Inos System
Inos 7
Concurrent with Operation: Vengeance
Commander Maneh Moross felt confident in her suggestion concerning the future location of the outpost. After conferring with Captain Keithel, the two had determined that the old Organization installation on the seventh moon of Inos would probably be an ideal place. To facilitate this, the captain had sent Maneh with a small away team to scout the facility. The team was armed with blaster rifles and scanning equipment, but also with portable holo recorders.
Wearing rebreathers and exosuits, they had discovered much in the abandoned base. First, the installation would require a lot of work to ensure that it could sustain it's own internal atmosphere again with no leakage. Second, a lot of rubble and debris would have to be cleared. After that, generators could be brought in to power the facility's atmospheric array until its own power stations could be restored to working order.
Maneh raised her comlink to her lips. "Captain?"
The reply crackled with static. "Captain Keithel here. What's your status?"
"Installation is clear. It's going to require work, but I think it's doable. We have the images and video requested and are ready for extraction."
"Excellent, " Captain Keithel replied, "the Senior Commander will be pleased."
Hey everyone! The Vengeance conflict continues as we speak. I hope you all are enjoying it. While my main focus of this report is to highlight the final operations of the conflict, I will also briefly touch on a couple of other things. As you may remember, the Great Jedi War is our next big conflict, and is expected to begin in January. Our Summit has already begun planning the next event after that, which will involve House Scholae Palatinae in some way, though I cannot say more than that!
Now, onto Vengeance…
Our forces continue to engage the Organization's army on the fields of Tarthos and Anaxela's forces in the jungles of Aeotheran. On Tarthos, after a messy initial landing, our forces are beginning to coordinate and form a plan to push back the enemy invaders. Roxas has managed to knock out an enemy AT-AT, buying time for me to set up a base camp for our Warhost soldiers to rally around, while reports indicate Shi Long has already destroyed one of the enemy's vaunted "Gene-Soldiers." They might be tough, but the Long has proven that they are not invincible and can be defeated with skill and creativity!
Elsewhere on the battlefield, Sebz, Daedric, and Dragoon have survived hard landings, but their positions on the edges of the battle may prove useful to us. If we can flank the Organization's forces and come at them from multiple sides, we may defeat them that much more quickly!
Meanwhile, in space, Armad and Kaayn are coordinating the defense of the Onyx Two, along with the Absolution and her captain.
On Aoetheran, our crack assault force of Dark Jedi have smashed into what the Gomorag cult was able to muster to defend themselves, hitting their own darksiders with a fist of Sadowan might! Furthermore, thanks to the foresight of Shi Long and careful coordination with our efforts on Tarthos, the actions of a few Warhost soldiers have ensured that the Mon Calamari smuggler Elash Norm will not be assisting Anaxela and has bowed out of the conflict.
To join the fight, or to continue to participate in it, post in the Runon, located here.
Also, join the discussion on the google group, either titled "Aeotheran Kill Squad" or "Defense of Tarthos," depending on where you want to be. Coordination is very useful, as the most effectively coordinated team tends to win battles!
As noted previously, Vengeance is not merely about the battles reported on above. There are also other jobs that the Summit and Warhost leadership have deemed important enough to call on our Sadowan disciples to complete. These missions all expire on the 8th, except for the Trivia, which goes until the 11th because it had to be restarted.
First is a fiction competition. Code Name: Dark Alliance requires dealing with a target known as Rurk Mald. Mald is a powerful Dark Side Adept, so the Summit suggests that you do not attempt to face him alone. Thus, you must take at least one other Dark Jedi on this mission with you, though you are solely responsible for the outcome.
Next is a graphics competition. In Data: Aeotheran Ruins the Summit has requested a sketch of the ruins near Anaxela's last holdout. Further knowledge of this location could be extremely useful in future operations in the area, whether they be pure exploration or to seek the powers of the builders of these structures.
The following competition is a trivia competition. Week Three Trivia tests your knowledge of our system. After all, it is best to know and understand your own environment and what you are fighting for!
Finally, the Summit's evaluation of Sadow's warriors continues with Battlefields of Vengeance. In this competition, prove your skill via a variety of games, with the objective being to earn the most Clusters of Fire.
As noted above, the Great Jedi War is in January and our further operation with House Scholae Palatinae will likely be in February sometime. The competitions of Vengeance end on December 8th, while the Runon continues until the 20th. Thus, the time from the 8th through the end of December is mostly free time provided for the Houses to expand on their own goals, Shar Dakhan included. You will see further competitions during this time, including one to determine the next Black Guard of our Quaestor, Shirai. The Black Guard's role is extremely important. They must serve as the Quaestor's guardian and agent, both ensuring their survival and, if they choose it, taking on special tasks at the Quaestor's behest. The Guard also has the privelege to attend and speak at Summit meetings, allowing them to have a direct voice in the future of House and Clan affairs, without requiring the responsibilities and day-to-day work of an actual Summit position.
I thought I might add this section to sort of explain the fictions at the beginning of my report. Currently, as Aedile, my area of responsibility is Inos and it's moons. This does not mean it is my domain to rule over, nor that others can not enter it. It is a mandate from the Consul and Proconsul that it is part of my job to manage and develop this area, much as Shirai does the same for Aeotheran, Kalon for Tarthos, and Maelous for Amphor. Thus, my goal with the short report fictions is to show that development over time.
Currently, the Marauder corvette Reaper's Call is stationed in the Inos area. As it is a part of Task Force Zulu, and that Task Force falls under the command of our Quaestor, it was pulled aside and placed under the command of my character in order to assist in the development of this area of the system. While I was pulled away to fight in Fading Lights and the further battle at Tarthos, the crew of the Reaper's Call has continued their efforts to find a suitable location for the outpost.
For you, this means a new location for the House and Clan. It also provides us with a fictional basis for further competitions as this area develops, and I hope to use it as such. I also like showing a little of the daily work that goes into managing the system while we're personally engaged in major conflicts. As Inos is my responsibility, I chose to write my "daily work" fictions about its development.
Inos 7, nicknamed "Rockpile", is where we last fought the Organization at the beginning of our campaign to take back our system as the Orian Assembly was being formed. It was heavily damaged and abandoned during the attack, but after scouting the moons of Inos, the crew of the Reaper's Call has determined the structure to be an ideal place to construct an outpost from which to further explore the Inos moons and exploit their resources.
Today we recognize Dakhani members for their excellence in the Vengeance conflict!
First, Shar Dakhan has taken both first and second in the CNS Historical Trivia. Shi Long was first and Darth Vexatus was second, leading our House in historical knowledge of the Clan! Furthermore, Shi Long has earned an Amethyst Crescent for achieving first place in the Code Name: Silent Hydra competition. Finally, John "Dragoon" Witwalker has earned five Clusters of Fire in the past week.
Great job to all three of you in representing Shar Dakhan in the current conflict! Everyone, remember, the Runon is also a competition and everyone who makes at least two posts of 250 words or more will qualify for the competition and earn Clusters of Ice as well!
The battle for Tarthos and Anaxela's head continues, my friends. We are nearing our objectives every day. Let no obstacle daunt you, nor enemy hold you back from your goal. You are the Disciples of Sadow, the legacy of the Sith Lord's ancient empire. Show no mercy and drive our enemies before us!
As always, For Sadow!

I still maintain that the fiction competition was clearly rigged. :P
