The rusted metal doors screeched with the effort of being opened. Aged lights flickered to life as the three Plagueians walked in. Dust coated the durasteel floors in strange patterns from the relocation of the rooms many crates. Storage containers towered in large stacks around the edge of the room to create ample space for training. Vivackus Kavon di Plagia led the two Protectors, Hazah and Azmodius, around and past a lone crate, to the center of the former storage room. He abruptly stopped and turned on his heel to face them. The two Journeymen halted in response, standing at attention before the Sith. The crate sat motionless behind them.
"I want to start today's lesson with a simple question. Are you ready for anything?"
"Yes, Consul," the two Obelisk replied in unison.
The Battlelord eyed each of them for a moment. "Are you still ready for anything?"
"Yes, Con-"
"Wrong!" Furios Morega interrupted as he jumped out of the crate and struck them both on the back with electrified fists. The Protectors collapsed and screamed, writhing on the floor with the burning pain.
"Today’s lesson one," Vivackus said with a grin. "Trust no one."
The Prelate stepped out of his crate and pushed it to the side with a light kick. He and Viv walked away from the recovering Journeymen and each nimbly climbed a stack of crates. "With that lesson in mind," Furios stated loudly, perched upon his stack. "Fight!"
Without hesitation Hazah and Azmodius drew their lightsabers and faced each other. Their masters said nothing, but simply watched. Azmodius attacked first, swinging at the Marauder's head. Hazah quickly parried the red saber and aimed his own for the Arkanian's heart. Furios' student stepped out of the lunge's path and swung once again for his opponent's head. The human ducked under the attack but was met with a kick before he could retaliate again. He somersaulted backward with the blow and vaulted to his feet. The two Protectors glared at each other.
Vivackus looked to Furios and nodded. The Prelate sighed and reached toward two empty, nearby lockboxes. They lifted into the air, hovering at their controllers will. Just as Hazah was about to attack the other Protector once again, the Aedile hurled a crate into each Journeymen. They were once again knocked down.
"Why are you fighting each other?" the Consul of Clan Plagueis asked with a smirk. "Furios is the one who attacked you."
The two Journeymen frowned.
As you should have all seen from Sarin's report, the Dark Council is planning to start the third and final chapter of Fading Light on October 10, 2014. Planned to end on November 2, 2014, it looks like this will be just over three weeks of hard competition throughout the Dark Jedi Brotherhood. The first chapter was pure Run-On and the second chapter was an ACC tournament. Despite our best efforts and decent participation, we did not win either of those events. That being said, this event will be run with a wider set of events rather than large chunks of fiction. This is our time to shine, to win, to show the Brotherhood what we have to say about Fading Light. Prepare! Prepare and for the glory of the Clan, we shall be victorious!
Also in Sarin’s report, Great Jedi War XI is aimed to start on January 9, 2015 and run for about a month. This event will be the culmination of two years of hard effort and storyline. We’ve fought, bled, wrecked, and struggled through everything the One Sith have thrown at us thus far, will fight, bleed, wreck, and struggle through one more round of Fading Light on Nicht Kah, and will finally end it all with this, the event to top it all off. More inspiration on this in the future.
Assuming these dates don’t change, there will be just over two months between the FL3 and GJW XI. I don't want to give you the full scoop just yet (I don't even have the full scoop) but there will be an event for Clan Plagueis in that time period so be ready for that as well.
Long story short, our fall is PACKED with fun, competitive events. Be prepared, seriously. Participation is key and time will be short. Be ready to write fictions, make graphics, answer trivia, play video games, and do even more because these events yield the biggest rewards. Clan points, glory, novae, titles, and even promotions can be yours so get ready, because it’s going to be a thrill ride of awesomeness.
The past month has been fairly slow for Plagueis considering what’s happened in past months and what will happen in future months. July saw the end of our Sphere of Influence House v House Feud and October will see the start of the next round of Fading Light. August has been our break month and September shall be our preparation month so finish up your relaxation time and start revving up those creative engines.
I’d also like to give welcome shout outs to Azmodius, Katan, and Dal Me`Rit, House Ajunta Pall’s newest journeymen. Welcome back to Lorien Sinclair and Kul’tak Drol who are returning from Rogues.
The Brotherhood has had and is going through a lot of changes. The Shadow Academy has been going through revamping. Dark Councilors have stepped down and their positions have been filled. Projects are under way in every aspect of Brotherhood activities. Check out the news page often because you never know what hot, new thing will show up next. I recommend reading the Dark Council and Clan Plagueis reports at the least. Knowing is, in fact, half the battle.
That being said, be prepared and have fun.
