Inos System
Inos 7
Concurrent with Operation: Vengeance
Commander Maneh Moross was frustrated. Though the restoration of life support to the old Organization base on Inos 7 had been successful, there had been setbacks. For the most part, they were minor - a power fluctuation here, a strange whirring sound that distracted everyone there. That particular one had lasted days before the issue had been found.
Then there had been the time life support failed and the entire team nearly suffocated before it was fixed. Maneh ground her teeth as she looked over power readouts for their generator. She had had to keep it under guard, lest Zeg decided to tamper with it any more. The Verpine had been seen loitering nearby, waiting for a chance to approach it. Maneh didn't think he had any malicious intent. Instead, he merely had an insatiable urge to modify and tinker with technology.
Merely, she thought, rueful. Still, the Verpine had his uses. He had quickly identified everything that needed to be patched up for the life support to work and established a temporary power grid so that communications, life support, lights, and other essential systems all ran at a decent amount of power. The problem was, the Verpine thought those accomplishments gave him license to experiment beyond his instructions. Maneh had assured him it did not.
Maybe when they got a second generator he would be less of a problem. In the meantime, they would have to keep him away from important systems. Captain Keithel had stressed that they wanted to have good things to report when the Senior Commander returned.
It's that time of the week again. The most important thing right now is that Vengeance ends really soon. After that is a time of other stuff, before the Great Jedi War. So I'm going to talk about that. Then I'm going to touch on the Antei Combat Centre. Finally, I'll focus on Clan-only competitions for that section of this report.
It's almost over. The battle on Tarthos is coming to a head. Our enemies have thrown their entire might against us, and it's time to shove them back and show them that we are stronger than they. In space, their fleet seeks to trap us. On Aeotheran, we are on Anaxela's doorstep, yet I am sure that she has saved her best and most dedicated followers for last.
If you intend to post, the Runon ends tomorrow. There's still time to join us in dominating our enemies! You can find the thread here.
With the Vengeance Runon ending tomorrow, that leaves us with a roughly two week period (at least) until the Great Jedi War. We think it is coming in January, but are not sure. If you check the news page, the first fictions leading up to it have already been released. So what's going on in this time period? Well, we have the holidays, so we don't anticipate a lot of activity. We've got a few competitions, and we'll have some breathing time, maybe some opportunities to write. It is truly the eye of the storm, between the onslaught of vendettas of the Crusade and Fading Lights, and the Great Jedi War that is to come, though that is likely more of a capstone, rather than something that spans the same scope as the prior vendettas.
Have you heard of this place? It's located here. For those of you who don't know what it is, it is a place to take your character and duel another member's character, usually in a classic lightsaber duel, though a lot more can come into play, such as the terrain or special factors. The ACC is usually used in Great Jedi Wars and other major events, but it can be fun in between them, as well. Sometimes, you have a duel where you don't end up killing the other person, and you may mutually decide to add that experience to your character's history, establishing a new grudge or rival.
If anyone would like to challenge me to a training match, please feel free to do so. It could be a good experience!
What's going on in the Clan right now? Well, there's a few competitions active at the moment. I may update in a couple of more days as well, if some others are released as expected. But for now…
Trap the Thief is three competitions centered around a central theme. It has a fiction, a gaming, and a graphics component. Also, although it is visible on the site, it does not actually start until the 21st, so don't submit until then! Though, if you plan to enter, you may want to do pretty quickly after that, because you'll have the holidays late this month and then the Great Jedi War sometime in January.
The Recruitment Poster competition is also still going. It lasts until the 9th of January. There's also Life Day, which ends on the 25th of this month, and is a simple flash game. It doesn't look like anyone has entered yet, so it should be easy crescents!
Finally, I've launched a single fiction competition, entitled Inos - Investigation, which tasks you with investigating one of Inos' lesser known moons. It ends on the 3rd of January. Your findings could end up being important to the future of the House and Clan, and may be tied into future plot updates.
Once again, there should be a few more soon, and I'll update you guys when those come around, but that's it for now. You can always find the entire competition list here.
So we've got the end of Vengeance tomorrow. The holidays are around the corner. There's some competitions. Then, to kick off next year, we suit up for the Great Jedi War. Fun stuff!
That's all for this time. As always, For Sadow!
Or, if you're having a particularly good holiday, you may choose our other, lesser known battlecry…
Never Sober!
