fading into the background as he disappeared from the room.
Nathan continued to watch the Major for a few more moments. Korroth had become very suspicious of Nathan lately, while Nathan was undergoing treatment for a minor injury. Soon after, the Major had begun feeling the same kind of animosity towards him, though she was far better at masking her feelings than the Pau'an. Now, with the operation on Florrum coming to a close, one would expect that everybody would be preparing to leave; Korroth, however, was busier than ever, checking as many people through the medical area as...
As Nathan opened his eyes, the entire scene vanished. The boy stared at his arm as he suddenly realized what Korroth must have noticed: the Inquistorius had a habit of marking their agents with tattoos. Nathan's own tattoo was on his arm, barely an inch from where the stitching had been.
He knew. So did the Aedile of House Satele Shan. By now, Mako must have known too.
Nathan muttered a curse under his breath as he stood and dressed himself in a tight green linen suit. He would need to be careful; so far, two Inquisitorius spies had been uncovered from the refugees that left New Tython. One had been killed by Turel, following an interrogation; the other, very publicly executed by the Arconan, Mako Henymory.
With his identity in the Inquisitorius exposed, it would only be a matter of time before Nathan would be targeted next.
He thought through his options, quickly and carefully. If he left things as they were, then Mako would certainly make a move when he felt the time was right. The Major would take action herself, if he took too long. No, Nathan thought to himself. I need them on the defensive. I need to tackle this head on.
I need to make the first move. He discarded his lightsaber and left.
Dressed in her black Mandalorian armor, Lilly Erinos stood just outside Major Archenksova's makeshift headquarters. She was a dangerous opponent, trained to handle Force-sensitive enemies of her ward, the Satele Shan Quaestor. Mako could not have found a better Fade. Nathan forced a polite smile and extended his hand, and in the brief handshake he saw her armor covered in blood.
"Councillor," she greeted him curtly as he stepped inside the root cellar. "We've been waiting for you."
To be continued, in Satele's report...
Hello House! Missed last fortnight's report entirely, due to finding a "quick, short-term employment opportunity" that dragged on and on. Yesterday was the last "half day", finishing after about 11 hours because I wasn't interested in coming back on the weekend.
Other than that, things are mostly starting to look up; my course is finishing, and I am transitioning from being a student to a job seeker, while scrambling to finish off some elements of my course that have new requirements.
In short, I am still here and still preparing our future. One new thing I am currently doing is tying my report fictions in with Satele. Not sure how long it will continue, but it has been interesting to work on, and I hope that others find it a good read as well. Another new element for our future is our upcoming new world...
Yeah, it's been done before. It's been done to death. And while "A Whole New World" may seem appropriate, no. The new planet I've been designing for House Hoth is mostly complete and feedback has been pretty good so far. I hope that this project will be out of my hands and in the DC's lap soon.
I've covered most of what everyone wants with this particular planet, and I am hoping that it will be well received; it's a world full of challenges, opportunities and an interesting history that I hope this House will enjoy for years after I am gone.
I thought I'd take a minute and congratulate our Aedile, Edgar Drachen, on his promotion to Equite Two. He puts in a lot of effort to participation, encouragement of activity, and recently into our Feud against Clan Plagueis, and I felt this was a well deserved promotion. The amount of activity he puts forth is truly amazing. Congratulations Edgar!
Another recent promotion that has occurred is that of our very own Consul. A'lora has been promoted to Equite Four, the same level I am on - and I can assure you, I have not seen a more worthy EQ4 promotion for a long time. A'lora has his fingers in many pies at the top level, and has truly capitalized on the decision to elevate Odan-Urr to Clan status. I do enjoy working with him, and will continue to for the foreseeable future. Congratulations A'lora!
Traditionally, "Exodus Day" is celebrated by handing out Seals of Loyalty to two members from each Clan. Our Aedile Edgar and our Clan Rollmaster Xantros were the recipients this time around. Congratulations to both of you!
We recently wound up a Feud against Clan Plagueis, and House Hoth put forth an impressive effort. I'll be releasing final statistics when they are available, but I was very impressed with the effort we put in, particularly in Phase 1. I am looking forward to handing out awards shortly :)
The Clan Feud against Plagueis has concluded and we are currently enjoying a little break. This won't last too long, but for the moment, check out the Competitions page (https://www.darkjedibrotherhood.com/competitions) and kick back with a pina colada. I am putting together the April Free-form Fiction competition right now - it will not be running long, but this is mostly due to the Feud, and the lack of interest during the Feud. Expect normal scheduling from next month.
Remember that you need to be a member of House Hoth in order to place, and that your entry cannot have previously been used in a competition, and must at least mention your main DJB character.
No Tl;dr this fortnight. It occurred to me that my index up top is more or less a TL;dr list. I may make it a proper one in the future.
