Hey guys,
You all probably know me by now, but I'm Locke Sonjie. I've been Aedile before and sat in this very position, but it's been awhile. I'm excited to get my feet wet again and get back to officially helping the Clan out and serving as your Aedile.
In this one, I'm going to give you a bit of news, talk about something that may be coming soon, and list what competitions are going on right now. Normally, I'd talk about awards that House members have gotten, but for now I've only been receiving those emails for a day.
With Mirado stepping down due to being busy and stuff, Shirai has stepped up from Aedile to become our next Quaestor. I have to say, it's only been twenty four hours, and I'm already having a bit of a hard time keeping up, so I think you guys are going to love what we'll have in store in the near future.
That's allowed me to become Aedile, which I'm sure you've gathered from this report thus far.
In addition, Syntari has stepped down from being the Battleteam Leader of Devil's Shroud and moved on to other things. She did a good job starting the Battleteam, and now Alexander DelGotto is replacing her as Team Leader. Good luck Alex!
I'm pretty happy to be working with Shirai as Quaestor and Alex and Izanami as Battleteam Leaders, and of course you guys, the general kickass membership of House Shar Dakhan.
So that covers House news. What about the Brotherhood itself? Well, recently…
Baxir has stepped down from Herald He did some amazing stuff in his short time as Herald. His successor is Socorra, and it looks like she really knows her stuff and I can personally say she's really helpful with Heraldy stuff.
Muz released a GM report There was a hell of a lot of stuff in this report. One of the most important things is that Sildrin Sadow got promoted to Dark Side Adept! As many of you know, the promotion from Equite 4 to DA is possibly the biggest milestone in the Brotherhood as far as promotions go.
This report also includes some other stuff as well, like noting that both Forum Tribune and Recruitment Tribune positions are open. If you're looking to get ahead in the Brotherhood, or just want to contribute in a significant way, these are great positions to do it from. The first is basically the administrator, manager, and developer of the entire message board for our club. The second is just what it sounds, and handles coordinating our efforts to grow and develop the club's membership.
Finally, the Runon portion of Fading Lights just ended. The next part is in late April or May, and rumor has it that it will be Antei Combat Centre-centric. So if you don't have a character sheet or aren't qualified for the ACC, now is the time to do those things! Any of us Summit members would be happy to assist you.
With that part of Fading Lights over, we have some time for our own Clan stuff, which leads me to…
Well, Shirai and I are just settling in, but there's already some things going on or coming up.
First, Shirai and I are working on overhauling the House's wiki pages. This means bringing existing pages up to date, and making sure everything is covered. If you would like to help out, we could use writing assistance with various parts of articles, graphics experience with images for our articles, and wikifying experience with, well, wikifying what everyone produces.
Izanami and Alex are also working with us to hammer out a core "theme" for the House and it's two Battleteams. This won't be anything you have to stick to too hard, but it will provide a framework that we can build our fictions around.
Finally, the Clan Summit is planning a future event for us. This will involve the various Battleteams fighting for dominion over important locations, whether strongholds, industrial sites, or something else. So far, it's looking like a fun way to help your Battleteam obtain a solid reward for your activity and successes.
This leads into a little something that really deserves it's own section.
To facilitate this competition, provide additional roleplaying elements, and include everyone as much as possible, we will be moving every active member of the House into one of the two Battleteams by the end of the week. If you have a preference, please let us know before next Sunday!
Now I'm going to list what competitions are going on right now.
First, Sanguinus is running trivia in #odan-urr every friday night at 11pm EST. This is open to the whole club, so if you're interested, go stomp some lighty ass! (and everyone else's) It is listed as "finished" right now, but it looks like it's supposed to be run every friday.
Next up is a couple of Diablo 3 challenges, both to kill a difficult boss. One is solo and the other is for doing it in a group.
And then there's another to be the first member to hit level 70.
Then there's this fun little fiction competition DJK Kookimarissia is running.
Finally, there's another gaming competition, this one for Pazaak. Basically, you play a lot, you win a lot, you get Crescents. And anyone can play Pazaak.
That may not seem like a whole lot of competitions, but Fading Light just ended, and there will definitely be more to do in the near future.
That's pretty much it for this report. Next time we'll have more to say regarding the "Battleteam war" scenario, and I might have better formatting in my report. I'm still trying to get used to this Markdown stuff... Keep an eye out for Shirai's Quaestor report!
