Hello everyone and welcome to the February Edition of the Hoth Quaestor Report! The House Event, A Light In The Tundra has concluded. Participation was not as explosive as hoped, but we did have an amazing RP with over 6500 that you can read here. Overall, I would like to thank the participants we had, you all had an amazing showing and did a wonderful job helping establish where Hoth stands now. However, we still have a future, and to that end I have made this questionnaire to get information on what you would all be interested in.
With that out of the way, let’s get into the report!
42 ABY Pernicar Manor Kaal Daleem
Tisto stood in the governor's office, overlooking the construction of Kaal as it was built up around Pernicar Manor. Thankfully the seemingly endless snowstorm had stopped allowing for Pernicar Manor to be completed in no small part aided by Hothfather Edgar Drachen and the delivery man Frenek. Yet even with these steps forward came several steps back. While the trio of Syrena, Frenek and Miho had solved the murder mystery the Kiffar had set up at the drop of a hat, it exposed some clear weaknesses in Hoth.
The lack of a proper bodyguard force was made evident by the fact that the Shipwrights Guild had successfully poisoned Tisto, and he wasn’t sure if Hoth was secure enough in its footing to have to deal with a change in leadership so soon. Adding on top of that Syrena brokering a compromise between the Ithorians and the Wookies left neither party particularly happy with the state of the grand greenhouse. It would set the construction back to make it capable of sustaining the promised ecosystem.
Still, she did well. Much better than I had been doing. I should keep an eye on this one as she has a knack for getting things done on an individual level.
The boxer moved away from the window to take a seat at his desk. Reports were already coming in from the agents he had sent out. This new animosity from the Shipwrights Guild was causing issues with several of the other noble houses among the Vatali. Kaal was still being built up, leaving it behind schedule in comparison to Hoths new rivals. Worst of all some of the agents Tisto had sent out were coming back with reports of Darksiders trying to make a place on Daleem.
“The work never ends, does it?”
Both Sunrider and Hoth have finished our October events in exploring our new surroundings. Meanwhile the Western Marches have seen a sort of intermission, with a temporary ceasefire being established. With everything that has happened and Life Day just around the corner it seems even foes like the Dominion and those reactivated CIS droids are unwilling to continue the devastation of Quermia so close to a holiday.
For further competitions or if you’re reading this a few days after I posted my report, check here for a list of competitions. There will always be end dates attached to each competition for your ease of decision making on which competitions you would like to sign up for. All Competitions End At 1759/5:59pm CST.
So, with the second month of the Lord Protector coming to pass I have to hand it to several of our new House members for their hard work. If anyone would like to see what the final scores were across the board, the points are calculated here!
Congratulations to Vyrese Palestar for coming in first this month, with a round of applause for runners up Edgar Drachen and Syrena Valkar! Thank you to everyone who has been active, you are all amazing!
I feel like I should say something clever here. Instead I’ll say I have no idea what to ask the herald staff for in terms of custom graphics. On one hand, custom graphics are cool. On the other maybe I should go for “represents Hoth” so we have some that can be used by anyone who ends up in this position.
