Another month has passed. We’ve survived April Fool’s Day, or as I have started calling it, International Don’t Believe Anything You Read on the Internet Day, with only minor cases of nerdrage and no one contributing towards anyone on the summit getting promoted. Anywho, moving right along to the more important stuff. First, thanks for your hard work on the recent RO event. We were the only unit to qualify all of our teams and the participating Murrians were a great help towards making that happen. Good job folks!
For those who might have been hiding under rocks, giant space monsters, or in places the internet doesn’t reach, our next big competition will involve the ACC. For the newer folks, the Antei Combat Center is where we write simulated battles between two individuals using set rules and such. It can actually be a somewhat fun activity, when your opponents aren’t eating peanut butter. However, in order to participate, you must first pass some basic qualifications. You must have an approved character sheet (takes about 15 minutes to put together) and pass two SA courses which are located in the Department of Combat Writing. As we as a house and as a clan are being rated on participation ratio, it’s important that we get as many folks qualified as a possible. Right now only the four folks in the House Summit and Vassago are qualified. We need to fix that, pronto. If you have any questions about the process, feel free to reach out to any of us. When you qualify, challenge one of us so you can get some practice in. Competition starts in a couple weeks or so, so get it done.
In the meantime, we have some competitions for you to participate in. First, a quick shout out to Zednich who has been running Bar Brawling, a rather interesting fiction comp. It ends on Tax Day (the 15th for the non-Americans), so get to it. Also in the mix are a few house level comps. The most important of these is Populating the House. It involves the fun task of creating NPCs that will appear in future fictions. Be as serious or comical as you see fit because as you probably know by now, not all my writing is serious. Also on the docket are a couple of flash game comps, one that does involve the brain a bit Spell it Out and one that’s more of the mindless fun variety Peg It To Em. All these run until the 19th. As I’ve said before, I’m always on the lookout for innovative comp ideas, so if you have em, send em up!
Oh, and you have 5 days left to get your taxes done. Get on that too :).

This month’s musical interlude comes to us from the Red Hot Chili Peppers. I don’t know about y’all, but I totally Can’t Stop.
As for the Moment of Zen, this one goes out to Arturis as part of our little video duel. I know you stepped down, but it’s not over! Behold!
