Kiast System Malestrom Corsairs Base of Operations Attacking a Pirate Base

Landing on the outskirts of the Maelstrom Corsairs base stationed in an asteroid belt, Mauro Wynter, Jafits Skrumm, and Korroth had two goals. To take the intelligence their House had given them and then to destroy the Malestrom’s base of operations. From a distance, Mauro stared at the base just out of range for the Pirates to notice the Raider and two Jedi. As he looked at the old base, Mauro knew something was different. There is something strange in this base that he had read about. The base had the ability to hide from regular ship sensors according to the intel he had gathered, but his House was able to find it through previous reconnaissance missions. The Force was strong in the Dark side when Korroth had previously scouted the area and reported sensing a strong presence here.

Jafits Skrumm was eager to begin the mission but knew he had to focus his mind on the fight. As he focused he began to feel the power in this area was greater than something simple Pirates could own. Still focusing he thought the enemy might be using a machine or special tool to hide their position from radar, maybe they found it in the ancient ruins on another planet. As he cleared his mind it hit him from some old teachings he had seen that resembled the base. The Force it projected was immediately clear to him at that point. The old base was a powerful fortress of Darth Bane, during conflicts with the Jedi that he had studied in his younger days in the Jedi Academy. Examining the base it wasn’t much to look at from the exterior as most of the buildings had been damaged from earlier bombardments during the Republic fleet bombing years ago, however, they weren’t strong enough to destroy the maze the base contained underground.

Well, folks, I hope you all enjoyed the House event! It was great to see everyone join in and have fun participating in the activities. Congrats to our winner Mauro Wynter who took first place.

-You may have noticed a new change in the House as of late. Moro has stepped down as QUA in order to focus on his studies. I wish him luck, but I want to give special thanks all for his guidance and mentorship while I was his Aedile. Good luck in school brother!

-Turel and Arch have accepted Len Iode who will return as Aedile and I as Quaestor for House Satele Shan. Congrats to Len who I know will help us produce some good fun for you the members and help us continue to grow this House. Thank you to Turel and Arch for their decision to have faith in us both to lead the House into the next chapter.

-My door is always open to all members regardless of House. If you ever have questions, or ideas that you want to see implemented please e-mail Len and myself. We will always work to try and implement ideas you all want to see. The goal for the House is to have fun and we are here for you the members. Our job is to help you enjoy your time here and get you recognized for your activity. Keep it up, Satele Shan!

-Thank you to Mord for his efforts as Battleteam Leader of Garza’s Pathfinders. We have decided to temporarily close Garza’s Pathfinders until we can outline a good plan moving forward until we can open it back up with enough members. If you have ideas and are interested in helping build a strong unit then shoot Len and I an e-mail. For now, the focus will remain the upcoming GJW.

Great Jedi War!

The dates have been announced! October 13th through November 19th! I hope you’re as excited as I am for this event. We only see it every few years and it’s our chance to have fun and show the DJB what our Clan of lighties can do. Thanks to Sarin, Mav, Wally, and the rest of the DC staff that have been hard at work to help make this a reality. Have fun, but be patient with the process as it rolls. Many of the DC will be consumed activity wise to keep this smooth and fun for all DJB members. Drac and staff will be hard at work during the GJW processing gaming, Wally, Atra, and staff with the fiction, and Howie and staff will be busting their tails after the event in processing all the rewards. If you see them online give them special thanks as we all know this is an all-volunteer club and their efforts do not go unnoticed. Thanks, DC staff!

• Celevon has also released his report as Aedile for House Hoth! *Battleteam Garza’s Pathfinders will be temporarily closed. We will be looking at ways to updating this for opening possibly after the GJW.

• The Grand Master has announced the GJW starts October 13th! Get ready folks. Our time is coming!
• The VOICE and staff busted their arse writing over 16 pages to the latest fiction update Chapter 5: Endgme Check out this amazing piece if you haven’t already.
• The Herald has chosen a new Magistrate and talks about future updates in his report. They have been busy as heck making some amazing images for the club for over a year, so shout out to them for kicking arse with all the updates for the club in his time in office.

Greetings and Salutations Satellites, Odanites, and Brotherhood Members. For those who do not know me, I am Commander Len Iode (for those who do, hi!). After some RnR, and real-life settling down, I have returned. Thank you to Morotheri for his service as Quaestor and I look forward to working with all of you and Maximus!

There is a new quarterly event that will start in October. It will be to earn the title of “The Defender of Satele Shan”. The title of Defender is awarded to the most active member in a quarter within JTF Satele Shan. This honorary title is part of Satele Shan's way to recognize exceptionally active members by involving their character's fictionally into the lore of the house with this honorary title. The title of Defender will be held by the member forever. The competition page can be found here. There is also a more detailed Wikipedia page that will update with the names of the awardees after each quarter that can be from here. Make sure to check it out when you can and I look forward to the names that will be added to the page over the years!

DREAMS & CRYSTAL VISIONS

G-IA Starfighter Ruthless Rancor

Mauro Wynter sat in the starboard pilot seat staring blankly at the control panel. The crew of the Ruthless Rancor were erstwhile fast asleep. Or as fast asleep as the assorted droids could manage sitting in their bunks. The sole exception was the Dathomiri beauty seated to Wynter’s port side.

It had been five years since Wynter had met her. Long, light blonde hair falling to her waist, wildly flowing as she ran. Porcelain skin without a blemish of age or affliction. The lithe, athletic build bemused by the ampler bust of a seductress. And the shock-collar attached to her neck and the whip clenched defiantly in her fist. Sylla Tanos was a beauty indeed.

She rocked side to side, uttering gasps and muted whispers. Not whispers, screams Wynter thought. Memories. Her sleep was always marred in this manner. After so many years together Mauro knew help for her was beyond his reach. Slowly, he shut his eyes and dreamed a simple wish of justice.

Activity Report for September 2017

August/September was a very good month for the House. Promotions, Medals, and Crescents abounded. We also have a new arrival, please join me in welcoming Zeline Nemesis to the House! She has been tearing it up in the Shadow Academy with 23 completed courses and already one degree! Keep up the great work!

- Congrats to Junazee on her promotion to “Seer”! Be sure to read the promotion if you have time. EQ3 is a huge milestone achievement and many congrats to her!

It’s not every day you see two sacramentals awarded in the same month, let alone two to a single member. Ed has done tremendous work for both the DJB and the clan. Glad you're on my side as a filthy lightie brother! Amazing stuff.
