House Karness Muur Aedile Report #1
Good afternoon fellow Karness Muur members! Welcome to my first report as the new Aedile where I fill you in on our plans for the present and the future!
Who’s this Darkblade guy?
A short introduction in case you don't know me. I'm a tourism student who will hopefully graduate sometime this school year. When I first joined the DJB I had loads of spare time due to an internship that allowed me to basically goof off and have fun. So I immersed myself (Shadow Academy ftw!) back into the Star Wars universe and quickly came to realize that this club was pretty awesome. At times my activity waned due to school and preparations for my thesis, but every time I came back to the DJB I made sure I left a whirlwind of activity. Picking up projects that others had either forgotten about or were buried under more pressing concerns, I made sure I was there to pick them up. Making a good impression on your fellow members is important in this community, as is letting your summit know that you are interested in work to keep yourself busy and help the club in any way you can.
Yes, this is an attempt to get not only the Journeymen to step towards me or Eiko for projects, but also the Equites and especially the Elders amongst our ranks. Feeling flustered or bored? Or do you just want to help the club and contribute to its existence? Hit me up on Telegram and i’m sure we can find something to keep you busy!
Furthermore, I am an avid pc gamer although my laptop is from the stone age. It can withstand my gaming habits of Diablo 3, the occasional Star Conflict and most of my time is sunk into League of Legends. I suck at all of these games though but the friends I play with make it amazingly fun! Fiction wise i’m about as creative as a rock and I do not shine out as many of the other DJB members do when they write fiction. Speaking of which, if you for some reason have been living under a rock, I urge you to check out the Grand Master’s Invitational Tournament! More on that later.
And in conclusion, my personality. I'm a friendly person and will go to great lengths for people who would do the same for me. I'm an extremely loyal person and dedicated to finishing what I have started. Making mistakes is all a part of growing up and maturing, and as long as anyone shows the right amount of hard work and genuine feeling of wanting to learn more and grow, I will put a lot of effort into said person despite past experiences. At times this might make me seem a little naive, but rarely have I been made to regret my decisions.

New BTL for Apostles of Syn!
We opened up applications for the BTL position of Apostles of Syn. Eiko and I had a couple of applications that made the decision hard to make. However, one application stood out above the others and we both agreed that Ra’gnar would be best suitable to lead the team. Welcome to the team buddy and we look forward to your work in Apostles of Syn!
Grand Master’s Invitational Tournament
Round 1 has concluded with Selika the only one left fighting for Plagueis in Round 2! Support our PCON and let's cheer her on to victory! Also, let's not forget Kz’set’s effort though with his strong entry. Being in the Tournament is a feat in itself and an honor to represent your Clan. Well done to both of you!
Other DJB News
Other important DJB news has come out recently concerning the future of the DJB.
The Voice has issued a report that goes into some depth about the possessions system (yay!) and given a hint as to what the plans are for moving forward after the release of Episode VI. In further news Selika is looking for a new member for the Wiki Tribune. I encourage anyone to apply, for wiki work is one of the most rewarding and self satisfying “jobs” to do. Who doesn’t want to see (near) instant results with your mark all across the wiki? Finally, an important update has been administered by the MAA, namely that organizers and co-organizer will no longer be able to place in their own competitions. You can still participate but awarding yourself a crescent is no longer allowed.
Upcoming Plans
Our current plans are to wait till the release of the movie before deciding on future plot updates for the House. This is mainly due to wanting to see what becomes canon and the impacts this will have on the Dark Jedi Brotherhood. For now we are going to start working on plans to create a Run-On that will come out soon. More news on this in the next Quaestor report!
We are planning to work on updating the wiki pages for HKM so if you are interested in helping out there let us know! These are easy things to do and they count for promotional requirements!
Final Words
With plenty to do this month clubwise and the busy holidays quickly approaching, I for one can't wait to relax and hope that the Star Wars movie exceeds expectations.
