Another month, another bunch of things happened, happening, and/or about to happen. We’ve got some new shiny things to go with the usuals, so be sure to look through this bad boy with care so you don’t miss the stuff relevant to you. For your convenience, we’re trying out this newfangled table of contents thingamajigger. Hopefully we don’t bugger it up too bad.
Something that we in the House Summit sometimes lack through normal conversation is feedback, and especially so when looking at long-term stuff. And what normal conversation especially doesn’t provide is an easily-referenced collection of that feedback. So now as we enter our fourth month as Galeres’ Summit, we’ve put together a survey for you all to tell us what we’re doing right (and thus should continue to do) and what we can improve on (and how you think we could best do that). Note that some but not all questions may require a response in order to complete the survey. The survey link can be found in the report announcement e-mail; it is not linked in this report.
General topics of discussion include:
If there are any questions about this review, feel free to let us know via e-mail, Telegram PM, or in Galeres Chat (also Telegram). Anticipate us putting one of these out for every quarter of the calendar year.
We finished the pre-event RP just in time for the competitions to kick off. This RP will also be available for Galerian/Arconan consumption in the e-mail distro, per the usual. Unless specifically requested, we will likely be taking an RPing break for another week to let people recover. If folks are craving some of that goodness though, hit us up and we’ll do the thing! Likewise, if you want to run a session, or have us run a scenario of your design, that is also on the table.
And, if you have feedback on our RPs, don’t forget that we have the feedback form in the pinned messages in the House TG channel. You can find it in the pinned messages menu, or flip back to February 10th. We can’t improve the experience if you don’t tell us what we’re doing right and what is maybe not so right.
On an interesting note though, I wanted to quote something from Zujibeans from our OOC chatter: How many clans can say their made up NPC species has a fleshed out language? :p
We’re currently sitting at eighty-eight (88) words in the Keadean Lexicon, plus some associated grammar! While this is particularly a labor of love for me, thank you guys for being a driving force behind this! I’m glad you’re enjoying it, and I hope it helps to continue bolstering interest in this plotline of ours.
That said, we may attempt to reduce the rather lengthy one-on-one pieces that were especially prevalent toward the end of this last session we had. We will see how folks feel about it first, but it’s something to keep in mind.
We’re still looking for folks that are interested in doing wiki work! This will be our last call for worker bees a while: no responses means we’ll assume no one else is interested.
Wiki work comes in three parts. First, we identify the article(s) and/or their constituent part(s) that need updating. Second, the editor makes suggested edits to the page (ideally through a Google Doc so we can directly see the work being done). Third, final tweaks and approvals. For the one doing the editing, not only is it a good opportunity to get some service work credit, but it’s also a great way to learn the history of the House, its assets, and have a direct impact on its recorded history.
If interested, shoot us an e-mail and we’ll get you working. If you have one or more articles in particular that you want to work on, let us know and we’ll tailor the project timeline as much as we can.
We’re keeping this bullet point calendar here for you guys to keep up that expectation management as the months and events go by.
The event is now LIVE, folks! As of this report, we are about two weeks in, with the full breadth of the competition running until April 25th. Plan accordingly, and be sure to ping us with any questions or issues you have during the participation period.
Case in point, there was a noted issue on the Cryptogram competition. Sera is aware of this and has already undertaken steps to rectify the typo. This should not negatively affect your participation time and/or placement so long as you put in A) the decrypted text as it was before the correction, or B) the decrypted text with the proper spelling of the intended word.
There will be a closer fiction once the event is over, with outcomes reflecting both participation efforts and in-character actions. ”But what does that mean?” It means this plot is not on rails: the more you do, the better the fictional outcome for the House.
SO MUCH NEWS THIS MONTH. ALL THE NEWS MOAR NEWS. We’ve got DC positions opening up and being filled, a few updates to important Brotherhood policy, and a laundry list of other notable occurrences, most of them good. Let’s read, shall we?
I certainly hope y’all will be keeping busy this month. We’ve got a slew of worthy competitions, from fiction and graphic to codebreakers and puzzles. Some great opportunities for quick participation in there, if anyone is looking to boost their numbers for a promotion or merit award.
Note: this only reflects Crescents, Clusters, and other Awards, and does not directly reflect participation.

Sera again! Now for my favorite part of every report, filled with sass and schmexy snipes...Q&A!
Atty is up first, with a bundle of queries.
For Both:
Thoughts on Kaedeans vs Sardinians?
Respective thoughts on Ruka's new tattoos? (Dagger for Sera, lavender for Q)
Thoughts of each other IC as a leadership team?
Most excited for upcoming project or event?
For Sera:
*green ribbon knitting follow up when? *
*Second question, Sera's thoughts on Ruka's parents or what would even lead her to questioning his feelings about them? *
Actually third one, would she or would she not immediately hear "we're not close" and go "but why, you should be!" and generally be Sera brand enthusiastic about forgiveness and family and love and honor?
Forgiveness, yes. Love, yes. Both of things are given unconditionally, even if the other party doesn’t quite give a damn. Even if her parents never loved her enough to raise her, to care about her, she’s never stopped loving them. But, accepting them? Getting close? That’s something different. Her own brother could never forgive his parents for leaving him and Sera. She would never force Ruka to forgive his own, especially since they forced him into a far more horrid situation. Are you going to introduce Koren anytime soon, or is that more in the back pocket?*
Soon and very soon. Probably not before I leave to New York, but I’m hoping for sometime after I get back.
For Q:
The Kord Intervention, before, after, or during the wedding?
Who's Q's maid of honor/best man? Who's K's?
Q's current thoughts on Arcona/summit? Any change?
Next up, Zuji throws out a quick interrogative about Sera’s fam. Piggybacking off of Atty's, Orion: flesh out what Diy knows of Koren? :3
And, finally, Xenna finds herself in a legally questionable position...again.
I may or may not have sparked intergalactic war, do we have a procedure for this?
As always, I can be reached by e-mail at [Log in to view e-mail addresses] or on Telegram with @QyreiaArronen (PM or through our group chats).
